Question about the future..

I was wondering if there was a possibility that in the future that the discussion of other legal harmless substances such as Salvia would be allowed? Like I said I don't have a problem with the current rules. Don't mind only being able to discuss Cannabis because there is more than enough things to talk about pertaining to Cannabis but I really don't see the problem with talking about other harmless substances. Not cigarettes or alcohol, I despise those things but every now and again (on very rare occasions) I don't mind a little sip.

Talk of salvia isnt allowed??? really? I didnt know that, how come?

Honest to God, I keep forgetting that talk about Salvia isn't allowed because it's legal and from what I've heard safe. But just recently earlier today a thread about salvia got deleted and I posted in it, that's how I know.

When we took away psychotropics peoples arguements were why that and not salvia or alchohol. Management finally put it down that NO MORE on the salvia since this IS suppose to be a cannabis site. Likewise, life styles of the drunk and stupid was getting pretty old in here and considering that MOST of the posts on this issue was from pre-adults.....nuke that too.

From a moderation point of view.....I am VERY happy that we got away from the booze. It's hard enough at times to deal with sober people.....LOL. Likewise, most of us are here about the herb.....not salvia. The threads in experiences were almost being dominated by that crap. Completely out of context of what that forum was suppose to be about.

The kibosh on alcohol and salvia must have been a recent change. Rule 7 was in place when I joined but there used to be threads on salvia experiences and even some talk on prescription meds if you had a valid script. I like the move.

regardless, salvia has a very bad rep as garbage that can cause you harm ... I don't know, and I ain't gonna fool with it ... I just heard on the radio a couple days ago, they're in the process of making it an illegal drug ... that's OK, we're really about the pure herb, not that garbage ... :weedpoke:

people have died for salvia, if you take too much some people have freaked and died of anurisums, yeah they took too much and they new it but still.

the only thing I know for sure about it, is, from the posts made here when it was allowed ... the posts told me " Salvia makes you stupid ! " ... :S2:

Sometimes it really confuses me hard why there are so many perfectly natural plants out there that are actually harmful. I mean I never understood that. Almost seems unfair to me. Why is Marijuana like one of the only few plants that is 100% harmless? I really never heard of Salvia being harmful but I do know that some people do seem a little whacked out when they're on it. And like people with a lighter shade of skin man..one thing I never understood is why they turn sooooo red in the face lol! Meh ignore this post. I don't want to bring up a discussion about it I was just speaking my mind because it was really bugging me.

edit: Also one question, has anyone realized how the drug schedule in the U.S., "schedule I" says in order for a drug to fall under that category it has to

(A) The drug or other substance has a high potential for abuse.
(B) The drug or other substance has no currently accepted medical use in treatment in the United States.
(C) There is a lack of accepted safety for use of the drug or other substance under medical supervision.

So I was wondering does a drug have to not be either of those or just one of those? Because I'm like what the fuck...marijuana is accepted to have some medical use and it does have accepted safety even without medical supervision..what's the deal?
