Should I get a pH(x) Trinity or Duo?

I went to this new, local headshop about a month ago and fell in love with the pH(x) Trinity. For anyone who isn't familiar with it, it has a diffuser in the downstem, three perculators, and an ice pinch. The specific one I saw was $310 negotiable. I had come to the conclusion that I was going to buy it, and that I would be set piece-wise for a while (I'm going into my sophomore year of college.) Another headshop in the area has it priced at $345.

I recently saw on it on sale for 25% off (about $235), but I decided to wait a few days before heading up and they sold it :( In addition, the sale ended, so now I'm stuck paying full price.

All the guy has left are pH(x) Duos, and he just placed an order (no Trinitys though) so it might take a while. He said he would give me the Duo for $200 out the door, so now I'm trying to decide whether or not I should get it or wait for the Trinity.

The Duo IS much cheaper, but I would also be paying full price. The owner of the shop said he didn't know if another sale would be coming up soon, but I assume there won't be one since the guy is real cool and chill.

Anyway, the guy said the Duo is easier to pull, which I can totally believe since theres one less perc. I just came here for a second opinion. I don't have much money so I'm trying to be a wise consumer... and I definitely would prefer not to pay $300+ for a bong.

So what do you think? Is the 3rd perc overkill, or does it really make that big a difference (i.e. is it worth the extra $100)? The Duo also has more room for ice, probably about 4-5 cubes, whereas the Trinity could probably only hold 2.

I've never smoked a bong with a percolater, diffuser, OR ice pinch, so this is a step up, but it also makes it harder since I can't really judge the value of such items.

Yeah that's what I'm thinking.. I mean c'mon, after a diffuser and two percolaters, how effective could the third actually be? I'm just trying to make sure I don't regret my decision in the longrun, as I am pretty low on fund-ature at the moment haha.

believe me i doubt youd be able to tell the difference between 2 or 3 percs

if you're into vaporizers, have a gander at the Vapolution ones. they're right under $200 with all the accesories. they vape great and get you too high. :stoned:

but if you dont, go ahead and get the duo. im sure it will rip like a mother fucker, and $100 for an extra perc isnt worth it to me. :(

As for the vape, I plan on purchasing a vapegun when I get the money, which should be sometime next semester.

buy vapolution. bongs are great. vaporizers are better. vapolution is the best. glass on glass means pure vapor!

Haha but vaporizing THROUGH a bong would be the best.

My friend did it and threw up and he's been smoking on/off since middle school.

Oh and on a sidenote I wish I had found out about the Vapolution earlier.

My friend got the Vapir 1 handheld... paid the same price and I was actually quite disappointed with its performance.

But for now I'll probably just let it chill in my bank account in case I ever need it.

And yeah, that's kinda what I expected would happen with a Trinity, and it must be a pain in the ass to clear.

idk all i can say is your gonna be happy with either choice but 2 of my friends have triple perc bongs with the diffusers and ash catcher and ice notch thing and all i can say is that it kicks my ass
