Holding it for around 3-5 seconds helps absorb all the thc but holding it a lot longer than that isnt gonna do you any good:thumbsup:

97% of thc in the smoke you inhale is absorbed within 3-5 seconds by your lungs....
so technically you could keep holding for that extra 3% but that means you'll also have to hold another 32 hits to pretty much equal one 'filled' hit....
when you put it in those terms, 3% is pretty much nothing right? i mean 33 hits you blow out 99% thc in one hit... o.0
It will get you higher, but here the rub:
When you get high, you also get the effects of smoking plant material. Smoking PURE THC is very unlike smoking pot (tried Budder, anybody?). Therefore, the longer you hold that in, the more plant material and other weird chemicals you are going to absorb, which would likely make you more disoriented and off-kilter.

Not that I don't believe the THC absorbtion rate thing, but has anyone ever actually seen a scientific study or something that proves this? Just wondering, because I never have...everyone on here always says it, but that's as far as it goes. In fact, if I never came to this website, I would still be holding my hits in.
yeah there has been scientific studies... i just don't wnat to have to go and find them again (it has been discussed here, ti's like a long term running debate of this community)
anyways, take my word for it, it's true and i've seen the evidence back it.
3-5 seconds, as others have said, will get you all the thc youre gonna get
but, as others have also said, oxygen deprivation can increase the feeling of the high
