If a friendly guy opened a headshop in your town....or city...etc...and the prices were in the given middle and a good selection...You think you'd show up or check it out? Real relaxed environment also, no pushiness or anything...thnks guys

I'd check it out, as long as there was a good selection of seeds.
i only buy my bongs from up-tight ass holes.
haha colonel I hear you
To the other guy above, hey man I will not sell seeds..we're in the states
Reason I ask is ppl today order online alot, just getting customer views if you would buy local
Im in my 50's and man I head to headshops alot you know, but for the younger guys, I do not know
It's a shame America is so over the top. Having seeds in store is a great bit of business [if enough people know about you]Quote:

Without seeds it'd be all about good prices and unique products.
The UK market has been doubling every year for the last 5 or so years, and shows no signs of slowing down, and coz seeds are legal people are making a killing. It's a very good business over here actually - but our laws arnt rediculous.
Personally i'd rather go into a headshop than order online, but i'm not one of the younger ones.
I would enjoy it, but I really don't need supplies that often.Quote:

There's a few places that have pipes, papers and such, but I doubt that their main income is from that. We used to have a number of head shops, many years ago, but the laws and culture have changed. Good luck if you do decide to try it.
I have always bought in store instead of online. I much prefer being able to see a piece and hold it in my hand before i buy it.Plus i love being able to browse for ages before i buy.
^Exactly. And yes, I would. Like someone said, diversify.
Well if its a headshop i would check it out anyway.
Good thing a friendly guy already has opened up a headshop near me :)
Yeah, a friend of my sister opened a head shop room in his card and comic store in our town. I showed up and bought a pipe. In no time it got robbed and he had to close it.
Why the hell wouldn't I?
I choose headshops over online any day, except I go to New York City to their headshops, and the guys are pushy, and I guess they work on commission because they want you to buya bunch of stuff, rather than just be chill and let me decide.
Another thing is they set their default prices too high...my friend got a 99 dollar bubbler for 60...they cut off basically 40% of the price for no reason...I guess that's just a business tactic though..don't ask don't tell. People will be willing to pay those high end prices anway.
Damn sorry to hear that man...lets just say...If someone TRIES to rob this old man...lets just say I have somethen under the counter to correct himQuote:

Most definately- I really love going into head shops and seeing an old guy or woman at the counter, sometimes the younger people can be kind of eh, but I've never had any problems at all with older tokers :)
I need to find a shop with a good collection of bumper stickers, posters, and tie dye stuff.
Best of luck!
You're not around the Baltimore/DC area, are you?
Hey thanks, nope Im in the midwest...too bad you arent closer :thumbsup:Quote:

but yeah, i would totally check it out. i love the local headshop here in my college town - it's called local color. they have a pretty decent selection, and i like being able to hold and look at a piece before i purchase it, so i give headshops a thumbs up and i rarely shop online. but yeah, have a big selection - at the local one here, he has incense, all kinds of pieces / bongs - just anything, cds, posters, high times, original band posters from the 60s / 70s, sunglasses, hemp wallets / purses / backpacks, tons of ashtrays, hookahs, books, blankets, wall hangings, clothes, jars, lighters, detox, scales...the list goes on and on and on...just fucking everything! i love it. everytime i go in there, i spend at least 45 mins in there, usually much longer though. i go at least once a week to buy my nag champa incense :)
I'd try to get a job there.
of course i would. but seeing as there is no shortage of closed-minded bigots in my town, i'd be obligated to show this friendly guy my support else he would be driven out of the neighborhood by gun point
I'd love to. I drive a good hour to go to my headshop (I love it though!), there's usually older people working behind the counters and I really enjoy that more then younger kids. I sometimes feel intimidated by younger workers. I really hope your store works out, my dream (rather, my future) is to open up a headshop with a few of my friends..I'm gonna make custom pieces (gonna learn to blow glass) and ish. <3
hmmm first off im pretty baked, but lets continue.
i'm in the young age range, theres a shop in my local town (huddersfield) called above n beyond, aka, "the bong shop" which as you guessed, sells seeds, bongs, paraphenalia, hydroponics etc. the owners there are quite old, i imagine about 40ish and its all sound there. i go in quite regularly and a lot of mates do. normaly when i go in theres normally one or 2 other people. but theres also a clothing thing upstairs which sells goth clothes n other stuff like band hoodies, and downstairs theres a tatoo parlour. but theres nearly always people in the shop.
wow that was quite a ramble. hope you get the drift.
I'm a regular at like 4 headshops
I wish we could buy seeds at shops here...would make things a lot easier.Quote:
