oo yea i didnt mean to top them now i know you have to wait but people told me to top about 3 weeks...or 4 weeks...
don t top them till there about a foot high , or depending on the strain u won t hav 2 , when they get bigger ill talk u threw it peice of piss
There is an FAQ here with the information you need.
http://boards.cannabis.com/grow-faqs...s-bending.html
happy growing
that helps and what types of m/j shouldnt be topped..???
I've been a fan of topping for lots and lots of years.but usually just once at about the 12 to 18 inch size.these are just my own findings that i do yield more(up to 20%) but I don't add too many budding sites that weight on the branhes becomes an issue that I don't already address with staking up.
ooo i thought that if i left my plants and just let them grow no topping or nuthing it would be best for a beginner but ill try to find someone to acctually show me how to top...but i usually do this i snip in between the branch and stem after its about 3 4 weeks old and it forms a new branch there and it seems to increase yeild outside and i think its called pruning or something like that but i do it anyways should i or not...???
just wait for the damn thing to mature and chop the bitches head off....i swear sometimes you people forget ~MARY~ is a hearty weed. yes a hard to kill weed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
yea i get you h=guys now and ima post some piks of mii plants soo tell me what you think they r under 10 100watt cfls...and in soil with 21 7 14 nitro. and some water no fert yet...but they grow box is ok i guess i could have done better but have a very tight budget...
you will be fine.....Watch those temps
I waited until I had altern. nodes, then I cut right under the newest nodes.
Only one plant per container!!!!
I pinch after the 5th set of true leaves, so at the 6th node, if I'm pinching at all.
Otherwise I let the plant grow single-stem and keep bending the growing tip[ so it points downwards, like a horeshoe, and the side growth is exposed to more light and takes off.
I pretty much see what the plant wants... if it is a strain with a crazy thick stem and vigorous side branches, it gets pincehd early. For example PPP, MTF, or Skunk#1. If it is more flexible, it gets trained over. The example of this is OG Kush, that has a relatively bendable stalk and seems to LOVE training.
two pots wont fit in the grow box but soo i bend it over just before the main stem hardens and do u know how to make the plant where u can have more then 1 main cola...
Use smaller pots... :wtf: in my experience putting 2 plants in the same pot is like BEGGING for a male!Quote:

21-7-14 is some pretty strong fertilizer - dilute it to about 1/4 - 1/2 strength, according to label directions - do NOT apply any fertilizer until the plant is 3 weeks old, and then only occasionally - plants are frequently killed by 'enthusiasm' - as Yeag was saying "it's a weed!", they do amazingly well without input from humans

Sure I have even found it growing in the crack of asphalt along side the freeway, but the difference is quality and the yield in the end.
Treat the plant with the due respect it deserves and it will reward you 10 fold.
If you do crop then give then an extra 2 weeks in the vegetation cycle to recover then start back up your veg day's count.
In other words if you normally veg for 45 day's and you crop your plant extend that 45 day's by 2 weeks and you will be back at the regular 45 day of true veg.
If you bend then add silica or silica blast to your feeding schedule. This makes the plant more mailable and easer to bend with our kinking it. Kinks are a bad thing for this plant.
ok kool ill look at my local plant store for some silica or is there another place to get it like foods or such...and ill dilute the fert as u instructed...they look pretty healthy and ar growin fast they have been out of the soil for about 8 days and are almost an inch and 1/2 or more...i put a bit of soil around then to give them support...ill try to get two smaller pots and try that but itll be a wile...
