Just curious can anyone here have them?
I found this website with a lot of information on it, and how to be able to adapt your body to have them, anyone can do it you just have to have the motivation, i cant because i always go to sleep stoned lol.
If anyone here has had them i would like to hear about your experiences?
It's just loads of arse. What if I don't like arse? I'm gonna have the worst fucking nightmare...
But yeah, lucid dreaming sounds incredible. I tried teaching myself to do it for a week but broke under the pressure. You need to do shit like write down ALL your dreams and punish yourself somehow if you fail to lucid dream. I'd imagine it's incredible once your there though, must be really good for you.

To be honest, this vid does inspire me to start learning lucid dreaming again. I started a new job and so am sleeping better, could make it easier while i'm off the blaze.
i have had about 5 lucid dreams that i cn remember :) (in the past year or so)
One i remember clearly wasi was running in the dream n it started going in slow motion n i felt like i couldn't move properly as if i was under water, in the dream i then thought ffs its one of these dreams again i hate it when this happens (something like that lol) n then i was like wow hold on i know im dreaming :O i then started running properly, i decided i was going to try and fly, i lifted my arms up then lowered them slowly and i started flying. i kept going higher and higher and it started looking like when you zoom out of google earth and i woke up :)

your mindset is so different when you are lucid dreaming...
in the dream you dont have a full understanding of everything that you have an understanding of in your waking life
Im sure once you get better at it, you can learn that mindset better and learn to do new things...
But ive just started to have lucid dreams quite constantly, and everytime Im in one...I cant realy think of anything fun to do....like I know Im dreaming but I play along with the dream im in...

I find its just like a normal dream except you can controll it, altho i dont remmeber thinking verry much whilst dreaming. like Acouwaila said even know you know your dreaming you sometimes dont change anything thats happening you just go along with the flow which is pretty weird concidering thats what you ultimatly want to do lol.

Lucid dreaming is simply the realisation that you are in a dream state and therefore, are free to control it. Usually when dreaming, our brain is confused and so the dream can be a mesh of random stuff. In lucid dreaming, you take control of the dream, almost as if you were walking around in your head, and can put yourself in any situation you want. Flying over tokyo, lightsabre duel with Darth Vader, fivesome with Japanese females, it's all there baby.
I have had a couple of lucid dreams. I remember feeling really free and without worry, it wasn't entirely lucid, but I remember taking control of the situations I was in and acting like I would in real life.

Yeah astral projection is crazy, but it's probably a hell of a lot harder to do...you never know nayone that astral projects, you just 'hear' about them...
i think it's a load of shit for the most part..probably people lucid dreaming, but thinking they're astral projecting.
nah i dont reckon, the sensations that lead to astral projection are pretty unmistakable, and the stages you go through trying to keep your concious awake
Lucid dreaming is the most amazing thing I have ever experienced. For a while I was doing a lot of reading on lucid dreaming, keeping a dream journal, discussing lucid dreaming, and so forth, to the point that I would dream about thinking about lucid dreaming, which made it very easy to realize that I was in a dream. This made it possible for me to have lucid dreams several times a week.
In a lucid dream, you are god of your own universe. Reality becomes irrelevant and you are free to roam the depths of your own subjective experience unhindered by the sensory input of the external objective universe. Once you learn to get used to the fact that your own expectations determine the universe around you, and gain conscious control of your expectations (it isn't easy), you are literally capable of experiencing any environment you can conceive of. It's just so fucking cool I don't know where to begin. It's like the ultimate virtual reality video game combined with an intense psychedelic trip.

Almost all my dreams now are lucid. It's pretty cool but I can neer fully control them. It's like some force that prevents me. Good tips if you do have a lucid dream and can remember this, in the dream try to close your eyes and turn around to imagine whatever you want. ONce you open them and turn back around whatever you imagined should come true. THis method has helped me escape from shit in nightmares.Uhh I dunno a lot of lucid dreams I try to just follow along with the dream and maybe change shit if it gets uncomfortable. I've tried astral projecting within dreams but that shit is hard and I have yet to master it.
Lucid dreaming is great. I haven't had one since I stopped practicing. But I've had a few that I remember, and most didn't go too far :-P.
On my most memorable one, I remember watching robbers rob a store near my house. They had a big, white van. They went into the van, and I followed them. Soon after, we were on the freeway, and I was chasing them in a high-speed pursuit (no, I was not a cop, haha). Somehow I lost them, and ended up in an alley between two big, tall buildings. I tried jumping above the buildings to catch up to them, and I jumped higher than usual. This triggered my lucid state, and I attempted to jump way over the buildings. I did jump really high a few times, but then I got frozen in the air, and my whole body began to buzz while I was frozen in time and space. I woke up, and the top of my head had a buzz to it.
Another one I had before the previous one:
I was in an airport, I believe, and I was in the waiting room (or something) with this good looking woman. But I had to leave, so I did. Walking down the hallway, I realized that I needed to talk to her so I could get her into bed with me (lol, and this is my non-lucid mind!). So I ran back, but the door to the room was locked. I yelled "Unlock now!" or something similar to that, and it unlocked. This triggered my lucid state, and I became aware of dreaming. As soon as I opened the door, I got frozen in time and space, and everything around me began to spin. I woke up with the top of my head buzzing again.
I've had others, but they are not worth mentioning. Have fun with dreaming, friends. It's very interesting, and loads of fun!
EDIT: I do remember another time where I became lucid, and the dream world began to fade, and I was about to be frozen in time and space before waking up. But somehow I remembered the technique of spinning my dream body around to stop this. It worked, but then I soon woke up for some reason. Another technique is to move your jaw back and forth.
I know exactly what you mean, but you have to realize that the "force" is as much a figment of your imagination as everything around you. The trick is to gain conscious control of what you expect to happen. This is exceedingly difficult because in real life we have to base our expectations on what we realistically think is going to happen and thus we can't just choose to expect whatever we want to expect. In the realm of objective reality, we don't get to choose our beliefs and expectations about reality, but you absolutely can when you're dealing solely with an internal subjective simulation of reality. Learning to do this is how you become dream-god, with the ability to do and change anything.Quote:

I find the best way to stay asleep once you go lucid is to follow the dream, which is part of why I do it. But yeah I tend to wake up earlier than normal sometimes, but I sleep in naps ussually. 1 nap from 2am-ish to 8am then another from 10-11ish. Ussually the second nap is when I lucid dream. I think I read somewhere that you are more likely to lucid dream if you sleep,wakeup,then go back to sleep. And I guess I prove this true. But yeah lucid dreams are awesome and use to be something I looked forward too, but after a while they got really fucking weird and harder to control. My dream "personality" seems to be different than my normal one, so its kinda hard to do "fun" stuff.Quote:
