Presidential Vote 2008 #2
Okay, so I see there is a poll titled "Presidential Vote 2008" but there are no choices for anyone in the Democratic party, which personally, I think will be in the White House in 2008. Vote for who you support in the Democratic Primary. Also, will it matter to you who wins the nominations? Will you be voting for the individual, or the party?

In the youtube debate, the candidate who seemed to actually answer the questions asked was Joe Biden. For republican it's Ron Paul for obvious reasons...and he understands the why of war...apostasy and apostate countries, not simply Iraq or Iran versus USA..he's the closest one who gets it right. Plus he's pro-legalization for pot.

None of them are worth knockin inna head
Presidential Vote 2008 #2
is it my imagination or does the field of candidates get more and more pitiful every year? none of the front runners from either side are worth looking at, they seem to be throwing anyone they can into the ring and hoping that one of them can fool the people into taking them seriously. why is it that only the dregs of society are willing to run for office any more?

Kucinich or Edwards would stop the war and institute universal health care, what's the question again? BTW, they both favor legal medical pot and lessor penalties for possession.
Presidential Vote 2008 #2
All of them suck. And why would you want gore to run after he let bush cheat in the election? Gore is the reason for americas problems today and can go inconveniently fuck himself.

John Edwards is the only one one with a real sense of fervency, honesty and urgency, except maybe Joe Biden (who is underrated and underappreciated). The top tier 3 would all be proficient presidents, but I think Edwards is most likely to be elected against the republicans' slimy distortions of truth. Plus he might appeal more to conservative religious voters. Hillary would divide voters like she does now, and be more of a target for far right a-holes. But if I could pick a dem that would be guaranteed to be in the white house, it would have to be Obama, because I think he's most likely to reform the corrupt political system at ground zero.
Among the second tier, I really like Kucinich, but it's hard to picture him as president. All Mike Gravel does is make dems look bad, no matter his intentions.
On the GOP side, Mitt Romney is my favorite and I think he should run again in eight years after the democratic admin cleans up bush's mess. Also, Mike Huckabee is a smart one.
Someone mentioned Universal health care, which I hope means Universal health insurance, rather than publicized health care that the gov't would control. That would be a disaster

sorry to double post, but this tortured rationale could be employed in blaming anything on anyone. the reason for america's problems is never one person. We were the ones that fell for bush's cute rhetoric. We were also victimized by the system itself (outdated voting process). It wouldn't have mattered who was running against bush, nepotism would have still prevailed and florida would still have been promised to bush before the election.
You can criticize Gore all you want, but he's only guilty of annoying us with the truth. He didn't want to use the same dirty tricks bush used to win an election which indicates integrity and benevolent intellectualism which would have abounded under a Gore administration, and been in absolute contrast to the current white house

Hahaha, while I may not agree with what you say, I'll laugh my ass off to the death for the way you say it

Bill Richardson has my vote for the Dem's  I don't care if he isn't the best at public speaking. Only candidate that has voted pro medical marijuana already. And his talks worked with N.Korea, they are disarming now.

The Republicans dont even have front running candidates. I know the election day is over a year away, but none of the GOP candidates have their shit together, like the Dems in '04.

it's not who wants to run, but rather who has the money to run as the ones that are running seem to have some kindda pull, the big names i guess. but it all boils down to what front runners each side wants in i think there all are no good, i have yet seen any of them that run do what they say they will do when they make it to office.

mike gravel would be the best president ever. all the other candidates besides ron paul can suck a cock.
Presidential Vote 2008 #2
Somebody actually blew my mind earlier when they said Richardson/Kucinich 2008. I voted for Kucinich in this poll but I am going to be a bit real here, he has no chance whatsoever. Although I don't fully support Richardson I think they would do great in the white house together.
Presidential Vote 2008 #2
Gravel does seem like a crazy old man, even when he speaks the truth :p

I honestly believe Obama will win this election, even though he thinks out loud ("uhhhhhhhhhh"). Hilary is a shit head, Edwards is in love with himself, and the list goes on.
What this country needs is a noble and honest communicator and decision maker for the people.

Dennis Kucinich. I like his policies on health insurance, the war on drugs, abortion, Iraq war, and gay/lesbian issues, etc.

Sadly, Clinton is probably the best liar of the bunch. I think she'll be the democratic candidate.
By the way, the other thread was about who you think would win, not who you support. But ok, I can tell you who on here I like: NOBODY
But I put down Clinton because I think she'll be the one up there... as fucking sad as it is! A lot of feminists are going to vote for her mostly because she's a female; to be the first female president.
You know it's true... and I've heard feminists talk about how a female president is needed in person, many times. Of course, a lot of it is based on the fact that Hillary is a female, and not necessarily that she's a complete liar, and a very good one at that.
ceecee79, I like your question: "will you vote for the individual or the party?" Very good question, because a lot of people I know vote primarily on the party they support, and not as much on the actual beliefs of anyone in the party (they do, roughly... but not enough).
Vote for the individual! The party doesn't mean anything!

kucinich is the best dem, for turning around the onslaught of receant govt bs...
but give me ron paul or nada

And the media is more interested in covering what Hilary is wearing...Christ the media is pathetic! I think a big part of why we get such shitty candidates is that the good ones don't get the media coverage they deserve.
ugh...I just hope Clinton doesn't win, sure it'd be better than any republican, but little will change with her in office. Obama is the best one to win, but he can't win because he isn't doing any political attacking, and history has proven that attack ads are an effective political tool, and really, should be used. Democrats are terrible at attack ads, that's why Kerry lost. He had the easiest task of simply pointing out all of Bush's fuck ups for the past 4 years, but Bush attacked harder and stronger, and won.
Democrats need to grow some balls if they want to win in 08

Barack was on "Meet the Press" this morning, and sounded very good. I just wish he had more support.

I won't be voting for any of them. If I had to vote dem I would probably either vore for Hillary, because she is a woman or Obama because he's almost black. Both terrible reasons to vote someone into office.
