Could it be as simpel as out growing the growing room. Top of growing room ranges from 4~5 feet. Plants are now very close to 400w MH lights (inches). The room also averages 80F when lights are on. Is this just heat related or something else. The only option I have is to continue to top if so.

Yes that looks like heat damage.
That damage is mostly heat/light damage but I think you may have a little somethingelse going on there... Okay, I see a few things- the curling leaves, the random round necrotic dots, the burned tips, and then the regular striping on a few of the older leaves.
Flush out your plants really well and feed them with a complete fert that has micronutrients- if you have any way to check pH, make sure it is in range. It looks like you have a salt problem resulting in a lockout, that's what I get from the burned tips and stripes.
All the other shit yeah get your temps down but really you need some serious ventilation as well, and raise your lights! Also, stop watering with the lights on or be more careful not to splash water on the leaves. The polka dots are burns from water droplets sitting on the leaves under the HID.
What are you doing for ventilation atm? That is contributing big time I think.

Thanks for detailed reply?. I will include pic of grow room and you will see my challenges. I have an 8000 BTU portable AC unit in back of room. I vent exhaust into attic. The room is only 4??x8?? with a 4~5?? ceiling. Under a staircase? Half of room 10 Plants are in Turbogarden Ebb and Flow which place plants much higher (closer to lights). Other plants are in 5Gal buckets. The lights are as high as I can get them. I have even moved the lamp over the Turbogarden to 45 degree to mke additonal room. Any other advice or oberservations would be much appreciated. My first indoor project and have already made many mistakes but have injoyed most of learning curve.
In addition plants in buckets have been on 12/12 light for 50 days and still no flowers.
No flowers after 50 days, and those plants are certainly old enough to produce, you have a major stress problem going on, possibly a light leak in addition to the heat. And are you still giving them a lot of nitrogen?
Anyway check for light leaks.

Try to get your vent tubes as straight as possible, any bends can dramatically hinder your airflow.

Light leaks were my big problem, lost 3 weeks. :mad:

Thanks ?? I??m needing a little encouragement. Very tired of smoking dead leaves?. Still keep a little geto-bud around for company but my throat can??t take much more of tops and leaves.- i need my on bud. Can as little lite as leaving the door open a nite or 2 keep em from buding? If so will they eventually flower if I am more careful? 110 days (in buckets) and no buds is gona send me back to the HOOD. . The Hydro germinated (59) ago 15 day @ 12/12 (but likely left door open a few times also. Still no exact sexing.
Added Fan today.... Still need 2 duct somewhere
A little misleading. The room is 80F at dirt level. The top o the plants in buckets are 8~10? from lamp and the Hydro is right in front ???@ 45deg angel.
StinkyAttic, you have been consistently helpful during my first grow. The hydro plants are doing well with sizable buds. The (4) original plant started in 5 gal buckets were growing and budding perfect until a few days ago when (3~4) turned brown and died. I dug down and explored root system. About 25% down the roots were large and appeared healthy ?? 30~40% there appeared to be no roots at all. Bottom 50% of bucket had many very fine / small roots that appeared detached from plant. Things I know I did that were BAD?
1. I moved the plants nearly daily to gain access to hydro
2. I watered to often hopping to overcome heat problem
3. Typically I used tap water without lowering PH or depleting chlorine.
Just has to be root tot. I had plenty of drainage holes but believe I killed them anyway.

Your reasons for root rot include the REAL culprit, which is overwatering. Moving the plants is fine for them, don't worry. And I have never used anything BUT untreated tap water!!! Overwatering plus heat= GREAT conditions for mold to grow.
Nextt ime you see that problem strting, try drilling the sides of the buckets fulla holes to let more oxygen in. I have never used hydrogen peroxide, but it IS a possibility to treat root rot. Also, Serenade fungicide used as a drench could help if it is not too far along. If a plant is showing signs of root rot, another thing to do is get it into a spot where it is not getting the full blast of your big lights, because it is not able to suck up moisture fast enough to replace that lost by transpiration.

Do u see anything on attached that concern you. Some buds look perfect som look like they are not sure what they are yet. Then the total dead vegitation is concerning. Lastly is Bud1 ready to harvest? thanks again
Yikes, they ALL look scorched. Those curled-under leaves aren't good.
As for ready to harvest, between the flash and not being able to see the trichs, it's impossible to say. You have to look at the hairs, and then at the trichs to pin it down. But the hairs DO darken prematurely under heat stress conditions.
Although mine are ok i think that my 2 suffered with heat stress cos all the other 6 died and they looked just like the first pictures on the thread ,but as said prev in thread i added a normal 4" household fan just extracting out of the grow room itself and it seems to help, it gets it down about 8 to 10 degs i reckon ,but if it gets to hot i open my roll up door and although i waste light they def didn,t slow down at all.:smokin:
I imagine those plants have several issue's HEAT,OVER-NUTE,OVER-WATER,PH,and SEVERAL DEFICIENCIES DO TO NUTE LOCK-OUT.Quote:

oh man, one of our plants looks like its heading that way, but with already formed buds.
Did a complete revamp on grow room. Last crop was so-so. I think u were aware of my heat problem. That has been corrected. But grow area is still very limited in height. Possibly 4?? from tank / plant to ceiling. Ideally I would acquire seeds or babies that grow short but I??m a coward to mail order.
What I have is what I will call commercial / Mexican. Here is the specific question ?? how much can I afford to top to keep them short and how long should I hold off before going 12/12 keeping in mind that I only have 3-4?? vertical before tying down or training is required? Babies are 22 day old.

You are however TOTALLY shooting yourself in the foot growing mexischwag indoors. It's a sativa-dom class of plants that were bred for being grown in dry outdoor conditions and manicure easily. I would pinch the tops at the 5th node to get them as bushy as you can before flowering. Pinch, wait 2 weeks, flower. Sativas grow tall and lanky. I've tried growing out mexis indoors and haven't been satisfied.

Seedboutique is very safe. Safer still (no customs) is an American breeder if you are lucky enough to get an in.
IF you STILL do not want to order seeds, ask your dealer to save you the seeds from his supply of middies and headies and say that your ex girlfriend or something wants them...whatever, make up some dumb story and act like you think growing indoors is a fools errand. Middies are often indica-dom and better suited to indoor applications.
With such limited space (heightwise) you should try LST or a SOG setup.
And an indica would probably work better too :p

Need info on Grand Daddy Purple have babies coming and can??t find much grow info. How high in inches should they be b4 going 12/12. I have limited height in grow room. Only about 36? total. Eba and flow. Is it indica or sativa.
hmmm, sorry don't know about the specifics for growing, but I happened upon some last month, and H*LY SH*T! it was some of the best smoke i'd seen in years...hope the grow goes well!!.:thumbsup:

Your gonna need more height. 12-15 inches tall for veg, until switch to 12/12 flowering cycle.
A good plant is 3-5 feet tall at harvest. If you still have that 400MH, your gonna have to keep it about 15 inches from the top of the plant mininum, and your gonna have to keep that ZONE at 75-85 degrees....enjoy...:pimp:
Temp high of 87deg?. Have been successful with (Mexican) bending and training after budding with wire to allow for a little extra room. I am limited to 36? above top of planting container to lamp. It??s awkward. Wish I could find someone who has grown GDP or could point me to background ?? like where it came from and what buds look like and type of high to expect.
