well lets start with the fact that he's calling people tards for doing it.....(which means if he's done it then he's no better than all of us and he too, is a tard.) and the fact he says stick to green....kind of leaves the impression that he's just making a judgement on the fact that it is in cough medicine it's automaticly stupid.
Yeah DXM is badass... although last time the whole feeling like throwing up for an hour sucked ass... also guys I have a question... I smoke a lot of pot... and I do DXM... but I have never done both... is it that big of a difference if you smoke a J before you do it or whatever... and if I got stoned first and then drank it it would go down no problem right??
i would suggest smoking like an hour or two into the trip, it makes it totally more intense, you become alot more dissacociated(it feels like your sitting next to your body, your not part of it), you also get like million thoughts racing through your head a second, its crazy. To be honest the first time i smoked while tripping i had a panic attack cause it was that intense, but i do it more often now and i know what to expect but it still knocks my socks off. Its safe to mix the two, so i would recomend it, the worse thatll happen is a bad trip. I dont really like smoking before doing dxm, it makes it harder to realize when your tripping(if that makes any sense).Quote:

yeah it tastes a little less nasty to smoke before, it also makes you less nauses and it will take your mind off what you just did(chugging a bottle of tussin). and generaly weed prolongs the trip. but i have a trick that i use sometimes i take a teaspoon of hot sause and swallow it, it kills your taste buds, wait like 5min. then down the tussin you cant taste shit.

Also Jugg I know that you can get the gel capsules and they have the same amount of DxM as the syrup... so why doesn't everyone just take the capsules?? I think im going to have to next time to get it down... Have you ever taken em?? ANd odes it feel like it the trip wasn't as intense if you did?
well alot of them can be dangerous...the right ones can be very hard to find depending on what area you live in .....just like there are cough drops (succrets i think) that have dxm in them that people trip off of...but they aren't aroudn here at all. and it has to be certain brands AND types of both to actually trip off of. another thing......how come dxm has become so popular on this site? when i frist came (oct) i never saw anyone talking about it...but now everyone does.

DXM is insane. I've only tried it twice. One time with LSD as well.
To give you an idea of what the LSD/700mg dex trip was like...
I was sitting in a room listening to some music with a couple of friends. I closed my eyes to venture off into a type of 'lucid dream.' I was in the exact same position as I was before I closed my eyes. Same music. Same people. Same room. Same smell. Same feel... It was kind of cool. Then I opened my eyes and returned back to 'reality.' When I opened my eyes, everything was normal...except I was looking down on everything...including my own body. Then as I watched a friend nudge me, I REALLY opened my eyes and I returned to my body and actual reality. It was intense. I don't do DXM or LSD after that trip. Complete loss of reality in a way that I have never experienced nor do I want to ever experience again. A couple of weeks after that trip...I still doubted if I was really awake whenever I woke up from a dream. X_X
sounds fuckin wierd but one thing i know im never doing any other drugs then weed since weed is a soft drug... the trip of being paranoid can give u a panic attack too... ive experienced that and thought it was pretty cool
:othe gel caps will make you just as sick as the liquid it just takes longer for it to hit you, its not the nasty taste of tussin that makes you sick its the inactive ingredients that makes you wanna puke, and basically the same inactives are in the caps. i took the robtussin gel pills before, it works just as well at getting you high but with the same nausae afterwards. i suppose everyone doesnt trip on it cause a liquid 8 ouncer has more dxm in it than the gels for about the same price. but if its the taste of tussin that really gets at you id say the gels are a good alternative.Quote:

I am not fond of DXM for the health reason. I personally believe it can cause Olney's Lesion if used very heavily, and I tend to never want to try anything that can lead to Olney's Lesion, if I know this of course. I don't doubt it is a cool experience, but to me a hole in the brain, or even just consuming a substance that can lead to this under heavy use is not cool in my book. If I enjoy the experience I might be tempted to do it again. If u disagree with my thinking then u should start doing heroin.

Here's the problem I have. Most of the people here are drug users who are mildly informed about the drug we enjoy. However, there are a few people here (myself included) who hope to educate people as well as enjoy ourselves.
But, although most of you correctly understand the drugs you talk about, many do not. In fact, some of you just choose any random forum to say "I'm soooo fukin hihg tright now", and leave it at that.
Here's my point. You talk about DXM like some fanciful drug, and young, impressionable kids read about it. it sounds good. they want to try it. but they can't go online and find the right dxm pills. In fact, most of these kids go into a drug store to get the cough syrup, and get WAY too freaked out to read the bottle, and check for active ingredients. They'll grab a bottle of "tussin" because it's all they could really remember, or some "triple c's"...
End result? LOTS of new DXM users who know nothing about the drug's benefits and consequences, using the wrong drug incorrectly, and subsequently ending up in the hospital, or worse- the ground.
I know I must seem overly dramatic, but my point is clear: if you choose to inform rather than discuss, PLEASE BE INFORMED FIRST. I wouldn't want to be reaponsible for some freshman kid's death, just because I wanted to sound smart.
My opinion on DXM is simple- I treat is as any other powerful psychoactive substance: with RESPECT. Know about your drugs before you try your drugs.
mello, i agree, i try to give them the most knowledge i know but they shouldnt rely only on this messag board for info, they should read more on erowid or other informative sites. i know alot about dxm cause i probly read every single piece of info on the net about it, i dont expect people to go overboard like me, but at least know the precautions and what not.

Anyway. I took a bottle and a half of max strength -DXM only active ingrediant- tussin. My friend took just 1 bottle. We both walked around drunkenly for a while, then fell asleep and woke up a couple hours later saying "Dear god that was the most relaxing sleep ever."
I was high the entire time ((including when I woke up)) on weed I might mention. He was too. Though, he wasn't when he woke up. We both got killer fucking stomach aches before we fell asleep and we were listening to techno blaringly loud throughout the house.
So.. what did I do wrong? I'm fat, so was a bottle and a half not enough? I weigh 250lb, and am 6 feet tall. The other guy I did it with isn't that big at all. Maybe 150 same height. Niether of us hallucinated or had an CEV's.
I would like to enjoy a hallucinogen.. preferably shrooms or acid, but for the time being DXM is all I can get my hands on. Well, that and salvia.

encatuse- how big was the bottle, if it was a 8ounce then id say it should've be enough for you, but 1 and a half 4ounces (or 6 ounces isnt that much). sometimes the cev's work and others it doesnt the best way it works for me isnt closing my eyes but shutting the lights off in the room and just sitting there with my eyes open once you already started tripping. also dont expect visuals like your on acid its more of the darkness morphing, and undefiable orbs and geometric shapes floating around, you rarely get definable objects like faces, but they do happen once in a while. Also the main features of dxm isnt the halucinations but rather the dream like state you can get into with creative/crazy thoughts, and disaccociation from your body.
again i dont know if tripple c's differ in this department and dex by it's self but.....don't go to sleep! when i would be on tripple c's (not that i could fall asleep if i tried) the high took hours to reach it's peak. if dex is the same then you don't reach the peak in just an hour or so....rather like 4 hours....(again i'm judging alone by CCC's, since i've never successfully tripped on dex)
the ingredient in coricidin that makes you trip is dxm, the other active ingredient in coricidin is 4mg cpm, cpm causes an additional body buzz. dxm and cpm are metabolised by the same liver enzyme, the buzz is your liver enzyme fighting to metabolize each one and its being over-worked which results in liver damage (probly just as much as a hard night of drinking, but still bad for you), also some people have allergies to or are otherwise sensitive to cpm which makes coricidin a very risky product to take to trip on. I use to trip on coricidin, but then i started to have scratching pains in my side (liver damage?) after discontinueing coricidin use the pains went away, now i only trip on robitussin.Quote:
