hey there, Greetings from the Netherlands... if i can help in any way i will try!!
aww you rock thank you so much. ok well to start i was told to put the seeds in a damp papertowel in a plastic bag to start them and then pot them in the soil. is that the best way to do it or should i do something else? and will any kinda potting soil work?
thanks
Colleen
thats perty much it, not much else that i know of personally.
oh and greetings from... japan. Conichiwa :) lol
awesome so im doing it right ok lol so then i heard that till i can tell the plant sex i should add more light to the plant like a 14/10 ratio is that right?
Germination Technique
Materials:
-Tupperware Container
-Lightly Wetted Cloth, Paper Towel, and Napkin.
-Mild Heat Source
-Pre-Soaked Cannabis Seeds
Procedure:
Remove the Cannabis Seeds from their Glass of Water.
Place the seeds onto the Lightly Wetted Paper Towel (or whatever you decided to use. by the way...use common sense, don't try to germinate on wet cardboard.)
Place the paper towel into the Tupperware container then seal the container.
Place the Tupperware container on top of a heat source... I personally use my router, or use the top of the fridge or something else practical.
Finally, open the container once in a while and look for moderate condensation, this will relay that there is an adequate level of humidity...if everything is running smooth, you should notice "changes" within a few days to a few weeks.
When you notice the protruding taproot, it's time for soil. GOOD LUCK!
everything you need is right here...

redup on the basics, we'll help with specific Qs
sweet thank you thank really helps and if you dont mind i have a few more questions first how do i tell the difference between male and female plants
Well i know most of the basics on growing its just the people i got my advice from have never done it before just have suggestions so i know the process its just the specifics i am having problems with i screwed up the first time trying to grow it and this time i want to be as percise as i can
It's all here... every week there's a half dozen posts "male or female?" all over these forums...
You won't need to know until the plant is sexually mature and you switch to 12/12
READ THE FAQS!!!
I hope your just taking the piss and not being that stupid... right??!!
lol well i know the basic difference and im not that stupid i promise i was more asking on the lines of seeing the difference in a picture so i know exactally what to look for but i think i found it with that site you gave me or the one the other guy gave me.
Germ technique and sexing are basics. You just have to read, read, read. :beatdeadhorse:
We will do a limited amount of hand-holding... but there's a lot of hands to hold... and not many hours in the day.
thats what i thought i just dont want to screw it up this time thats why im double checking everything and sorry if i irritated you all with my dumb questions
I think Stinky's point is that you wish information that is of no use to you right now....male or female....while skipping information on how to grow your plants. It's like me getting a new puppy and asking about how to put it to sleep.....you are far, FAR away from worrying about the sex of your plant. It helps to actually get it to grow first.
Stinky also points out that all info you want to know is already right here in these forums....she and others have probably answered your questions nine hundred times when asked by the other nine hundred people. With all the info available (books, internet etc) there is no reason not to know the basics BEFORE you get out your seed and paper towel.
Sorry if I sound mean but it does age you when people ask the same q's over and over.....to me it's like someone holding their prescription bottle in their hand and asking you how to to take the medicine. I usually take the bottle from them and read it back to them. The information is all there... just need to read it and use it.
hey and i am sorry for the stupid questions i wasnt trying to jump myself ahead i got to a point last time and i screwed it up so when i am asking questions about later months of life its because thats when i failed and i dont want to do that agian i am sorry and i will read up on it instead of asking you all questions i thought i knew enough and would be able to know a lil more from you i didnt realize it was a huge deal to ask questions next time i know not to thanks
colleen
lol sorry it has been a rather bad week for nOOb questions and you are probably taking more grief becasue of another couple posters who were being real pests... :D
no worries, there's space for questions too. keep thos seeds in a dark place about 80 degrees and in a few days you will have all KINDS of Qs when they pop.
i knew I sounded too mean when I wrote that so I apologize also BUT will say it does get pretty old to be asked the same stuff that is written down over and over. Sorry to crab on you for it.... :(
lol... does this ring a bell?
o.O
young plants when their growing from seedlings need a nice mix of darkness and light but they seem to grow more in the darkness then they do in the light, ive heard 18-6 and 20-4 but me i was using another type of light and i left it on 24 hours with good air flow and controled temps then i swithed to 12-12 when they looked like this, but if i was you id listen to stinky she has alot of advice
but be very careful of your heat, in my grow room(aka my bedroom) it got overly hot in there and killed my plants(ac wasnt working the way it should and also the heat wave wasnt helping any)
ok awesome thank you all for your help i will try off what you have told me you guys rock thanks
colleen
whenever you need anything i suppose someone will be here
Now THAT is a commitment if I ever heard one... :DQuote:
