After reading a few threads that began to piss me off, I must vent.

I am extremely tired of the degrading of women..EVERYWHERE! I don't understand why men automatically assume they're the stronger sex. A dick between your legs makes you a better person then me? I don't think so. I've met so many boys and men that just deserve to be SHOT for the things they do and say, especially towards women. I've met bitchy girls as well, but Jesus Christ, at least they can admit they're twats. I'm tired of boys walking around like they have an S on their chest, thinking they're invincible.

Lol, I agree. It is a pretty lame thing to do. But then again, maybe you should take a look at our society. It's not necessarily their fault, when they've been forcefully conditioned (without knowing) to see women in such ways. I'm a male, but I don't degrade women.

Men have to degrade women, otherwise we will never fully recover from the heartache you women give us. However, making disparaging comments about the opposite sex has never gotten me anywhere, and making those comments directly towards a woman, well, that is something I just do not do, unless the woman has already called herself a bitch. Woman have to be that way sometimes, otherwise guys wont get the idea that she is not interested. Alright, maybe they can be kinder, but that is a bitch for you. They are simply not kind at all.

There are folks who'e evolved, and those who are not, BFA. If the thread I suspect generated your ire, you have to consider the source of such attitudes. There are a good many losers out there who weren't raised to regard women as equals or respect them. And there are a lot of them who don't actually like women, sad as that is. Yes, men who consider themselves heterosexuals but actually don't like or respect women at all. The world is full of them, and as a young women you need to be on the lookout for them. Has to do with how they were raised and their relationships with women in their families of origin--and often with the prehistoric attitudes modeled for them by their fathers.

When you know that this is a problem that has to do with small-minded losers and not with women themselves, it's fairly easy to write off such stupid, sexist attitudes. They're out there. Always have been. Probably will be for another two or three generations, at least. The sad thing is people with these attitudes actually come in both genders. There are a few sad women out there who believe they're inferior to men, too.

I know it's hard, but letting the pathetic, misogynistic jerks of the world get to you is a victory for them instead of for us. Keep rising above the losers and proving them wrong!

P.S. Don't let all men piss you off. Just the small-minded ones. There are lots of educated, evolved, wonderful guys out there who work with women as professional equals every day and manage to treat their partners, daughters, mothers, sisters, and female friends as equals when they're not working. The smarter a guy is, the more evolved his abilities in this area.

While I'm at this, I'd just like tell my husband how very much I love and adore him. Thank you, Dave, for not being one of the idiots of the world. How wonderful it would have been to have a daughter in addition to a son with you so you could have shown her how male-female interaction ought to be done. Thank you for teaching our son what you taught him.

First, I want to say this is my first post here in the womens issues forum...I do respect all of your space..but I wanted to respond..

I wanted to say that I love and respect women very much and always treat them as a equals..I have taught my daughters well on how to deal with people (men) and to never take shit from anyone and to NEVER let anyone discourage them from doing anything that they want to do.

My husband has a theory, after reading that other post, and maybe he'll come on here and say it in his own incomparable way, that that particular guy on the other thread has actually never been within 20 yards of an actual woman, not to mention a citizen of France.

I treat women very respectfully. Better, actually, than I do men. I open doors, listen to their words, try to be understanding, and most of all be supportive of my wife.

I was taught by both my parents. My mother taught me, among other things, to walk on the curb side when accompanying a girl or woman. How many guys do this anymore? My father taught me to have humility, patience, and faithfulness in a relationship.

Just because I criticize the direction that mass culture is going in America does not mean that I personally act like an idiot - like a large percentage of men and women do.

I was single for many years, and worked on myself before committing to marriage. After the marriage, I continued to progress. My wife and I have no struggles with each other at all.

Many people today haven't the faintest idea of what I'm talking about, which is sad. Just look at the divorce rates, and other signs of the times. That's proof enough for me.

BFA did make a generalization about the entire gender, which isn't fair, it's true. Fortunately there are lots and lots of great men out there. I said that they should be trained properly when they are young (â??They train them in the correct behavior toward the opposite sex, when they're young.â?�) - which means as children.

I'm still waiting for someone to tell me that family relationships and marriages are better today than 50 years ago - it's not true and everybody knows it.

I don't like it when people have a chip on their shoulder - men or women. In my experience in the world of dating, a lot of my girlfriends had them, mostly due to being spoiled and listening to rhetorical, inaccurate bullshit from so-called feminist celebrities, educators and writers, both male and female. I also noticed these tendencies in general, not just with women I dated. This is not to say ALL women are like that.

Somebody named Larry Josephson pointed out, on a very left-leaning radio station in NYC some 30-odd years ago, that many of today's "liberated" women are trying to act like the way they think men USED to act, in an attempt to even things out. He was right then, and it's still true today.

Dont ever give a man the benefit of the doubt as far as how he was raised effecting how he treats a woman. Regardless of whether or not it was years of conditioning towards that twisted ideal that made him that way, the fact remains that he still RETAINS that point of view. And he does so out of ignorance. Fuck all that shit. Any dude that says most guys arent really like that is full of shit. And he's most likely one of those dudes. Even the guys that are all sweettalk to the ladies faces... Ive heard them saying different shit about the same people when its just him and his friends. From a scientific and Taoist point of, it is most certainly female values that rule the world. Men THINK they rule the world, but its just their stupidity and egoes that are destroying the world. Intelligence is a feminine attribute, I just wish some of the women in this country would think more like women and stop acting like power freaks. From a deep ecological stand point it is principles of co-operation, interconnectedness that binds the web of life and has sustained life on the planet for billions of years. It is not dominance or survival of the strongest as the neo-Darwinists wrongly assume.

I feel your frustration bfa- I have had my share of experiences with jerks, and each time it saddens me.

I read some of the crap in sexuallity on how they told their bitch blah, blah.....must be real hard to talk back to a porno on the tube because they sure the hell don't have a real woman. I'd have to agree with Triumph the insult dog, "The last time that they saw female genitallia was during child birth".

The Sexuallity Forum has such potential for exchanges of ideas, gathering usefull information, etc... It's a shame what actually goes on in here. I would just LOVE to come in here and do some hardcore moderating BUT I don't think that would fly to well. LOL....never know what the future hold in store though.

The worst men in the world usually treat their mothers fine. They can also treat their spouse or partner well, also. What they do the rest of the time, to other people, DOES matter.

Your attachment, "Behind Every Bitch Is A Man Who Made Her That Way" sums up a lot of what I see as the problem. Blaming men for a general nastiness in females is par for the course today.

If anybody is to blame, it's usually the parents because they didn't raise their daughter right. The same is true of boys. Proper training of the young used to be considered necessary. Now, the parents are either too busy, or too ignorant, to do it correctly. Because there have been several generations since society started changing for the worse, behaviors and traditions have gone downhill - and it affects everything.

I can explain this simply as a typical man, not perfect at all, and well, just being a man. =)

The dating world is very frustrating at times, and you want to bang a hole in the wall. Just like you are doing now, men do the same thing. People on both sexes sometimes vent these frustrations extremely. I'm guilty of it at times in moments of anger.

Let's take an example. A girl rejects you. In essence the simplicity of the sentence doesn't explain the intricacies. Men can be right & wrong in this situation.

Let's say this girl was honest, told the guy she wasn't interested straight up. If the guy gets mad at this point, well it's his problem.

However, let's say this girl stringed this guy along. Acted interested, kept talking about going out, then out of nowhere, no call, no nothing. At this point, it shows such a lack of respect and courtesy. No doubt it makes me pretty angry, wasting time to plan it and not even get a cancellation call. You claim it's not to hurt feelings, however that's what the hurt feelings stems from, stringing them along because you weren't honest about when the interested stopped.

The way I see it, there are two sides to the story. Either person could be an asshole or bitch, even tho by nature, they're not.

So how many men -ie- boys have you dated? I've dated a few and I still say men that respect their mothers make good mates. That attatchment was for BFA. It is a womans forum here by the way! I'm married to a great guy. Loves his mom. ITS A FREAKIN JOKE! mellow out.

I think that your post made a lot of sense. I'm not sure that I understand what you're saying correctly, but about the only thing that I differ with is the part about women being as strong as any man. They may have as much or better endurance, but the strongest women in the world are not stronger than, or as strong as, the strongest men. Like you mentioned, the testosterone probably the reason.

I've posted this story before, but it applies to this topic.
I remember seeing an incident on a daytime talk show, probably Merv Griffin or Mike Douglas, in the early 70's. The guests included James Caan, who had recently played tough-guy Sonny Corleone in the move The Godfather. Another guest on the show was a female arm-wrestling champion, who was obviously very strong. One of the show's other guests suggested that the woman athlete and James Caan should have an arm-wrestling match right there. Caan didn't want to do it, but the audience was cheering the idea of the match. He relented and they did it. Caan quickly defeated her. At least she was a good sport about it.
