live and let live!
Do unto others as you would to yourself.
Gay is OK!
Be yourself.
I agree...I think that everyone is entitled to make their own choices about the lifestyle that they lead. I don't understand why they don't have the right to marry...let 'um be miserable with the rest of us;)j/k
Gay guys are great to shop with too;)
Most of them have great taste:D
Gays are disgusting!!! I have to hate them so that everybody knows how manly I am and that im not gay!! Really!!! Im not!!!!! Im not gay!!!!
(imitation of a guy who claims to hate gays)
I could care less if two people of the same sex make each other happy and get married. The world has bigger problems to worry about.
I disagree completely and this is why...Quote:

How will I explain to my sun as he is growing up that being gay is not natural when he sees people legally married all over the place. Kids need to know that being gay is not a natural thing, and is not the "norm". And yes, being gay is not natural, the point of sex is to procreate, not ejaculate all over some one that cant receive it. there is people out there that are into fucking donkeys and and animals like that. Should we give them the right to get married and recognized in court as a legal couple, that has to have legal divorces. Who gets the house and who gets the stable... LOL. Im sure gay people would agree that they dont want people being able to just marry dogs and cats and ducks for that matter. Because its sacred to them also, thats why they want to be recognized as married like normal people. Because they want to be a part of that sacred joining of two people, but guess what... It was created for a man and a woman, not two people of the same sex. And I know there are gays out there that adopt. Would you want your kid coming home and saying mommy.... I want you to buy me a dog so I can have a girl friend like my friend Tommy's dad does. Well its the same with my kids, I dont want them to say to me one day: My teacher at school is gay, and gay marriage is legal. So why cant i fool around with my friends when they are over for a sleep over? BECAUSE ITS WRONG. If you want to be public about doing what you do thats fine, but dont try and change the marraige laws so you can feel normal about doing some one of the same gender. Because you know its not natural to do it, and dont try and say its natural because you damn will know its not. If so we would be A-Sexual beings. Im done ranting now, laterz..

:stoned:
Would you also say that sexually-active heterosexual people who do not have any desire to have children, and/or lack the ability to procreate because of a hysterectomy, vasectomy, or other reason, are doing somthing that is wrong as well? Would you outlaw birth control to stop people from having sex purely for fun? How about marriage without kids? Should that be allowed, in your view?Quote:

i'm fine with gay marriage and rights... but im not so sure about hate crimes personally... I've always kinda thought that punishing someone for thinking a certain way is kinda ridiculous... I figured that if u were gonna beat someone or kill them you probably hate them and whether that be because they are gay or of another race or because they talked shit about ur momma is pretty pointless... you should only punish people for what they do not how they think
oh and btw like marriage means anything anymore lol... lol honestly look at the way our country looks at marriage nowadays... 50% divorce rate... clearly us straight people cant fucking get this marriage thing right, why not let gay people give it a shot
Being gay is natural. Animals do it all the time. And what makes marriage so sacred. It was only made so people knew who their children were for inheritance purposes. So when they die, they know that it really is their child that inherits their shit.
love is love.
foshizzle
Dont you dare compare gay marriage to beastiality, were talking about human beings not fucking ducks
and you can tell you son that if two people love each other, then there should be no barriers between themselves and marriage, no matter what the church says
Gay people should rise up and create their own righteous ceremony! God says no. Gay says yes! You could use that for a campaign slogan, if you wish. Also, I don't understand why gay marriage was put under such scrutiny in the past. There's the obvious theory that the nation's majority finds gay marriage downright disrespectful and should be abolished. I guess that's it. So what are we going to do? Why should gay people live less a life because of a majorities insecurities? "Good question, Ganj."
amen
What would it take to completely legalize gay marriage in america do you think?
i think a leader with some balls
i think its sad really. How America is so out of touch with its constitution. Gay people not being able to adopt? Its rediculous.
There are no true values anymore. I think when people realize that the world doesn't belong to them, and all this space and protection we fight to attain, we build up so much hate over something that has a peaceful resolve. I can't even say it's sad without somehow being susceptible to slipping into this tiny little realm where people think their narrow thoughts.
I might understand if gay people were in the middle of the road blowing each other or something and being a niusance but in reality they are just like everyone else except they just like their sex differently.
notice its only an issue with folks like GWB during election years
I think GWB actually is againt it though. Although i dont doubt that a lot of politicians are just anti gay marriage to get the stupid christian votes.
yeah screw evangelicals
his reasons for being against it are always so generic and basic, gods will and all that jazz
I believe gays should have the right to be married, they are humans also. But I do not think they should be able to adopt. Their child would be ridiculed by his or her peers and could suffer from it. A man and a man cannot create a baby, so they need to choose to live with it or change lifestyles.
Santa and the easter bunny have more to do with reality than this crap.Quote:

And think about the logic behind homosexuality being a choice. Who in their right mind would decide to make their life 10 times harder rather than being like everybody else. Given the choice, any sane person would choose to be straight and live an easier life. We shouldnt make their lives harder because honestly, who gives a fuck who somebody fucks?
sooo lemme get this straight. would you rather have two straight people who hate each other and cheat on each other get married than two gay people who are faithful? B/c marriage is so damn 'sacred'. Wow.
One of my brothers is gay. When he sat my dad down to tell him, my dad(A life long, die hard Democrat) said " Whew! I thought you were going to tell me you were a Republican!" lol! Thats my dad!Quote:

Well I knew I would be rimmed for giving my asked for opinion, but F-it thats cool with me. And Thats just a stupid question to ask me. " would you rather have two straight people who hate each other and cheat on each other get married than two gay people who are faithful? B/c marriage is so damn 'sacred'."
You act as if gays are better than strait people. You talk as if gays dont lie and cheat on there SO either to. Well you are wrong, wrong, wrong. I dont hate gays, i just feel strongly about them NOT getting married. All people lie and cheat, its human nature. But that lame little blurb of non reality does not justify changing the laws so gays can marry. I have gay friends, not many, but a few. I share my opinions with them, and some even agree. The educated ones that is. It could be confusing to a child, being gay and having a family, being married just like there mom and dad are. It is not normal, and it is not natural. You cant tell me it is, I think its border line mental sickness.
And as far as people like me needing to accept gay marriage and gay rights in order to open there minds and bla bla bla bla bla. Are you freaking serious? You really think because I dont advocate gay marriage that its hindering us growers in some way, shape, or form, from getting marijuana legal. WHAT..... Some of you people just cant get your heads out of the clouds and come down to logic when it comes to peoples rights. Let me guess,.... you dont just want to legalize cannabis, but all drugs to huh. I hate hippies. Respect my opinion, even if its a little more blunt and on the opposite end of what most of you think. Oh and yes, im not sugar coating it, sorry if hurt your perfect, untainted, virgin little ears. If you dont want this kind of opinions being stated, then dont post the question. this is the internet, and your bound to get answers that you feel strongly the opposite of. I bet there many of you that dont advocate my sport mixed martial arts. I bet If I asked the opinion of the forum about cage fighting, theres bound to be at least one person that tells me its a violent sport and the people that do it are sick in the head, and bla bla bla. If every one agreed with you on gay rights, it would be legal for them to marry. BUT ITS NOT.......
Yes, you do have a mental illness.Quote:

Civil Unions vs Gay Marriage - A Compromise
This is an issue which has gotten lots of press and attention from our lawmakers recently, one side sees it as a basic American right, the other as an attack on the institution of marriage. Is there middle ground? How do we address this problem and ensure all citizen's rights are equal under the Constitution? Do we really want to amend the Constitution to specify a non-right to a minority in this nation? And if we set this precedent . . . . what's next?
I think a huge part of the current problem is nomenclature, for example what is marriage? Is it a religious ceremony conducted in a church and blessed of God? Or is it the civil recognition of a union between two people? For many it is both, a church ceremony after obtaining a license from the local government to marry. Which of these are we talking about when we say gay marriage?
Let me now say this, I am a Christian, and believe homosexuality is a sin. I do not want my church to sanctify a union between two members of the same sex. However, if we truly believe in the separation of church and state, I feel we must allow civil unions for gay couples. To do otherwise is to deny them the right guaranteed by our founding principles, the right to the pursuit of happiness. Government recognition of civil unions for gay couples provides them the same legal status as a couple married in church, thereby ensuring their equal rights.
Marriage is a different subject, as I have said I do not want my church to sanctify gay marriage, and I do not want any church to be coerced into doing something against their beliefs. That said, IF a church feels comfortable in presiding over gay marriages then to not allow them to do so would be government interference in their religious freedom. Do we want to set that precedent?
I think the time has come for all peoples to do what we can to unite our nation rather than making laws to divide us. And anytime our leadership starts talking about a Constitutional amendment I get very nervous, sort of like a long-tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs. The compromises I have set forth above allow churches who disapprove of gay marriage to not allow it, each church is allowed to worship and act as they see fit, as our Constitution intended. The government extends the rights offered to the majority of Americans to all, permitting civil unions for gay couples guaranteeing their right to the pursuit of happiness, something we all should hold dear.
We as Americans have so much work to do to bring our nation together, and so many issues which, to date, have no good answers. Herein is an answer to one problem. It requires some compromise from those who have strict beliefs, which includes myself, but it is a compromise whose time has come. Let us move on to address the other problems we have in our nation.

Any way I can see that some of the smaller minds have picked me to pick on since my opinion obviously goes against there own day to day lives. If you like it in the but, dude thats fine with me. Let that be known. But I will never agree that it is right or even morally ok for two people of the same gender to legally get married and then to unite under god as a married couple. That contradicts the point of marriage.
Shut up dude, your obviously like 15 with very little knowledge of the world around you, and your just repeating things you have heard your parents say. And the passages in the Bible that state that homosexuality is a sin were added in the 16th century.
and what is the point of marriage? according to a definition i found, Marriage is an interpersonal relationship, usually intimate and created as a contract. Marriage is not a exclusivly religious ceremony anymore, many atheists get married. Logic would say that some marriages have absolutley nothing to do with religion, only love. And if two people love each other and wish to be married, it shouldn't be up to the church to decide whether they can marry or not.
Being homosexual is a natural thing Picilo. As apes we would have most likely engaged in homosexual acts just as other animals do in the wonderful kingdom of...well, animals. Having sex with another species of animal is not natural due to it not being a normal instinct throughout out all species. In fact its more of a common occurrence between people who have had issues or problems as children and it may have affect their growing up.
I can understand why religious people wouldn't want Gay's getting married since marriage is historically a religious thing right? However, if Gay people are getting married in the name of love, then I believe they should be able to do it. Just not in the name of a god who doesn't believe homosexuality is right. I follow no religion, nor am I a homophobe. I'm all for Gay people being able to live their lives normally since they are normal. I'm just saying you can't expect gay people to be allowed to get religiously married if the religion is against homosexuals.
Actually, I wanted you to bend over so I could send the shit you're spewing back where it belongs. :toilet_claw:Quote:

But I dont agree the even half of what it says is factual. I do believe in god, but not in the traditional Christian since. Im more scientific about it. Which goes hand and hand with my believes on gays. honestly, do you know why were attracted to each other. Male to female? Pheromones play a large role in who you want to mate with. The stronger the immune system is of the male, the more the female will want to reproduce with him instinctualy. This is due to our NATURAL reproductive system that delegates the hormonal rush in our bodies and brain that drive us to want sexual intercourse. Not to say that it is the one deciding factor on who you sleep with, but it plays a big part of the female attraction. Sex was and is for reproduction. Yes we do it for fun and our own sexual stimulation, but that does not mean sticking it in any thing that feels good just because you like the way it feels is justifiable.
So here is a question for you. If a person finds him self naturally (from birth, no choices) attracted to a chicken, should he be allowed to be with it legally. And if not then why? And after that, explain to me how your answer is any different for two gays getting married.
And as for saying we used to be apes. I was never a ape, nor were you. Do you not under stand how evolution works? Its the theory that a species has to change in order to continue living in a changing environment. If there was some cataclysmic event that made us evolve from apes, then there would be no more apes around. I believe we were and are still very similar, but we are not apes, nor were we ever an ape. Again, if this was the case why is there still apes roaming the earth. Did we consciously evolve, or ohh i know... only a certain amount of apes decided to evolve for the hell of it and the rest moved to another continent and stayed u evolved because there environment was good enough in there new home. HAHAHAHA. It does not work like that, either they evolved into humans and apes are a thing of the past, or that theory is complete BS. That argument about apes is split 50/50 among scientific researchers. And you obviously agree with the other half.
what i dont understand is why they allow gays to just about everything but when it comes to mariage its not ok. if they are allowed to have boyfriends and relationships then shouldnt they be allowed to marry??????
