Nobody can advise you really, since only you know your skills, attributes, and interests.
Have you considered blacksmithing for the Dwarves?
get out of it man. When you look back in life would you ever be glad you worked a miserable job making a little more cash than a fun job with a hilarious team of co workers?
I went from filing in a back room for my old job to serving hot chicks and cute kids ice cream, chatting up customers and getting fat tips on summer days. Go for it mang!
^ heard that, thanks
Start your own business doing what you do..
I have an easy job... but i work nights so i lose track of my days lol
Do what you want to do if you like hardware then sell hardware if you like computers then do that. it's no fun when you do something that you don't like.
if you have a passion for something its easier for you to do. and not having to wake up every morning and say " fuck i hate this job" i have worked my ass off to get where i am at now when i wake up i am cool with it and somewhat enjoy coming into work. but now if i can only start my side Porn business then i'll bet set. haa haa
dont just quit ur damn job lol... decide whats best for you now and your future then decide. shit'll work out
What subjects interest you scottbrochill? Do you have any education/training? Do you have an aptitude for something in particular, like computers, bikes, sports, anything?
work in a restaraunt serving or bussing or food running atleast $350-400 paychecks plus cash tips
Sell weed.
What do you like to do? I couldn't do a 9-5 reg job behind a desk or anything. So I do a few diff things that I am good at and enjoy and aren't so life depressing.
I always vote for starting your own biz: take an inventory of yourself- what do you like to do? Are you good at it? Are you great at it? If you took a course, got certified or apprenticed for awhile would that help your proficiency or make you seem more valid? How can you fill a need with your product or service? Would you still enjoy doing this if you have to do it for a living? its easy to get burnt out.
Start there and just brainstorm. Write everything down no matter how ridiculous, every idea can lead to a great bankable one. Don't settle for workin at the hardware store if you have yearning to be free.
Good luck :)
It's easy to say im going to start up a business but it's HARD to do it. Very hard. That's why so many go bust- because they're not properly designed. I could have started my own business, and stayed afloat, just about. But i wouldnt have been happy, always worrying, having to get money. At least working for someone else means i can go home at night and not have to think about work [unless i've got to order parts, and little things]
Starting your own company is bloody bloody hard.
It might not be a good job, but it pays. Get some money together, and start looking for another job. You'll be ok while you look coz you'll have some money behind you, and when you get it, hopfully you'll be earning more money and enjoying your job.
It can't be that bad. What is it? Unruly customers?...They are at every job! Uptight and demanding managers?...They have a job to do too, you know. I know a way you can make any job fun! It's called communication. Speak your mind, just like you did here. I promise you will get better results when you confront a problem in the real time work environment.Quote:

Yeah, i am in school and for nursing, thats what i really want to do, but right now i am just doing this while in college, so i am really just looking for a part time job, i have been at the one i have for four years, and i am just over it, i think i might look into the restraunt business, decent money, and i'm looking to do something where i dont have to work as much, thanks for the advice everyone though, i agree i need to find something that interests me for the time being.
By the way, took long to respond cause i had to go to work.... it was lame

I have a pretty high paying job that requires little effort... but I still hate it. You're never going to be happy at work, man..
if you live in san jose i can get you a chill job at an oil changing place
everybody there used to smoke i dont know about now i havn't worked there for a few months
construction, its hard work, but at the end fo the day, a joint never sounded so good. and also damn good money. alot of people that work construction also smoke pot, and if you find a good crew, on break you will all sit around and spark a joint. also you are alot more productive when your stoned, just lifting shit sucks
besides getting high? ;) Are you a grower? Perhaps work at a nursery, hydro store? Are you a physical or mental type person? Indoors or outdoors? What are your hobbies? Is there a cause you feel passionate about? Do you like cars? Computers? Animals? Carpentry? Cooking? Make an inventory of what you are interested in! Now, what jobs are associated with those interests? Most things we enjoy have a mess of jobs connected with it.
When you do work you like (or better yet, love), it isn't hard to go to work each morning. Until last week, I have been going to work at 8 am and leaving there at 5:45. Special Education is demanding work and co-workers half my age (I'm 59) wonder when I'll "burn out" - but I never do- because I love the work! (Having a toke or two after work doesn't hurt, either- lol)- Granny:hippy:
