i have a question about lighting

i have a grow box ill post pix soon...but i have a grow box with a 300 and 500 watt light and it has a fan and outlets with aluminum all inside but i dont know if it will kill my plants soo just please help lol...:wtf:

make sure the lights arent too close. but this thread should be in the basic growing section. post it there and see what they tell you

ya growing can be hard. only tried it once, outdoors, everything went good until my neighbor told me he knew what it was

yea i know how that can be but here are some pikz of that box and the light is weird if i click it on once its 300 watt and if i click it twice its 500 watt...but it is about 2 1/2 wide by 3 1/2 tall and cubic i dunno soo i hope its big enough for the light and the fan is on low speed right now and goes to higher speeds...and yeah...:wtf: yeah i why but it wont let me get them pikz up ill try again but yeah...

i dont know a lot about growing indoors but that setup is ok. is there a pic of the soil? but ya i think that light should work. how many plants?

heres a pik of the soil and i planted two but 1 i didnt germanate kuzz i didnt feel like it...lol and thats another question do u have to germinate seeds or can u just plant them i just throw um in and watch them grow but what advantage does germination give u...???and the soil is just miracle grow and use miracle grow plant food and i dont know if i should or shouldnt but i do...

You REALLY need to do some research about all this. First off your on the right track with the fan but them lights are going to be WAY to big for that little box. Try to keep 24" space between the top of the plant to the light. Check out my signature for more information regarding lighting.

Germination: I put the seeds into a glass of water at room temp. Leave them there for about 48 hrs. and then use a tweezers to plant. Put them into the soil about 1/2 inch deep.

If I were you I'd go into the cultivation area and just read, and read, and read. ANYTHING by Zandor is going to be a HUGE + for ya! There are alot of good people that know their shit in there so go in with an open mind.

Oh yeah, scrap that aluminum......you'll burn up the babies. Get some mylar!

yea i will and thnks for the help its apprecitated and maybe ill paint the inside white and there is about 2 1/2 between the plants and the light soo iono some1 said that u should make it strong like sunlight and to use a 300 to 500 watt light soo i used it...lol and they said to keep it about 2 feet away soo i did and if i need any more room ill jus remove the top and hang the light from the roof...

and i have some white paint and some reflective window tint should i use 1 of them instead of aluminum...???

ok i just took the foil out and used metalic spray paint its gold and hope its better and its not horrible bright like the foil but i think itll do the job...

also i dont think that you should use miracle grow (im not sure but i think i read that somewhere. like pyshco said, do your research on this forum and youll be on the right track

What is your box made of? Seeing that Halogen light that close to it would make me very nervous indeed. Those lights get super hot and if thats cardboard or any other highly flammable material, I wouldn't at all be surprised to see it catch on fire. Besides, the Halogen is not good for growing pot anyways. Its the wrong spectrum of light. Glad to hear the foil is gone, but I'm not sure about the metallic paint you've put in. I've never used it nor known anyone who did. I've always used good old flat white paint, and I've had no problems at all.

YEA I FIXED THE LIGHTING PROBLEM ILL POST PIKS OF MY NEW LIGHT AND I GOT SOIL {NOT MIRACLE GROW} WHICH IS 21 7 14 AND SUM THATS 10 5 5 AND I MIXED A LITTLE OF BOTH TOGATHER AND I USED A FERTILIZER AND A VERY LITTLE BIT OF PLANT FOOD WHICK IS 30 15 25...AND HAS POTASH PHOSPHERUS AND NITROGEN...AND I MOVED THE LID TO THE BOX ABOUT 8 INCHES HIGHER AND ITS MADE OF A VERY THICK PLASTIC THATS VERY HARD TO BURN IVE TRYED IT...

MY CAMERA SEEMS TO BE BROKEN SOO ILL JUST SAY IT...MY LIGHTS ARE NOW IN REGULAR LIGHT FIXTURES...I MADE A FIXTURE KINDA LIKE UR BATHROOM OR WATEVER ROOM...WITH TWO LIGHTBULB FIXTURES AND 1 IS A 120 WATT PLANT LIGH AND THE OTHER IS A 32 WATT LIKE WEIRD SWIRLY BULB I THINK ITS CALLED A ENERGY SAVER OR SUMTHING...BUT I NEED TO FIND SOMEWHERE TO BUY GOOD LIGHTS THEN ILL CHANGE THEM TO THE RIGHT KIND IMA LOOK AT PLANT WORLD WHEN I HAVE TIME...AND YEA THATS ABOUT IT AND THANKS FOR ALL THE HELP...:thumbsup:
