Losing Friends

Have you ever purposefully stopped being friends with someone because their anti Marijuana views? I've done it.....

Before I started smoking I had a friend who would always go off on rants about potheads like "How do they get away with it?! It's just not fair!"

He'd get pretty upset and actually angry...even then I would argue with him and say it was non of his business what other people do as hobbies and what not. But when I decided to start smoking I really started to get annoyed by this prick. I tried to talk to him as little as possible. He eventually stopped trying to hang out with me and we went our own ways.

But I couldn't stand this douche...not only was he a prick about ganja...
He treated my other friends like scum.

Aggghhh whatever....It's sad I've actually willingly stopped being someone's friend....but loooking back I don't really regret it.

That is your choice...or my choice I should say..if I/you dont like someone or their views, we dont hang out with them...otherwise, you/we/I will end up doing or saying something that you/we/I could regret.
But I have ditched on people just like that more times than I could possibly count.

This kid was one of my best friends...and he didn't really know why one of his best friends would stop talking to him....even though he sat next to him during a couple classes.

I've ditched and been ditched by plenty of people. People come and people go, it's the way of life.

That's why now I don't get too attached to anyone as a friend. I guess I'm a little more cautious than before on who to trust and such. If I find myself not liking them, I cut off contact so I can forget about them and erase them from my memory. (that's easier said than done) :)

i get really attached to friends, it kills me when we part ways.

im going through it RIGHT now actually, i have a friend-lee- the guy is the only person in the world who gets me, but his laziness is getting to me, he puts no effort into the friendship, never calls me, never comes over on his own, i ALWAYS have to get him over... and hes changing, getting me less and less every day.

so ive decided that i will simply stop doing stuff, i have found that when i dont call him, i never see him, so fuck it.

Gonzo sounds like your friend had some really weird grudge agaisnt smoking. Either that or he wants to be a cop lol. I bet hes smoking now anyways.

If someone I know can not stfu, stop ranting and have a serious conversation with me, then I don't even make an effort to speak to them.

my best friend is like that and she also said that if she caught any of her friends smoking weed she would drop them in a second

i known people like that but they would say stuff if i was around just the make me feel like a druggy, i would of tought the kid a lesson but im 6'0 and he 5'0

I had a really close friend until I started smoking weed and he became "straight edge" now we rarely see eachother. I noticed he was a pretty egotistical shit head after all and it really doesn't bother me.

I'm pretty much the same, iv'e cut out alot of people i thought were freinds, and iv'e known those people for years, I don't feel bad about it, the only reason iv'e told them to fuck off is because they've either used me for $ or for sumpin as little as cannabis. H. A. G. 1
