How can anyone get away with this?

I was out last night, at about 12:30am. I was comming up to some traffic lights [that were green thank god] but i slowed down slightly anticipating change before i got there, and to my left there was a small gang of about 7 teenagers. That's a normal sight in London - normally more than 7 though. Anyway, as i went past i looked and saw something by one of these kids legs, and at first i though it was a branch from a tree or something, but as i kept going the street light lit it up and it was a fucking 4 foot samurai sword. They were just standing there wtih it on full show. The way things are going these days they were probably planning to use it on someone too. Why is there never cops when you need them? Anyway, i just thought i'd post this coz i seriously couldnt belive the cheek - they just had it out in the open and didnt care who saw it. Un-fucking-believable.

Sorry to hear that man. I read about it in the paper. It's out of control in London now - i mean, it's like every week a teenager gets killed, probably more than that. The whole thing with gangs is out of control - i remember the days when you could walk around London at night on a stag party and go whereever - end up in soho and in the drinking clubs. I wouldnt want to do it these days though.

And what makes it worse is it's over silly things like people looking at someone the wrong way and shit. It's such a waste of life - and the people doing it just dont care.

Its ok, i stoped talking to them about a year before he died because i moved away. i love london and will always concider it my home but if i had the chance i would probably rather stay in my little town near brighton than move back.

The reason that he was so blatently waving it about is that even if police arrested him there was only a tiny chance of him being sent to court, if he did appear before a judge he would have got a smack on the wrist probably a small fine or community sentence.
There is no detterent in the UK what we need is less of these do good, its not the violent little thugs fault he never had a teddy when he was little brigade, and more of lets crucify the little baststards.
In our local paper this week a 17 year old got 40 hours CS for having a knife, whereas some other at the same court got 14 days for giving a cop a V sign

I agree whole hartedly. We're too soft on the morons - we need to scare them so shitless they cant leave their house, let alone go out with weapons. We need to come down on them like a ton of bricks - zero tolerance.

Around here they get used. If you see a gang of teenagers with a samurai it's too late, coz they'll cut you in half before you can run. That's why it's a big deal. Maybe it's normal over in America, but not here. And especially not with idiots like the ones with have running around the gaff here.

That's a good idea lol. Shame i didnt think of it. Anyway, i'd already gone past when the light lit it up and i saw what it actually was - although reverse was an option lol. And i've just seen a subaru rally car with no plates driving down near where i am now. The show off dick was revving it contantly, sounded as though he didnt know how to use the clutch LOL. Looked nice though - even had the turbo whine. I wouldnt have minded a lap in that.

My sentiments exactly. I cant stand them. Why have they got to go aorund in gangs? And target one person. They know it's not going to be fair. They know they'll win. It's pre meditated murder, they think they can just take the life of someone and act as if it's cool - something to boast about. I got a few blades, but I don't go walking around with them. Exept my work knives, and I had a cane with a sword in it while i had a fracture in my foot, but that was just kinda being funny. . .

It's funny how bad jerk offs need weapons now, either they got a gun or they got their friends to hide behind. i got in a argumet with some kids at a fast food place one time and one of the damn kids maced me across my face. I kinda a big guy so I don't blame hime for being scared (j/k), but he was with like 4 guys not counting him, and I was still able to slap him around a little before he finally ran away. I have been sprayed before so I guess it wasn't that big a deal, or he had some swag ass mace lol. Either way I think it started over them tagging on some shit. . . Little chump probly gave the spray back to his sister after I gave him that black eye. . .

Things aren't quite that bad here, but back in Alberta where I lived there was a bad meth problem, which led to voilence. The funny thing was, there was crack deals going down no more than 3 blocks away from a cop station. Not to mention them asking me for smokes and a toonie ($2 coin) every morning downtown. It's the same answer as yesterday, no, and fuck off.

Nah, it was Red Deer in Alberta. It's not a huge city at about 80,000, I mean compared to the US, that's a town, but it was a nasty problem. A shelter was about 15 minute walk from downtown, and they'd go to pretty much the only soup kitchen in the city. They'd all hang out down there, all tweaked up. Me and my buddy were walking down there once and this chick asked me for a smoke. I don't smoke ciggs., so I said no, and she flipped on me threatening to smack me in the face. :p

From what I've been told though, the city is now actually doing something to stop or slow down the homelessness there. They just got 1 million dollars over a 2 year span to help the homeless. Good to see as walking down there was a total wasteland. Tweakers everywhere.

Hello everyone. I would stay and go on chat but todays a busy day - it's hot and sunny and it's the main changer over day. Work to do sadly :( lol. And some woman earlier looked at me - i think she knew it was a joint in my hand.

police in this country don't care about black on black violence. They don't even care that much about black kids getting killed. This is the same for asians too. In the years I have grown up in East London, I have noticed that when a white kid is killed, they pull out a full investigation, all the works and start arresting and convicting.

However

When a black or asian kid is killed they don't put in as much effort into it.

e.g Stephen Lawrence, Damilola Taylor and the 12 kids killed in south london in 3 months.

I know this isn't the case with all racial murders, but it the majority of these cases follow the same path.

this was awhile back but when i was at work i was outside smoking and it was late.. i was the closer, this homeless guy comes riding his bike falls off in front of us hes bleeding alll over and hes like oh man you guys have a cig so im like what the fuck happen to youu he said a bunch of white kids tried to jump him and his friend and he stabbed them all had this huge ass 12 inch knife and it was covered in blood took it out i yelled at him PUT THAT SHIT AWAY RIGHT NOW he said yes ma'am and put it away, then he snapped his nose back in place and here i am with my crew looking at him like wtf jus happen .. i told him he better get a move on and that the cops were looking for him, he wasn't all their in the head so of course he got on his bike said thanks and i didn't see him again... fuckin weird shit

Just this year theres been a really sharp rise in the amount of peolpe shot and stabbed - i've lost count now of how many kids have been shot in their own homes by other gangs now. We've got 7 year old kids in primary school selling coke and smack and carrying guns. Now that's fucked. They're not even meant to know what drugs are at that age. When im talking about it with people they dont always belive me - and i can see why. It's so mental these days. We have these amnesty's but the next day they just upgrade. It's a piss take and our Government are just sitting there shaking their heads doing nothing. It's like they're all spaced out on smack. They're oblivious.

How did it ever get this bad? What the hell went wrong. This isnt the kinda thing my generation did, we pushed each other around and that was that. Knives wernt used and wernt needed. So what changed?

It's getting to the point where guns, technically, should be legal in the UK - coz damnit, the way things are going we NEED to be able to put up some sort of fight against them. At the moment we've got our hands - hands against guns and knives.

An old bloke got attacked near where my Aunt lives - put his hand up to sheild his face and got his hand chopped off. Completely un-provoked.

I've got alot of potentially lethal weapons in my van - but still, they'd be nothing againt a gun, and concider people throw knives too, they'd be nothing on knives too.

In the state of Wisconsin it's legal to carry Samari Swords, fantasy swords, etc....as long as they are in a sheath and not concealed.

On my birthday I stopped off at the pawn shop and found a beautiful fantasy sword for cheap. (36" blade) I was on the bike so I really had no options except for making a harness out of rope and strapping it to my back. LOL....the dude at the pawn said I looked like Biker He-Man. Guess the Harley was a sub for Battlecat. LOL
