Me and my friend were talking, and apparantley, he was on the phone with some chick who was thinking about killing herself because of something and she was serious about it. Well I didn't know this, and I sent him YTMND - NILE OWNS . All of a sudden, he started cracking up, and the chick says "FUCK YOU (name)!" and hangs up. He tries and tries to call back, and like a half hour later, her dad picks up and says she is being rushed to the hospital right this minute.
i have no sympathy for potential and/or successful suicides. its pretty heartless i know, but in my opinion if they're not strong enough to handle life, then they're just helping out the gene pool by getting themselves out of it. granted it sucks a lot for everyone left though. those people i do feel for.

Dude, I know you feel bad, but don't look at it as your fault. Her life was unstable. She made a stupid decision, it wasn't your fault man. I don't understand why people kill themselves, Life is only once I'm living through that shit as long as I can. Plus no weed in afterlife, I'm smoking all that I can.:jointsmile:
as i see it most of the time when someone wants to kill themselves its to make others feel bad.... e.g. "they'll see how much they miss me when i'm gone."
How can you feel that way? I'm not attacking the way you feel I just can't comprehend it. I can understand suicide is selfish in the sense you're hurting others in the process. But surely that would make us selfish to deny them something because of how it will affect our own feelings.Quote:

Money is an issue for plenty of people on this forum. Think how many teenagers, kids, adults, and students on here are still living at home. Working a part time job etc. You can't run away on a few pennies. Living is expensive as you may know, and if you do then surely you can understand why moving away isn't an option. Then lets not forget issues you can't run away from such as pyschological scarring. If people are so taumented by life that they feel the need to take their life then so be it. I'd rather a person who's suffering severely, kill themselves (if that's how the feel they should do things) than sit through life, depressed, upset, scared, and confused.Quote:

nation~ its because they dont have to end their life, they choose to. that in my opinion is a cowardly choice. suicides know that they're going to leave hurt behind them and they still choose to do it. i dunno man, i just can't explain it but its something i feel strongly about. sucides invokes no sympathy from me whatsoever. if they aren't tough enough to handle life as part of the human race, then chances are the human race is better off without them.

billion~ i am very close minded at times, i will not deny that. there are plenty of fourteen year old girls out there that had it rough and are still kicking today. the way i feel about suicide is like i said to nation, if they're not strong enough to handle life as part of the human race, then the human race is that much better off without them.

I don't think a lot of you understand that a person who honestly wants to end their life is most likely genuinely depressed/mentally ill. They're SICK. Would you rather just kill a sick person or try and get them better??
I for one sympathize with those that are like that because they feel so alone in such a populated world. Sure it might be selfish to think of killing oneself, but remember, they are SICK and not thinking clearly, and need help themselves. I just don't really see how any of you cannot feel sorry for those that DO end their lives...it's sad because they didn't get any help when the help is out there.

People aren't just depressed becuase they're broke. Having no money just makes things harder. What if you want care, but can't afford it? What about people that are infact mentally traumatized and just can't go on?Quote:

Those that TRULY are depressed/ill will go through it without mentioning it to anyone, and honestly, hide whatever is bugging them so no loved ones around that person have any idea until it's too late. That was how it was with my dad. On the outside he was still that happy-go-lucky jolly man, but internally, he had secretly been plotting his death for some 6 months. We just got super lucky and found him before it was too late...
