Too much Weed??

Hi fellow stoners! I have smoked daily for about 8 years, except for when i was pregnant. I smoke 2 to 3 grams a day. I roll with tobacco and i am trying to quit smoking. I don't smoke cigs at all except in my Joints. I don't use alot, maybe 3 a day. My questions are:
1. Would a pipe be better if i'm trying to quit the tobacco?
2. How unhealthy is weed on your lungs? And is a pipe better for your lungs?
3. Do you think you can stop weed cold turkey after smoking so much a day and not have any affects? Not that i want to but i think about it.

First of all, yes, no tabacco in the bowl, means no nicoteen. But then you can just always, not roll with tobacco.

Im not sure exactly, not sure if any real tests have been on how bad it is for your lungs. Sure you could find some studies though.

Yes, the great green is not physically dependant. More of a mental, you'll want it because you like to get high, not beacause you are dependant on THC.

Well first off why do you roll the tobacco in with your joints? Couldn't you just not roll the tobacco in? A pipe wouldn't hurt, smoking out of a different device may help you. And weed alone is better then tobacco but your still putting smoke in your lungs.

if you wanna keep your lungs clean, you should vaporize :vap_rasta:

You cant just eat it, there are a few steps to be taken befor you eating it will get you any kind of real affect.

2) water pipes cool the smoke that burns your lungs. small pipes such as spoons or chillums are probably actually worse than joints since they are so short and offer virtually no opportunity for the smoke to cool before entering your lungs. so in my opinion, it varies with the pipe

1. A pipe or a water pipe would be better, yes. This is because with pipes, there is no need for tobacco, therefore this would help replacing the tobaccy with pure weed.

2. Weed is healthier for your lungs then tobacco. Weed contains more tar then tobacco, however, tobacco kills thousands of people a year and cannabis does not. A water pipe is better for your lungs due to the water which filters out carcinogens in the smoke. The most effective way and healthiest way to consume cannabis is to either vaporize or eat it.

3. Yes, you can stop weed cold turkey after all those years. With no effects? I don't know about that. There would probably be some minor effects to deal with but nothing major. It's all psychological, take your mind off it if you want to quit, fill your time with other activities. It's all willpower.

1). Depends what kind of pipe.
2). Weed is way better for the lungs.
3). Your gonna be feining for a toke for whats gonna seem like a long time. I don't suggest cold turkey. It would be better to just ween yourself off it a little at a time or even just get it down to just doing it once of twice a week or month or whatever.

I read somewhere that smoking 1 joint with tobacco is as harmful as smoking a pack of cigs and that smoking weed itself isn't harmful at all... Dunno... Using a vaporizer is deffinetly the healthy way. It'll be hard to give up after 8 yrs, wouldn't be possible for me for sure...

you could also look into a bubbler. basically a pipe, but that little water filtration will get some nasties out of that smoke.

Vaporiser minus the tobacco is your answer to cleaner lungs and longer life .

cleaner lungs is true, but longer life is not true in more than 1 way

1. no correlation between smoking marijuana and a shorter lifespan - published in The Lancet, a British medical journal

2. there are millions of ways to die and marijuana is only 1 of them, so a vaporizer isnt really the answer to a longer life
