clueless about adderall - but i think i love it.

ive tried adderall before but that was years ago. i was younger and took two blue (or white) tablets in school that my friend (who is prescribed) brought in for me. it was my first experience with any type of pill and it was on an empty stomach. i took them before lunch.. 30 minutes later they kicked in full.. my legs got tingly.. actually, my whole body got tingly.. my face.. it felt a bit numb, too. none of this was especially uncomfortable, but you better believe i was freaking out right about now.

then i was in art class (the class i have directly after lunch) and shit really went weird on me. i started to get these overwhelming feelings of love.. euphoria.. mostly love though. i thought i loved everyone.. i said that.. to everyone.. gave them hugs.. started to cry.. hugged my art teacher and asked her if she loved me.. really weird shit. needless to say, i was sent to the nurse for a drug test lmao. thank god i was able to pull off a sob story about my home life and i wiggled out of the drug test.

anyway - although that experience was weird.. i think that i just need a smaller dose. i tried three or four more times after that and nothing happened - i dont know what i was doing wrong.

anyway, last night my boyfriend gave me one 30mg capsule.. i took it and maybe an hour later he asked me if i could feel anything.. we had just got done smoking like two bowls so i figured everything i was feeling was from the pot.. but after a half hour or whatever.. the normal time it takes for my high to leave.. even after that i was feeling great. the entire night i felt really emotional (positive emotions, though) i felt full of love, very happy.. i could concentrate really well (i can barely sit through an entire movie straight.. or even high.. but last night i watched the last 40 minutes of this movie like three times and loved it lol).. and another thing i really liked about it.. i got the buzz from the weed i smoked.. but i didnt get the tired feeling when i started to come down - which is i think one of my least favorite things about pot (up with the memory loss, munchies, and expense).

anyway, im terrified of pills. my mom is a certified fucking pillhead waste.. (she likes all types of drugs, but pills are her flavor of choice and pills are what have fucked her up the most throughout my life.. i hate pills.. and i never want another pillhead in my life).. but.. i really liked the adderall. it made my head feel more clear, i liked the energy, and yadda yadda. the only thing that worries me about it is the love thing i start to feel.. im not complaining, it was nice to feel that way and all.. it felt like i had a dead layer of skin over me for such a long time then last night it came off and i felt better, more clean, less numb.. all of that. i experienced things more intensely and i had a greater appreciation.

also remember: i was smoking lots of pot last night as usual.. but you can tell the difference between the highs ya know.. i just wanted to add that because maybe the pot + adderall combination means something.

oh and im also taking 15mg of lexapro a day for anxiety + depression. would that have any side effects with the adderall?

basically after this long splurge im just asking for information on adderall. anything, really. if anyone else has experienced the effects that ive talked about id love to hear your stories - and if anyone else has experienced any different side effects.

what im doing right now is tossing around the idea in my mind of getting some occassionally..they make me feel like i can achieve more.. i feel like such a bum/burn out sometimes and i feel like if i take one before school or work id get twice as much work done and learn twice as much.. ya know? but i dont want to get into anything that im not properly educated on.

there ya go, for those who have read.. any information would be appreciated ;] anything ya know about adderall at all.

ps: when i woke up the next morning (this morning) i had a bad headache and a little bit of a stomach ache... felt like i had been drinking the night before.. was this caused by the adderall?

ok i dont know about adderall but i get ritalin for my adhd and have that regularly with weed..

the uppers mixed with pot makes nice in some ways.
concentration etc, no hunger..

its nice drugs but i wouldnt use em too often recreationally..

i try limit the amounts of mornings/afternoons i wake up and feel like shit to about 2times a week, usually when i drink a lot..

hmm, i don't know if it's a little late to post in this thread but you wanted some info on adderral and i take adderral for add so i think i can tell you what it makes me do.

some days i feel all lovey dovey with everyone, but not to the point where im gonna cry lol. other days i get headaches from bright rooms, like some of my class rooms, or nausea. i have been taking it for like 4 months and i get 15 mg. it's a one a day pill. it does help me concentrate better, but i'm a little more bitchy. i don't like to smoke if i took it in that day kuz it makes my heart pound crazy like a mutherfucker lol. also, i don't know if it's the adderall but my face blushes really bad everyday, when i go to school. at home it's ok sometimes.

i think that's about all i can say about it. if i didn't get it prescribed, i don't think i would take it anyway. if u like it then just do it once in a while. that's good that u don't like pills. i used to pop pills alot and it really does fuck up ur body. anyway, hope this helps. :)

Just buy some MDMA. Still bad as fuck for you, but I doubt it's as bad as those pills.

I took adderall for almost three years, so I guess I'm qualified to answer your questions. It does help with school, as long as you take the normal perscribed doses. It does raise your blood pressure and heart beat, so thats probably why your face was flushed. 20 mgs is a good dose for school, but if you take too much you will forget the things you think you are learning. After a while of using it as it was perscribed i decided i wanted a buzz, and thats when i started to abuse it. BAD IDEA. You can become very tolerant to this if you use too much for too long a time. Personally i recomend the non XR kind, because the XR tends to keep me up all night and it takes longer to kick in. Just before i quit, my average dose would be around 40-60 mgs (sometimes more) several times a day,(not every day.) and by then my tolerance was so high that it felt more like 20 mgs. Now when you first start using adderall (speed) the emotional feelings are almost always good(except for ocassional paranoia), but If you take it for too long like i did, it can take a darker turn. I would get really really really pissed over the slightest little thing, and i kept getting in fights at school. Also when i first started taking it i made many new friends due to the energetic personality change and ego boost , but in the end i ended up losing almost all my friends due to my pissy attitude and many freakouts. However, my dad was on adderall also, and even though he abused it, he managed to enjoy it the whole time he was on it, he never had any freak outs or anything. (he's a pretty mellow guy.) My advice is, If you think you can handle it, go ahead and take it occasionally, but just dont over do it or it'll turn into a nightmare.

doesn't anyone snort drugs anymore...not that im saying you should just be aware that there is more than one way to take it although it is far far worse for you snorting it but i do like it more than takeing it oraly,but is you do snort it(don't)only 5 mg or less

ooh thank you everyone these past few responses have been really informative. since i started this thread ive taken adderall a few more times.. mostly snorted it.. i love it.. and i think that the weed kicks up the buzz. the reason i like it is because of what edgar mentioned - the energy/ego boost helps me make friends and tolerate people a lot easier than i normally can (usually im pretty anti social and lonely.. just because i dont know how to talk or what to say.. very shy).. it helps to bring me out of my shell, in other words.

i am still aware, though.. that.. like any drug (except mary jane :X) its good from time to time but i cant go making it a habit. i have hard enough time supporting my one habit already.

your life and all, but my 2 cents (pennys) are that its not wise to take a drug to help you perform or concentrate better at school or whatever. Or you end up needing it or you cant concenytrate at all. But using recreationally is cool.

Thats cool, but just to let you know, adderall isn't well absorbed when you snort it unless you freebase it first. Its just not made for your nose, its got a bunch of extra fillers and stuff.

i got put on strattera... 60mgs, which isnt a stimulant so it doesnt interfere at all with smoking. I've never heard any 1 say they feel loving feelings while on adderall, or any thing of the sort.. so maybe u took an e
