Medtox testing

Hi, I took a medtox lab drug test the other day. It's an unregulated 10 panel drug test that was taken at a DR. office and sent to medtox for testing. The day I took it I hadn't smoked in 40 days, and 40 days ago when I did smoke it was only 4 times over three consecutive days. It was BC's through a small chillum (packs about 3 hits). Before that it had been about 25 days since I had smoked, at which point I smoked about an eighth of BC's every three weeks. So, in summary It had been 65 days since I had regularly smoked weed, and 40 days without any whatsoever. I took the test about 8:30 am. I had peed three times that morning before I tested and drank about 40oz of water that morning. I passed an at home drug test the day before and the line appeared quickly and with a very clear line. When I went to the test I was expecting a dip test right there, but it was a split pack test sent to a lab, so that scared me quite a bit and ruined my afternoon (couldn't celebrate). I can't find out much about medtox's cut off levels. I do know that a non-regulated test could possibly have stricter cutoff levels. I read something about their "sure screen" process that lowered the initial testing levels to 40ng/mL instead of 50. I didn't think I was going to get the job, but 40 days ago they called and gave it to me. I'm thankful it took 40 days to be tested, but still unsure. It's for a job in the mental health field. Any suggestions, reassurance, experience with medtox?

I took the test Tuesday morning. I've been looking for calls from a MRO, but none seen. I wonder if three days is long enough for it to have been tested seen results. It was sent DHL, pretty sure it was sent to the medtox lab in North Carolina (I'm in SE Tennessee). BTW, I weigh about 210, 6'2", in my 20s sort of active when I can be.

I've never seen a 40 ng/ml cutoff. The most common is 50 and then there is 20 and 100. There is a chance you may be subject to the 20 ng/ml being i nthe mental health field. Try to look back on your chain of custody form and see if you see something like SAP 10/50 w/nit or similar numbers and post them. If it was the 50 ng/ml cutoff and you passed a home test with the first void of the day you stand an excellent chance of passing. With your stats I also like your chances.

well, I looked at the form. It doesn't have much at all about the actual test. At the very top it says "Non-regulated 5 part drug testing custody and control form". It also has a row where it says "F. Tests Ordered:" and there are check boxes with id numbers and bar codes for each, 5 Panel, 8 Panel, 10 Panel, and 12 Panel. They checked next to 10 panel and the id # is 88180. It's also a split specimen.

The at home test from the day before wasn't from my first void of the day. It was probably my second or third. The test was taken on my third or fourth void of the day, but it was still quite early in the morning.

I have looked everywhere for more info on Medtox, and I can't seem to find anything.

oh yeah, another thing I had wandered. Do you think my sample will be considered dilute? I drank two tall glasses of water. Then when I got there I had diarhhea so I peed. Then when I went in to donate a specimen I couldn't go so I drank like 8 little cups of water and sat down for 15 minutes in the lobby. When I finally went it was pale to light yellow.

If you fail for THC, does the MRO have to call you before calling your employer?

A couple years ago when my husband failed a test the lab called to ask if he was on any medications that might cause him to test positive. I'm almost positive it was the lab and they called within a day or two of the test.

We're waiting on test results too so I feel your pain.

...I was tested on the 10th, so it's been 9 days. I am pretty sure I passed. I haven't heard of test results taking longer than 9 days, 7 business days, have you?

I have the same test with medtox (split sample) except mine's just a five panel. I go in a few hours but I'll be substituting. I've taken 3 at home tests now, failed the first one, but passed the last two over the weekend (one of which was a morning void, but the line was very faint).

I'm only 9 days clean but I'm 6 foot ~130 pounds with a very high metabolism. My test is in a few hours, should I even be substituting?

I think if you can pass an at home test right before you go, then you are good.

If you have a sample to sub with, do it. Your home tests aren't inspiring much confidence in me so why risk it if you have a clean sample. Make your own urine option 2.

My drug test has been pushed back (because I've been so busy at work, they're pretty lenient) but it could be tomorrow or next week, I really don't know.

I purchased two more at home drug tests and took one today just for the hell of it, and I passed. I'll be taking another one first thing in the morning, and if I pass that one, would it be safe to assume that I could pass a lab test? (I'm unsure if its 50ng or 15ng, but I'm betting on 50ng... its just a 5 panel test, split sample test, thats all I know about it from the document)

I've been clean for 11 days now, and I smoked maybe 3 times a week just regular shwag, and further I don't smoke that much of it because alcohol is my drug of choice.

What do you guys think? If I pass my morning void (given my body stats) how do you think I would do on a lab test?

If I can sub I will, but apparently the place I'll be taking my test is a large bathroom with an attendant at the door and just stalls (hospital), so any noise might cause suspicion.

Well I took it today... and it was a successful sub.

It really is quite simple, and had I not practiced and read the guides on this forum I might not have succeeded. Temperature is key, and I had it nailed at 96 degrees.
