That was funny. It really looks like the dog is playing, but it could also be just trying to get the controls of its paws.

Could be fake, could not. It doesn't really matter, it's just damn funny:D. But it's definately within a dogs capability to learn, my border collie does something very similar with her paws because we taught her how to "shake a paw".
