Hi, this is my first post here :jointsmile:
So, do you guys drive normally when you are stoned?
I usually do it with no problem. Only once I was so stoned I couldn't feel my feet (I didn't realize how stoned I was until I had to actually use my braincells for something, lol) so I had to drive real slow to the party. Plus my car has a manual transmission, which is a problem in this circumstances :smokin:
Well, I believe you shouldn't drive stoned if you are new to toking. If you are a normal (everyday) user, then its not really a problem. I actually drive slower and concentrate more.
BUT I don't like it. I find that it ruins my high. I'd rather be somewhere comfortable then driving a car where I'm putting myself and others in danger.

If no one else can drive, ill drive. Not to brag but im quite the driver, high or not. so im the fall guy when we get stoned, but belive u, me: if were going far enough or i have to drive alot i make them pony up on gas!
I drive but my friends pay me in munchies or gas. When I drive it feels like a video game and my car isn't moving but everything around me is :P
I have, but I try not too. You just never know when someone a-hole will plow into you & then you have to talk to cops.
I've actually driven stoned a few times now (I'm a designated driver because I don't drink) and it's actually been pretty easy and normal. But I have never drove when I was right out the window on herb. I always call a limit for myself.

All the time... doesnt effect me any more than driving sober does, in fact i think im a bit too aggressive and fast when im sober, but i also embarass myself by coming to a ful lstop at green lights to look both ways when im stoned
I do pretty much all activities (minus going to work) stoned. driving to errands, to the store, whatever, Im probably high.
i do... some strains are worse than others... I have had to park up once and sleep it off cuz I was far too high... if you do, just be careful and if u feel ur goin to crash then pull over
I have. I told my friend i was sober. I accually did really well untill half way down the street i started cracking up because my friend believed me. He got mad but let me drive his car any ways
The only place I can smoke is in my car unless my parents are asleep or gone but I'm a good if not better driver when I'm high. The other day I was driving on a country road all sorts of high and a big semi was taking a left and if I werent high I would of just flew past the semi on the right when he was stopping but since I was stoned I just chilled and took a hit and if I werent high and drove past I would of gotten hit by a truck that was turning the other way that I wouldnt of seen, so being high probably saved me from ruining my car and probably getting arrested :stoned:
While I'm not a licensed drive yet, when I go out to practice driving I make sure to not be high. I think getting high like getting drunk is best done when you have no responsibilities including things like driving. Even if it's something minor such as weed making you over analyze something, your reaction time is most likely slowed and it's just not good. Plus everytime a weed user is caught under the influence of MJ during an accident, even if it wasn't the cause of it, still makes us as potheads look bad.
Dude my friends f*cking smoke right in the car while driving. I was watching my buddy take out his pipe, pack it, then spark it up all while driving his stick shift car. I was like "damn dude, do this a few times before?" lol
I don't like driving high, I don't worry about myself, I know I'm cool to drive...but it's the other morons on the road you have to watch out for. All you need is some ditzy chick on a cell phone rear ending you, and because you are stoned, you get blamed for the accident. Fuck that shit, I'll just not drive myself.
But I'm not at all saying driving stoned is safe...some of my friends scare the shyt out of me when they are driving...usually they don't notice red lights, even though they are driving ass slow, going through a red light at any speed is a tad dangerous. But when I did drive when I was younger, I'd say the worst thing I would do when I drive is go to the wrong fast food place on accident lol

If I don't have to drive when I smoke then yeah I don't for obvious reasons. I smoke every day and so driving high doesn't bother me in the least bit but like everyone has pointed out before all it takes is some other dickface crashin into you while you're high..
driving around high is such a buzzkill but I've done it before

It's not a good idea for me to drive while stoned, too much forgetfulness and paranoia. The first time I drove stoned, which was the first or second time I ever was stoned, I could barely turn the steering wheel. But tonight while I was walking to a car from going to see the movie "Die Hard", I passed by some teens who just got out of a car and I smelled weed trailing them, that was cool.
Now, smoking while being a passenger, that rocks. :D
Of course I drive when I'm stoned! It when I'm not stoned you gotta watch out.
Yea, i've been smoking for four years, and when I was a freshman in college, we didn't smoke in our room much, so the only way to smoke w/out getting caught at the time was for a burn cruise. at first i didn't drive, because i was BRAND new, but then im sure i caught the bug and started cruising. probably the summer between my sophomore and junior years in college was when i really refined driving while smoking. learning how to balance the bowl on top of the steering wheel, and trusting that you are putting the lighter on the right spot because DON'T take your eyes off the road lol
i would never tell somebody to try or start driving stoned... it's something that is probably different for everyone. i know for me, i always get very attentive behind the wheel of a car, im never in any mood to do anything stupid, so with the luggage that weed usually delivers, i get wickid paranoid, and therefor do probably a better job at paying attention than i do sober.
it's just that reaction time is definitely more slower. im not trying to be one of those TRUTH commercials, but we all know that reaction time for ANYthing is slower on weed, it's just how it goes, but driving you just need to be careful

I'm always high, from wake to sleep, and half the time I smoke is in my car. We do it at two friends houses, and in one kids backyard, but besides that we always smoke in the car, while driving. Using my knees i can drive for virtually hours without touching the steering wheel, except on turns. Been doing it since i started driving, all my friends do it too but some drive like shit when high. I live in a suburb of chicago and we go there almost daily and I'm usually the one driving. Even on a 14 hour road trip to ATL we smoked the whole way down, through the night, and arrived safe as usual. I can even roll a blunt, crack, fill, roll, light, and smoke all while in constant motion on the road. Some people are retarded when their high, I just drive their cars, or mine, and laugh at them as they are retarded and i'm driving like a pro. The only thing hard is some larger bongs as it gets in the way with the wheel.
Don't drive on acid though, thats not a fun experience. I took 5 hits of some shit that got my friends full blown visuals off 1 hit. 20 minutes after putting the blotter on my tongue the road started doing magic carpet shit, waving, then other shit started happening FAST!! and I called my friend, drove 5 minutes longer to his house, tripping balls, and then made him drive me around chicago while I smoked him down fat.
I used to drive high all the time. Shoot... We used to smoke and drive! Those were the crazy days though. I would never do that now, or recommend it. You can actually get a DWI when you are high, so you need to be extra careful. Some people make better drivers, some are worse. I drive like a little old lady and am always paranoid as hell. Ahh the good ole' days..
I don't even think about it now. Smoking is just one of my routines of the day. I do everything while high:rasta:
We use to ride and smoke alot, but we've gotten so paranoid in our old age, that we've stopped that...lol:D
Yeah I drive stoned a lot but like a lot of you I don't like it because I can only focus on driving and not enjoying my high. It's all about enjoying your high people. Enjoy your mother fucking life.
never it is irresponsible and I belive it is very important to be a responsible stoner, to educate the controlers and take some ammunition to throgh at them when they through their lies our way
that's funny, the first time I got decently high I had to drive - my manual transmission truck - and I couldn't feel my feet. everytime I started from a stopped position I either peeled straight the fuck out or stalled. it was redonkulousQuote:

Same as PsychedelicsAndChron I am high pretty much all day, and driving is usually required. I am most certainly a better driver high than sober, partially because out of my driving career I have been high more often than not. Just have to be careful to watch for stop signs (i tend to miss those when i smoke the REALLY potent shit)
Even if you think you can drive just as well or better when you're high what happens if you get into an accident and then the cops knows you're high even if it wasn't caused by the weed you'll be in deep shit because it's easy to argue that that's exactly what happened.
I drove the first time I was high and it was fine but I definitely try to avoid it.
I absolutely do NOT drive whilst stoned.
I've driven mildly buzzed before and really feel uncomfortable and unsafe. My limit is a small hit or two before I am like, "okay, gotta just chill here for a while until my brain works again".
I've also tried riding my Ninja stoned before- I made it out of the driveway and turned around and parked the damn thing.

I drive all the time high the trick is to start driving sober then slowly light the blunt and burn while you drive so you get use to each and every hit that gets you a little more high then next thing you know that your so high but your mind knows that your driving so it stays on track....good shyt...
I hate driving when I'm high, I just wanna lay back and relax. I dont even like having to get up for when the pizza guy arrives.
I have driven approximately 100,000 miles sober. And about 150,000 miles stoned. It doesnt matter how stoned I am, how late or early it is, what kind of weather, what kind of vehicle, manual or auto transmission... it doesnt matter. I dont really have to expend brain power to drive, I just go into autopilot mode and let instinct do all the work. I would much rather be stoned out of my mind when driving somewhere. The only downside is being so relaxed I miss an exit or something then I have to readjust my course lol.
I cant think of anything I have ever done that I havent done better while high.
All 30-40 something of my courtdates (traffic and criminal) I was stoned for, and I got off on every single one of them.
about 95% of the times Ive talked to police(and trust me with that many courtdates you can bet the amount Ive talked to cops is higher) Ive been stoned like shit. And if they knew it, they couldnt prove it. They ask me to tilt my head back and close my eyes and I pass that pathetic test with flying colors.. aahhahahaha fuckin pigs.
Most of the time when I drive I just sit back, relax and use my knees anyways... high or not.
I was borrowing a car from my dad (an old 1988 volvo) and we were going to a party out of town and when we got into the town the car started smoking and lit onto fire (had nothing to do with weed). So I had to talk to fire department and the sheriff and i was baked. My friend put the pipe and weed in a cheeze-it box and put it in the car that came to pick us up. I got off no trouble (besides losing an old car and my Creedence tapes)
I hate driving stoned, its fucking scary. I feel like the damn car is floating along the road and I think Im going faster than I really am.
I wouldnt go as far as to say I drive stoned, maybe a little "cerebrally enlightened", but I always know whats going on. I really hate to do cause it blows my enlightenment and I just end up smokin a replacement when I get back home, thus depleting more of my goods.:mad:
