I tried to make myself not smoke a couple days before my exams in hopes that it might help me do better. This morning was my first exam, and what did I do last night? I went to a friends house and smoked a big joint. I just cant seem to resist the temptation to smoke. If I dont have any and theres no way to get any, I can go without it no problem, but everytime theres an oppurtunity to smoke, I always take it.
Anyone else like this?

I'm exactly like that man, and not just with weed. If you left me in a room with a few boxes of various drugs for about an hour, I'd be so far out of my nut when you came to get me that I'd..... be really out of my nut.
Lame examples aside, I know just how you feel man. Temptation rocks :D
I find that if I study stoned, I can write the exam stoned, if I study sober, I can only write the test sober. mixing and maching bubles up my mind in this regard. just my 2 cents

State dependent learning, if you gotta study & can't go without a toke, just make sure you're just as stoned when you sit your exam & you'll be fine (please note this may not actually have any basis in fact, it's just the way I did all my exams, and I passed all the ones I bothered turning up for)
same here. i had periods that varieted from 3 days upto 4 monhs (there was a major bust and whole country was in weed crisis. Man, it was more common subject than taxes ;) . But, when I have weed, I smoke weed. If u can do it today, why delay :p
I definately have noticed an improvement in school as a result of toking. My averages before I started smoking were around 75 - 78. I started smoking at the beginning of last summer and my average in school is now 83. I had a math test last week for which I had done NONE of the homework for the unit and I skipped the review day for it and got high the period before I had to take it. I got an 82 on the test. I've smoked almost everyday since the beginning of the summer and I see no reason to cut down on smoking if I have pot.

I hear wat ur saying Higi, i'm tryin do the same thing, stop smokin dope before my exams..but its virtually impposible to turn ur back against perr pressure no matter wat anyone says. Your mates smoke a joint u gotta toke from them. Best thing is make sure u dont buy any dope urself that way it stops u from knowing that u can smoke wen ever you want. Tell ur mates tht u wana stop 4 a bit, i did and they actually helped me out, we did stuff that we wudnt normlly do which was cool. Will power is a powerful thing if u have it.

This is an interesting thread. I am going to try to quit for a little while, I'm spending way too much money on pot. I'll start up again once the crops are ready...that's what I keep saying, anyway. Today I made it to about 10 AM before I sparked one up. I used to think it helped the depression, but lately I think I'm getting worse, I don't feel like doing anything...just cry. Oh, yeah, and I'm eating WAY too much ( I had Doritos for breakfast). Anyway, this is it, I'm done with it for a while.

I used to smoke weed everyday and my grades sucked then i cut down because i didn't feel as high anymore so i did it once every weekend and my grades still sucked then when i got put on probation my grades got better not because of the weed it's the motivation if i get shit grades my probation gets fucked over witch isn't fair but can't really do anything about it I don't think weed really has any effect on your grades unless your high doing your school work I think it's more of a motivation thing...well atleast for me that is
Oh and i have exams this coming thursday and friday. Then afterwards school is out thank god!
Wow, I can go weeks without a toke. It is just nice every once in a while for me. I can make a 1/4 last a few months. Lowers my tolerance and I really appreciate the smoke more when it's not a daily thing.
I smoke twice a day usually. During the schoolyear I would smoke at the very least twice a day, usually three, and sometimes up to five or six times a day. I've been a pretty smart kid throughout schooling, I skipped two grades. I've been smoking daily since sept senior year, and first semester I kept up straight A's, second semester I slacked a couple to B's but only because I had already been accepted to college so naturally senioritis since doesn't matter. During AP's I had to cram alot, I'm okay as long as I split it up, I can smoke night before and be okay, but whenever I study I can't be stoned. There's simply no point. Before exams or tests or studying if I feel like smoking, I'll just have a cigarette, nicotine's a stimulant too so its better that I do that then pot. I smoke alot but I keep it separate with studies.
