I love wake and baking. Its great. i love starting my day with getting high.
The thought will come to me, and in reality it's the only time I can control my urges to smoke, is in the morning. Four hours have gone by since I woke, and I still haven't gotten stoned. No doubt I love the morning smokage, hence the indifference that follows when I don't pick up the pipe. It's nothing I'm ashamed of or even really concerned about. I just like to feel that I'm breaking through to the mature side of usage.
I like to be up for an hour or so before I start smoking - stretch all the muscles and get the brain into some sort of condition to be appreciating the high.
personally on summer days off i wake up at 7:00am and listen to my favorite morning talk show over coffee, sometimes newspaper, and a few bowls.
then i take a mid afternoon nap to catch up on what i missed and avoid another sesh if i happen to be jonesin agin
Never tried it, but i plan to!
yeah i never understood/did it until this summer. My roomate n i went out to meet two people for breakfast, so we decided to get blazed...n we ended up getting craaazy ripped from juicy fruit n had a very eventful day by 1pm lol...took a nap, woke up at like..3 and felt refreshed, ready for whatever else the day has to bring:)
When I wake and bake (I literally prepare everything the night before, so I don't have to get out of my bed) I just usually go back to sleep right after...Waste of weed IMO, I'd rather be aware of my high.
the only time i really like to smoke in the mornings is after i get ready for my day (shower, shave, etc.) i hate waking up and taking a rip.
it just doesn't feel right lol
I live for wake and bake.
I wake up, walk down stairs and take a few rips out of the bong, go upstairs and shower, come back down and take a few more, and then head off to worky work.
And in regards to it being a waste to smoke and go to sleep, I disagree. Personally I dont get any better sleep then when I am stoned. The bed is 100x more comfy and I fall asleep like no other.
It just doesnt feel right to me. I like the night and maybe afternoon if I plan on smokng all day. And i agree an the sleep. My favorite sleep is high. Awesome dreasm too.
I honestly think their is nothing immature about smoking at the start of your day. Its relaxing and lets you settle your mind and you can think better about how your going to tackle the day. I think its better then downing a cup of coffee filled with sugar and caffeine to start your day. Much rather slide through my morning with a mellow high then a wired caffeine buzz. But ofcourse this is all just my opinion. I think the immature part of smoking is getting stoned beyond belief basically bing smoking and then binging on food and then smoking some more and doing nothing for hours at a time. Im not saying I dont do this ofcourse i do :D but yah save that for the weekends.Quote:

I HAVE to wake n bake this morning, my gf is dragging me to school with he rall day, my bubbler is gonna have to kick my ass.
well i'm on a wake and bake and i feel great:jointsmile:
Exactly, apparently its perfectly ok to ingest a drug that is quite similar to cocaine, and actually more deadly in equal quantities, but having a bowl of bud flakes in the morning is somehow horrible.Quote:

Oh, and that I have a little less fun out of mundane things.
Its all about moderation though, its not cool to show up to work blitzed out of your gord either.

edit: yeah i just read this post, and it made me think for about 15 minutes about how caffeine is just another high that you could get, but its legal... its for getting energetic.. so why isnt cannabis.. a relaxing type high that lets your mind run freeQuote:

I dont mind... I have Spanish as my first class and for some reason am better at speaking it when Im baked.
wake and bake kills me for the rest of the day but i always feel most peaceful and serine when i do it. i'm a morning person too so that makes it that much better
When I have the weed, I generally avoid being completely straight, as terrible as that sounds.
I like the weird state that I get in when I am not used to being straight.
It is like... yeah, it is just fucking weird :D
Waking and baking is pretty great.
thats like me i love to wake n bake, but i dont everyday beacuse then i wont have as much weed to smoke throughout the day, and the morning is when i have the less urge to smokeQuote:

caffeine is addictive but it is also pretty good for you. it speeds up your metabolism and it also makes your neurons hop over synapses faster than sober. it has been used for so long that we don't know a time when the coffee bean did not go hand in hand with some societies.
and don't say weed is a plant. weed IS a plant. THC is a drug. there's nothing wrong with the word or concept of drugs, and therein lies your problem.
i hate to be devil's advocate, but to act like having a cup of coffee is this dangerous drug taking experience is like saying smoking a bowl will make your hair fall out.

Personally, I have never stated that caffiene was a horrible drug. It has its purposes. It is a fact though that its very similar in its effects, and chemical makeup, to cocaine. It is a fact that in equal amounts, caffiene is by far deadier then cocaine.
It is a fact that even though those two are true, and you can die from caffiene OD's, while Marijuana OD's have never been recorded... one is still legal while the other isnt. It shows the hypocracy behind all of it.
It shows the hypocracy when a caffiene freak will get on their soap box about illegal drugs and how pot heads are bad, and drugs are bad, addiction is bad... and then they go chug down a pot of extra strong coffee to get their fix. I find irony in the fact that they are doing a "lesser" form of coke, daily, and are fully addicted to it. Hell, disregard any ties to cocaine, and its still pathetic. Someone lecturing about the evils of drugs, and addiction, while they fully defend an addiction to caffiene or cigarretes.
wake and bake is the best but sometimes if i got to bed reallly fucking late like 5 or 6 and im cooked before i go, and i wake i, and im still high, i like to call that the bake and wake
you are damn near fascist bud. just like the guys that would arrest you for smokin a j every once in awhile.Quote:

you see 5 people doing 1 thing, and all of a sudden everyone with a cup of coffee in their hand is a fiend just gargling down their fix, looking for more, only stopping their slurps to spew anti-marijuana propaganda at their office, smoke screening their coworkers with ciggarette smoke and spitting their filthy cocaine-like substance over everyones face.
by the way, i dont know a single person that pounds a POT of coffee in 1 session. grow up.
I love to smoke in the morning. I usually wake up around 6 or 6:30, smoke a bowl (or bong or bubbler, or all three ha), and either take the dogs for a walk up the mountains or strap my fishing pole to my bag and take the dogs for a walk to the reservoir or just forget the dogs and go for a bike ride through the mountains. People think Im crazy, but I absolutely love to work out when Im stoned. Dont get me wrong, I love to sit on the couch and have a couch stone, but there is nothing more energizing then getting completely blitzed and doing a few hundred pushups or going on a twenty mile bike ride. Of course, you need to pack a few for the ride because its pretty remote. I guess the fact that I really like to do things when stoned is what makes wake and baking easy for me - the day isnt shot, its just beginning. Sorry for rambling, pretty blitzed right now too ha.....
Peash!
Would you like to meet my boss? Hell, given enough motivation, I can post a video of him doing it. Coffee pot in office, and will finish out a pot in one sitting. As in, finish a cup and pour a new one right after. Yeah, he doesnt drink from the pot, but he damn sure finishes a pot of coffee in under 45 min easy. Thats pounding down a pot of coffee in one session.Quote:

The difference in how I refer to people is in equal proportion to how they treat me and my enjoyments. If a person who "really really really really really enjoys" their caffiene isnt lecturing me about my "faults", then I have no beef with them. When that same person is telling me that I am scum of the planet, and drug heads are horrible people, and I should be in jail, then I have a beef. Then I take the time to point by point show their hypocracy in regards to the entire matter.
BTW, I call people who use incredible amounts of pot, pot heads. If they just smoke pot, they dont get called that. If you use something in an excessive amount, IMO you deserve something to designate that towards other people. There is a fundamental difference between a casual and binge drinker, but if you tell someone that Bob drinks alcohol, you cant provide any way to show them which it is. That can be important when trying to discuss things or bring up the framework for a story. More information = good.
And do we want to attack the person instead of the idea some more? So far, im facist, like The man, and immature. Wanna call me a Nazi or relate me to Hitler, just to finish it all up?
I still havent attacked anyone who used caffiene, I havent said anything negative about them, and I have not stated that what they do is wrong. I stated some facts about caffiene, and pointed out the hypocracy of some who use it, and was somehow told that in doing so I was a hypocrite. Im not on a soap box preaching the need to make caffiene illegal. Hell, I drink about two cokes a day, and drink Bawls all the time for the caffiene and the effects it provides.
So once again, calm the fuck down, and take a breath. Might I recommend some reading comprehension as well, as it seems you had to have been reading someone elses post if to get what you seeminly got out of mine.
Im not on anyones side. I dont care either way. Pot being legal or illegal in the end doesnt change what I want to do. Caffeine being legal or illegal in the end doesnt change what I want to do. Hell, all of us here are proof that the legality of things doesnt matter in the end.
Id love to keep discussing this with you, but please, if you are going to respond back, could I ask that you take the time to read what I actually write, and try to keep to the discussion instead of using personal attacks and other assorted falacies?
It is true you can have to much pot but you can alsot have to much caffeine.
Yep yep.Quote:

All I remember was that one of the easiest, and one of the few only feasible ways to OD on caffiene via food/drink was a Double Shot Expresso from Starbucks. Do believe it was something like 12 of those in a 1-2hr period can cause an OD. Outside of that, and one or two other ways, its hard to OD without taking the drug directly.
And while marijuanna may be proven to be impossible to OD on, that doesnt mean you cant "take" too much. Moderation is the key. Too much smoking might not cause you to OD, but you are putting your body at more risk from smoking so much, which is something to be cautious of.
Really, almost any problems in life, would be solved with a bit more moderation. ^-^
*edit* Found the website, here.
Also, I was off by a good bit on the amount required for OD on the starbucks side. Starbucks does provide the most total caffiene out of anything listed on that page, with the Starbucks Grande Coffee sitting at 372mg of caffeine per serving, but the pure caffeine delivery products do provide more caffeine per oz.
Coffee (Espresso) is the most normal drink that has the highest caffeine mg/oz ratio, sitting at 1.5oz for 77mg of caffeine, but the starbucks grande coffee actually takes less servings to kill you, requiring only 37 servings for a person of 200lbs, 28 servings for someone of 150lbs.
Just some random info thought might be interesting. Doesnt pertain much to the discussion.
yeah, because that's not negative or stereotyping.Quote:

they are the same thing, but cocaine is about double... so given the same quantity, cocaine would be more harmful.
also just because you get a headache and antsy from caffeine withdrawal doesn't mean that everyone does. you could argue that pot has an emotional withdrawal, that people get bored and moody and wish they had some greens to smoke. i know i have been guilty of it at times, and im sure im not alone.
the point i am making is that you should not do to 1 drug the same thing some users of that drug are doing to yours. the bigger picture is that humans will always do drugs, and the act of taking 1 drug is no more morally sound than taking another is.
calling u a fascist was a stretch, for that i apoligize. i read your posts and responded to what you said though. whether you want to believe it or not, you DID attack caffeine users in this thread that was NOT about caffeine.
And I guess I'm the reciprocal then. Choking is not something I look forward to right after I wake up. I really ought to consider quitting nicotine if it's interfering with my capacity for marijuana. Nah'a mean?Quote:

Usually I wait at least until 10:00 AM local time to hit my first toke.
Exactly. It's hard for me to fall asleep if I'm not blitzed out of my mind. If I'm out of weed I turn into an insomniac. So waste of weed? Nope.Quote:

I wont argue that you can have a mental addiction to pot. You can have a mental addiction to pretty much anything. I am pretty sure though that there are documented effects that happen when a person is going through caffiene withdrawals. As you said, YMMV in regards to how strong the effects are, and which you get, but there is physical addiction side effects to caffiene.
If I came off as attacking caffiene, then I apologize, for I didnt convey what I was saying well enough, and thats my fault. I have no beef with caffiene. It could have been nicotine, or alcohol, or any number of other things. The point I was trying to illustrate was how funny it was to watch someone who was addicted to a drug, get on their high horse about how horrible others are for doing things such as pot. The fact that they dont even see the irony, or realize that they are doing drugs themselves, is what I wanted to show. I guess I may have gotten lost in the details and hence lost sight of where I was trying to go by the end of the post.
What a person does in their own personal life, and in their life in general, doesnt concern me. Unless they are adversely effecting my life in some way, I really dont care most times. If a person feels better by having a cup of coffee, or doing a line, or smoking some weed, more power to them. Im glad that it makes them feel better. If a person who does such things attacks others while pretending that they are better then those who they attack though... that bothers me. Its the pot calling the kettle black in my book. Thats all I was trying to get at. Sorry it didnt come out that way as planned.
i feel more productive when i smoke
it kills me when i have no work all day long
wakenbake hehe
