make sure no light reach the roots meaning that your water tank should be lightproof
my plants are dying please help!
it is totally possible to overwater hydro......no water during night cycle, and only whats necessary during light hours...one way to check is to go w/out water till they wilt ...then you'll have some idea how often you'll need to water .....which changes depending on heat, and size of plant.

It doesn't really help people to help you if you post temps in a mixed format go with either F or C. Even 76f seems a bit hot.
Can you post pics of your set-up & plants?
What size are they as 1Kw could easily be to hot for beanlings and cook them at 19". Due to cooking of one of my NL beanlings I had to start with a 250W light almost 5' away and sowly bring the lamp down as the green growth on the beanlings appeared.
You could probably find more info in the FAQ section & maybe if you can give more info somene with more hydro experience will chip in with some advice.
