possesion of marijuana, i got a problem.

so heres what happened, it was about midnight, i was driving and had just picked up a sack, then this popo out of nowhere creeps behind me, flashes his lights and pulls me over. the first thing he did is ask for my license, i told him i didnt have one, so he handcuffs me and puts me in his pigmobile. then he searches my car and finds my stash. it wasn't a lot though, about half a dub, other half in my shoe. so he writes me up, "driver in possesion of marijuana", but
thankfully does not impound my ride. This was about 3 months ago, i know the punishment wont be too much, im in cali, but the thing im worried about is that the court date was last month and like an idiot, forgot about it, until yesterday when i found the ticket. now my question, does this worsen the situation? if so, how bad? also, any advice on what to say in court? i really need to get this fixed, i cant smoke in peace :mad:

there is now a warrant for your arrest. for not showing up to court.

Yeah, I hate to say it but essentially you turned a small fine into a potentially larger fine and at least one night in jail, if not more. Try and be more responsible, and good luck man. If it's your first time getting in trouble you may get off somewhat easily...you may also want to contact a lawyer.

You need a legit excuse for why you couldnt show up in court that day. Listen to these words of advice from me: Get it done.

so what happened? yes you should turn yourself in for something as small as that, especially in cali. here it would have meant a night in jail and a possesion charge at least. they will look at you as more responsible for clearing things up yourself before getting picked up for a warrant.

I don't know why everybody is babying you. You need some tough love. You are either very young and should not be here, or you are a complete idiot. The first thing any criminal should do is learn how not to get caught--before ever even committing a crime.

I suggest you do not turn yourself in, continue your path of idiocy and spent some time in the clink. That will help educate you on driving without a license while carrying weed...in fact, you should go pick up some weight right now, but wait until it is dark and drive with your lights off. Wait until you see a trooper, then blast through a red light. That way, if you forget about your warrant, the fuzz will remind you...ah, shit. This happened months ago, I just noticed. You are probably locked up by now.

Idiots who drive without licences deserve more than a small fine, and if your stupid enough to LOOSE your ticket and not turn up to court, you deserve all you get.

i got a possession charge before, i had to do 70 hr. community service, 2 na meeting(which was fucking gay-not as a sexual orientation), i had to go to teen court( i was 17 at the time though, teen court is only in Florida), and i had to pay a $150 fine-my dad payed it though
