The Dentist

Well i have a Dentist appointment some time in July i am kinda nervous that she will ask me if i been smoking. Not weed buh cigarettes is there any way that i can make my teeth clean enough that she wont say any thing or do i have to stop smoking a week or two weeks before i go to her.

Brush your teeth with a whitening toothpaste and use mouthwash, or just don't smoke ciggs. No point to them at all.

Just tell her what you smoke man! She is a dentist, not the police. All you gotta care about is your breath don't pong the day you go, just brush your teeth like normal. Forget that whitening stuff, dentists can clean the shit off that normal tooth paste can't, I'm due one of them myself actually.

if your teeth are way yellow from smoking or if youve smoked and your breath or clothes stink theyll ask if youve smoked.

my dentist used to ask me that all the time and she still asks me about it when i go in and im 22

dentists ask you that becuase of mostly how your gums are doing
if they are really puffy and bleed a lot when you brush them then she will know you have been doing something like chewin or cigs

Yeah I smoke a lot of ciggs and a lot of weed, in fact at my last densit appointment I was high, it was a appointment I didn't know about and it sucked. But my dentist never said anything to me about my teeth. Just brush them a lot and maybe use some whitestips. And flossings really good too. To me teeth are the most important thing on your face, in a way.

^^ agreed about the most important things on your face... i think its standard for them to ask, cuz i see my dentist all the time , i get my teeth cleaned on a regular basis probably like 4 times a year, he asks me every time i even asked him 3 days ago if he gets tired of asking me he said he has to... so i dunno.. maybe its just him.. i mean does it really matter i don't think so... they just want to kno for the paper work probably...

Ciggs are terrible for your teeth, so probably stop smoking if you're really concerned. Otherwise, try to floss and brush alot, and don't worry about the dentist. They're not gonna tell your parents or anything.

Unless you smoke quite a few like ten a day, they wont notice.

last time i went to the dentist i had a flouride thing and my dentist said "in an hour or so you can go back to eating, drinking, smoking, whatever!" which kind of struck me as odd...oh well. as long as they don't say anything to my parents i'm fine. my teeth look fine either way.

I would worry more about the damaging effects of smoking than the dentist...

i dunno what was thinking i meant to say weed buh not cigarettes buh dosent weed have the same effect on ur teeth as cigs.

I think cigarettes also fuck your teeth from the inside by starving your metabolism of key nutrients, whereas weed doesn't. Weed stains less as well obviously, but still stains.

Look at me giving out all the dentist adive, go to the dentist go to the dentist I AM THE ONE who needs to go to the dentist this bloody back tooth half the filling came out months ago and its starting to hurt now damnit...
