if they dont make it u can always get more seeds
5-7 days at the most. And that's long. I dropped one of my babies, didn't get phased at all.
Nothing to worry about unless the soil was dry when you transplanted and roots got torn, or planted them too deep.
i think they got a lil torn on one plant because it was sticking and i dug a bit deeper and heard a tear and let off and it pulled out....but i pulled it out with a ball of soil and put it ina hole in the other pot....
and i have thouuuuusands of seeds a whole bag but they are mostly stress im sure....
Don't worry, a lot of roots tore off on my plant too. As long as the main tap root isn't damaged it should be alright. Might take a few days to recover but they should be fine. Mines were. Trust me I fucked up every 3 of my plants transplant and they are beautiful plants now :p.
There was a really good method that someone posted about awhile back that I can't find now. But I've been using it ever since I read about it and thus far have had no problems at all with transplanting. I'm going to keep searching for it and post the link for you.
Here it is. I started transplanting this way earlier this year and I'll never do it another way again. The first plants I transplanted this way are smoked and gone now, so yes, it worked good. (meaning it didn't kill them). Most importantly, I didn't see a bit of stress and they just kept on growing like nothing ever happened.
Edit: (post the link moron)

transplanting has always been so simple for me, and I just use one technique ... first, I give the plant a good watering, and let it sit awhile to drain ... then, spread your fingers across the top of the pot, with the stem between a couple of your fingers ... flip it over, give it a sharp smack on the bottom of the pot, and it pops out in one piece ... simple ... and, don't fertilize for a few days after transplanting, wait till the plant starts to resume growth ... :smokin:
Sounds good to me! :DQuote:

Seriously though, I actually let my plants get overly DRY before transplanting.
I think your medium has a bit to do with it too. You will figure it out for yourself once you get to the point where you are dealing with nearly-potbound plants.
What GanjaKing said. I transplanted a couple plants last night using this method and the plants were out of their old pot and into the new one in a matter of seconds. This is the only method I've used to transplant and my plants never stress after transplant - they just grow bigger faster.Quote:

oo yea i couldnt turn a 3 gallon pot upsidedown and smack it out soo i just put my fingers in the soil around where i thought the roots ended and dug in and pulled the plant up but now the 1 i didnt even transplant is turnin a bit yellow on the round first set of leaves...is it normal..???
oh, you transplanted out of a 3 gal pot? Yes, that would be a bit difficult. I usually do 3 transplants in a grow. Seedlings I start in 6 pack flower pots (which I'm planning on changing because its really hard to do one at a time and not mess up the other seedlings) I put those into 1 quart pots, and from there I go up to my 3 gallon pots which I use until the end of the grow. For me, this works excellent and I haven't had any issues with it.
