Need expert advice (warning, quite long!)

Hello, all. New to the forum but very impressed by the advice and professional atmosphere around here.

I have a several-tiered question regarding an impending test someone very important to me is about to have. Sorry in advance for being long-winded, but want to make sure I convey everything and get the right answer(s) for what I am asking, as this test is HUGE for both of our lives!

Some background....

We have been multi-time-a-day smokers for many years now (no other narcotics than THC though). She is getting a new job and will be getting tested at the start of next week. I am expecting it to be a standard urinalysis, but again, this test is so critical for her, and for us.

We purchased a 15-day cleansing kit from a popular website (not sure if I'm allowed to mention names, so I won't) that consisted of 15 cleansing tablets/pills a day spread over 5 hours, with lots of water/tea/cranberry drinking. It also had an 'elixir' that was used through the final 8 days (5 hrs of pills and fluids, 3hrs of just fluids no food, then .5oz of the elixir and no food drink for 3 more hours). It also came with a large tablet she is supposed to eat 45 mins before the actual test, as well as one home test kit, and we decided to also purchase the large test-day syrup just in case (that we've used successfully before - though a different brand, which to my knowledge, acts like a sponge and filters/holds back the THC for about a 5 hour window, but doesn't actually cleanse you). We went with the kit this time because we knew we had more time than usual, and so I wanted her to be confident and CLEAN, not nervous and using a temporary fixer that makes your urine neon yellow.

Anyhow.... She just completed the 15 day kit on Wednesday though it is important to note that it has now been THREE FULL WEEKS since she used/smoked. I quit with her, though I did smoke once or twice throughout this period, including just the other night (it was not smoked around her, however). We have not used the home test yet though, we are going to do it today.

Ok, to my questions....

1) The website folks and instructions said that she has to sleep on clean sheets every night of the cleanse, and the reason for this is that her sweat can carry a minimal amount of THC that when she purges her system and her system is craving the toxins it is used to, she can cross-contimate herself through those amounts in her fluids. VERY IMPORTANT--> They also said that I could cross-contaminate her because I am dirty, and recommended we sleep in different beds throughout. Now, I stopped using pretty much, as I said, though I did smoke last night and so I am dirty and we have been sleeping in the same bed.

It was per my understanding that even with actual second-hand smoke around you it is VERY difficult to get a positive result from that kind of cross-contamination if you aren't using... much less from me sleeping next to her! But this is the reason we bought the test-day syrup (just in case). Has anyone EVER heard of this before? Is there any validity to it?

This leads to my next question...

2) Once she is clean, she is clean til she uses again, correct? Meaning, if she tests negative today, then we go get another home test from GNC and test her tomorrow on her first urine of the day and she's negative again. And then on the morning of the test we test her again and she is clean/negative again is there ANY chance that she could then get a dirty/positive result at the test (even taking into consideration the cross-contamination concept mentioned above)? I ask that because if there is NO CHANCE, then I do NOT want her using that syrup we bought, though if there is, then I figure we should do the 'better safe than sorry'-approach and do the syrup as well.

The reason I don't want her to use the syrup is my last question...

3) We have used the test day syrup/sponge method in the past and it has worked. However, it makes your urine EXTREMELY yellow, to the point of it looking VERY artificial! I know you can say you take vitamins or whatever, but it made her very nervous last time, and I am concerned that it could raise a red flag. Also... and this is one of my BIGGEST CONCERNS--> I just feel like these syrups (Vales is the one I've used, this one is a different brand, though likely the same thing) make getting around a THC urine test way too easy. My instinct tells me that the drug test companies must know this, and may have likely thought of a way to beat it, ie: testing for the chemicals/vitamins that are IN the syrup to see if you're using it, particularly if you give them a sample that is glowing yellow.

To anyone's knowledge, is there ANY WAY that the drug test can test for or prove that she consumed one of these syrups before going in, and therefore call her sample contaminated (ie: she used a masking agent) which at this place of employment would be a clear fail? Has anyone EVER heard ANYTHING about the possibility that they do or are able to test FOR the syrup? It just seems to me like an easy solution to stopping that way of beating the test. The company we bought it from says no, but I am VERY VERY nervous about that, to the point of NOT wanting her to use the syrup on test day (even though we bought it and have it), especially if she tests clean 2 or 3 times, and the morning of.

So, summarized...

1) Is there ANY credence to the idea that her sleeping next to me the night of can cause her to be dirty the next day?

2) Is there any way that she can test negative Saturday, Sunday morning first urine, and then the morning OF the test, but then a little toxin comes out somehow and she fails it when she goes to the lab later that day? Or once she's clean, she's clean (even taking into account my question above)?

3) Is there ANY WAY the lab can test for or prove she used one of these syrups on the test day? Because if there is even a SHRED of a chance of that, then I DO NOT want her using it, as it'd destroy her to think she went through all of this to get clean, then blew it using the syrup (she didn't even need!) and thus getting a contaminated result. But again, should I be safe rather than sorry and just have her use it? My mind is wrapping itself in circles! LOL



Once again I am sorry for such a ridiculously long post, and for kind of saying the same thing over and over. But this is a test with life-long ramifications, she will not have used in 3+ weeks come the test, and went through all that this kit demanded of her, and I want to make absolutely sure we do what is best for her!

The tests they give for drug testing employees only reads up to within one month of uses, and their have been many cases in which these were beaten using much more simpler measures than yours, so I would have to say she is clean.

I just passed a preemployment screen by subbing. Whatever you choose to do - look at the stickies on the top of the forum, those are your most valuable resource. FWIW - if I can sub successfully, then anyone can.

You can always follow the dilution guidelines as specified on top of this forum and to be honest, I have yet to read anything that supports the mindset that GNC purchased products (or any detox-drinks, pills, etc) work. The only guaranteed method of passing a preemployment screen (if the temperature is correct) by "cheating" is Quick Fix synthetic urine or by using someone else's clean urine.

Since you seem to be more interested in the dilution method, follow the sticky thread on top of this supportive forum. That thread alone produces more "success posts" when the individual is trying to piss clean instead of subbing.

I agree have never read any proof that the detox kits work.
I would sub with quiickfix if its really important she gets this job.Its the only way to be sure.
If not subbing always try the home test strips to see how your doing.When you take the employment test always make sure you take the middle of the piss stream.

Well, bad news, she failed the at home test kit this morning (we went with the first urine of the day and the START of the stream, so I could truly see if she was 110% clean.... she is not. :( )

Needless to say, we're both freaking out a little. She gets REAL nervous in situations like this, and just does NOT have the confidence to use the substitute method. I know that sucks, as that seems to be the only fully fail-proof way, but I know her well enough to know that she would have a VERY difficult time doing that and may mess something up, like the temp. I've read the thread and I know it's not that complicated, but she just does not want to do it, does not have the confidence.

I am going to go to GNC and get a few more test kits, as well as some detox tea and see how she tests over the next two days. It would be more comforting if she at least tested negative in a mid-day/mid-stream urine rather than the ultimate test we went with today.

Having said that all....

We do have this "Duz'z It" 32oz syrup that we bought along with the kit. As I mentioned above, we have both used Vale Detox syrup in the past and both passed with it (we also quit for 2 weeks those times as well, which is important to note, as I don't have any faith that someone can smoke up until the test and use one of them). After reading all of the good info on this forum, I realize that really all the big syrup jugs are are expensive bottled dilution methods. *shrugs* Ahhh well, we already bought it, so we'll go with that.


Does anyone know if there are any differences between the Duz'z It and the Vale Detox? Or are they basically the same thing? We bought this Duz'z It one (and they are expensive!) so I really don't want to go out and get a Vale, but I KNOW Vale works, as I've used it, I don't know anything about the new one I have. The site does claim it is all natural and therefore they can't test for it though, so if they're similar, I'll probably stick with what we have.


Also, I have read some things online today saying that some testing companies CAN test for masking agents. I know you said "no" to that possibility, is that because the big syrup is NOT actually a masking agent, but rather just a bottled dillutioner?

Kind of just thinking out loud and rambling here, but we're nervous as heck! :/ Anyone who might have some more advice for us, or know anything about Vale vs Duz'z It, you'd sure make us feel better.

When she goes to take the real test, it's best to piss in the morning since that is the dirtiest. The beginning and end of the stream is also more dirty than the middle.

It is the dirtiest that is why you DON'T want to give the first void of the day for the real test. When testing yourself yes but not for the test.

Also, getntested, passing doesn't mean you are clean. Passing most tests means you are below 50 ng/ml of THC metabolites on immunoassay. It could be zero but passing means below 50. That is the most common cutoff, the one also used by your test kit.

I mentioned she failed on a first-urine/start-of-stream test the other morning (I wanted to see if she was THAT clean, is why I did that), well the good news is that she passed another test yesterday in mid-day after urinating a few times and just drinking a standard amount of water, no more (her urine was very naturally yellow, no vitamins making it that way).

So that tells me that her toxin level is significantly lower than it was 3 weeks ago (we were multi-times a day smokers for years!), so much so that she's able to get a negative result mid-day without any alterations. And so I am VERY cofident that tomorrow or Wed when she goes, with using the Duz'Z It syrup and the tablet (one goes with 16oz of water, the other is 32oz itself) and following the instructions of urinating 2-3 times in between etc, that with those basically dilluting her down and replinishing what needs to be in the urine that she'll pass. We're gonna go ahead and use the syrup, however, since that early morning test the other day showed me that there clearly is SOME amount of toxin still in her.

keep your fingers crossed for us, but I am MUCH more confident now! :)

The most importants thing to remember is lots of water in the morning before the test pee a couple times and take the middle of the piss stream.

You meant "no" for #3 in regards to them NOT being able to test for the drink, correct? Just wanted to make sure you didn't mean "no, don't use it" which I kind of threw in at the end there... as we're planning on using it later today or tomorrow.
