McDonalds
Checkerz rocks,,,Jerseys got like 2... But My fries vote goes to MickyDs...
There are only 4 of those places actually in Canada. :p
I choose Arby's though. I greatly enjoy their curly or straight fries, but I prefer curly, and you get a choice too!
I totally smoked Arbys,,,I like their roast beef with horseradish sauce...Quote:

Checkers is damn good...but EW not WACKdonalds! Eat 'em hot and your lucky not to keel over from heart failure..wait 2 minutes and they're cold & useless.
Sonic is pretty good too. Arby's curly fries also need special mentioning haha.
"Anyone else want fries? I don't wanna feel like a fatty if I'm the only one that gets fries."
I voted In & Out cause I love the fresh cut fries, but Mcd's has some bomb ass fries too..........Too bad we don't have In & Out or Jack in the Box here in Colorado, I really miss Cali.
i'm definitely going to go with arby's!!! their curly fries are the shit :) and i like that you get a choice
I tell McDonalds that I can't eat salt and make my fries fresh without,,,then I ask for packets of salt at the window...Quote:

I can buy any kind of french fries in the freezer at the grocery store, even the cheap FMV or store brand and turn those babies into crispy fries that delight..by cooking them on the stovetop in oil..draining them on a paper towel and seasoned with a little salt and pepper with Ketchup and Tapatio mixed together to dip it in..
I don't know if they make them as good anymore, but Nathan's of Coney Island had the best french fries in the universe. They came in a paper cone, and most were BIG, hearty, with crinkles and some small ones at the bottom of the cone. They were not like skinny little McDonalds fries.
Always thought Nathans were kinda soggy...
In the Nathan's franchises, or the Coney Island location? The food is not the same.Quote:

none of the above..i like carls jrs fries. theyre super good and salty.
you didnt have the french fries from popeyes, my favorite.
i really love mcdonalds.

I'm a purist,,,just salt for me,,,maybe a little malt vinegar...
had to vote JITB the curly fries are the absolute best... can't beat 'em..
although there is this local resturaunt next door to my dentist that me and the wife ALWAYS eat at.. called Tony's (not a chain) O.O omg their burgers are fucking amazing and their fries are also....
the patties are like a half inch thick (none of that squeezed the hell out of) burgers that are an inch thick including toppings and buns... and a small order of fries would easily take up the ammount of a large mcdonalds fries... if you weighed the food, tony's would like double mcdonalds for the same price.... but the best part is, half the burger weight is patty alone, not the breador toppings.... and they cook them soo good
they're also not uniformly shaped, so they're obvoiusly fresh.. some are thicker some are thinner (but not by some huge ammount) and some are oval some are round.. etc...
takes forever to finally get your order, but if you ask me that's a good sign... if a buger gets to you in 2 mins, there's no way it can be good..
wendys from that list. overall i like homemade in a frying pan or the kind they have at any bar and grill restaurant like chilis or things like that. also there was this place in our mall called the great steak and potato company that made these really good malt vinegar fries. of that list though wendys, though ive never eaten at checkers. i dont know why mcdonalds is so popular for fries, i consider them the average of fries, like the absolute median.
I like frying them in corn oil...
I like Burger King's fries, you can jam so many of them into your mouth....
Skink I know of at least 4 Checkers in Jersey.. I think Nathans has the best fries. Checkers is good though (luckily there's one 5 minutes from my house).
Yeah,,,I only know 2,,,I don't ge out much,,,LoLzzz...Quote:

I like Arby's curly fries above other commercial choices.
But, to me, nothing beats the ones you can either make at home or get at the independently owned, non-chain burger and barbecue places here in Texas. Take real Idaho potatoes and cut them up into fries, leaving the skin on. Soak them in cold water to keep them white. Heat peanut oil to 325 and cook the drained potatoes for about 10 minutes and then remove them. Then raise the oil temp to 375 and put the once-cooked fries back in the hotter oil till they crisp up and turn brown. Nothing at any fast-food place can hold a candle to those.
The best chips you'll ever have will be from Belgium. Dont know why - but they're the best at it. Theres wont be able to be compared to these fast food places.
Out of the list though i'd say BK - maccy d's are too salty and limp for my liking.
I WANT SOME FOOD. ANY FOOD. I AM STARVING..Damn Skink and these food threads...this board gives me the munchies.
