Urine has to be yellow??

I have never had to take a drug test but now I am looking hard for more work. I'm curious, my urine is ALMOST ALWAYS clear if I drink my normal amount of water it takes to keep me from getting thirsty. It's only yellow if I do something odd like mow the backyard without drinking or something. Is this a problem? Do I need to thirst to death all morning before a test? How can they discriminate against someone like me who just normally chugs LOTS of water every day? Anyone else have this problem, solutions?

Don't even worry about it.. they'll be able to tell if its pee or not. hah my pee is clear sometimes when im hydrated

Sadly they are not discriminating against water drinkers. If you are drinking over 40 ounces of fluid every 3 hours (in a 3 hour period of time, however you want to look at it)then you may test dilute. Staying under that isn't dying of thirst. They test for dilution by specific gravity and creatinine clearance, not by color.

Ahh, okay. I know it's not testing for water drinkers, I'm having quite a time not smoking, especially when my friend has some of his sample popcorn nugs dried and he is holding them for me while he waits for the main harvest. :( :wannapuff: I was just curious b/c the guy who works for labcorp was talking about taking vitamin B for color if you dilute... :/

i dont think it could hurt, it would just be taking vitamins, youd probably be healthier too :thumbsup:

I've only smoked a few dubbies in the past month last being almost a week ago. got called in yesterday for a random,drank 80 oz water on the way to site [1 hour] anybody think I passed?

piss is supposed to be transparent most of the time..... less toxins i suppose...

Thanks everyone for the info! I'm a big fat fatty so I guess I better not toke any until after I get a job.. :( Somehow I can't wrap my mind around substitution, I would feel so nervous and drop my bottle or something.. :/

Dont be, man. Im not saying to go out and smoke before your drug test if you dont feel comfortable, but like many things in life dont let the fear get to you. I used the sub. method on my second drug test and it was soooo easy. The lab I used it at gave me a private bathroom with a door and a lock and FOUR minutes to pee. I could take a shit in half that time. Companies who hire a lot of new employees contract with local clinics for conveniance, and these clinics have drug testing operations just for that purpose, and they follow certain guide lines. So I would say its safe to say 90%+ of pre employment drug tests will be the same. Sub. method worked like a charm for me, so I was able to smoke whenever I wanted to. Just trying to help you feel comfy subbing it.

Vitamin b12 and I think b2 will keep your piss yellow. There's tons of b12 in red bull...

Well, it's been well over a week since I smoked and I didn't smoke much then, they haven't called me. :) I just hate not toking for such a long time... Oh, and I didn't make it clear, the concert was in North TX which is why I told you, Sly, I just forgot to explain myself. :oops: I'm guessing the TX means you're in TX right?

Red Bull, Vitamin B, and Multi-Vitamins will help your pee stay yellow.

If your drinking enough your piss should have a faint yellow tint, or be clear. Mines almost always clear apart from in the mornings coz i havnt drank all night.

Just so you know, when your pee is yellow it means you're dehydrated (in case you didn't know already)

A little yellow is fine, but the yellower the more dehydrated you are. Once I learned that I started using that as a guideline to drink water, even if I don't feel thirsty Lol.

I also live in tropical places (FL and PR (Puerto Rico)) so I'm constantly being dehydrated...being in Puerto Rico for summer has turned me into a water chugging fiend.

I remember pissing out BRIGHT electric orange dye in hospital once after a brain scan thing. Seriously, i wasnt even told i'd piss out the dye so i went for a piss like usual and it was orange!!!! I thought "what the fucks going on here" It was this colour orange, but twise as bright.

Sorry for the late reply, but yes I am from texas. Was born here and living here just about since, gotta love it, except the beaches aernt that great :(. Im gonna have to hit up a NORML event sometime, didnt know they had them though.
