The Mahdi, according to Shi'ite tradition, will arise at some point before the day of judgement, institute a kingdom of justice, and will in the last days fight alongside the returned Jesus against the Dajjal, the Antichrist.

BBC - Press Office - George Bush on Elusive PeaceQuote:
Abu Mazen, Palestinian Prime Minister, and Nabil Shaath, his Foreign Minister, describe their first meeting with President Bush in June 2003.
Nabil Shaath says: "President Bush said to all of us: 'I'm driven with a mission from God. God would tell me, "George, go and fight those terrorists in Afghanistan." And I did, and then God would tell me, "George, go and end the tyranny in Iraq â?¦" And I did. And now, again, I feel God's words coming to me, "Go get the Palestinians their state and get the Israelis their security, and get peace in the Middle East." And by God I'm gonna do it.'"

stuck in the middle with.......?
miracles, armageddon, the inalienable right to global destruction. why are we surrounded by fools who look forward to the end of the world with a gleam in their eye? it was bad enough when the philosophical sticking points were centered around political and economical ideologies. now we have taken a step back into the dark ages and brought religious dogma into the arena of international politics. i'm just sitting here, waiting for the pope to declare war on buddhism.
if it weren't so sadly amusing, it would be frightening as hell. muslims praying fervently for their mahdi, christians gleefully awaiting their rapture, everyone seems to be holding their breath in anticipation of enlightenment and the calamities it carries in its wake. i suppose it has always been this way. people preferring god to take charge and wipe away mankind's inequities and iniquities.
Not many Christians are granted all the wine they can drink with 72 virgins if they blow their dumbasses up. THAT is the difference, one cherishes life and the other death. Isn't suicide a BIG no no in the Christian faith for any reason?

Show me a quote on suicide in the Bible. Maybe under, "thou shall not kill", might include your self. Suicide bombing is the wretches way of attaining martyrdom. There is no martyrdom in christianity that I'm aware of.
It's not a quote but an interpretation:Quote:

CATHOLIC ENCYCLOPEDIA: Suicide
If I remember right, suicide bought ya an eternity in Purgatory.

Probably not. Better this technology remains in the trustworthy hands of western diplomats.Quote:

Does anyone still believe in purgatory, that myth dreamed up by Catholics. Let me say this: If I was about to endure a fate worse than death (torture, Life in Prison, Marriage, just kidding,) I would surely consider the "cowards way out". Being slow roasted or having your bowels slit open don't quite sound better than a .45 to the temple, and a life prison sentence, count me out. Do you know how much easier it would be to pull the trigger if you were facing something like that?Quote:

Watched the same show........VERY interesting!

Its amazing what man will do for their gods to bad things havent changed much.....Yeah that show was very interesting and that wall of sculls wow.Its very intersting how only a few Spanairds conquered the Aztecs considering the Aztecs were no pussies and outnumbered the Spanairds by a very very large margin.I had read that in one battle less than a hundred Spanairds slaughtered 20 000 Aztecs amazing since these Aztecs were ferociouse warriors.
