I always have wondered what types of bongs people perfered. Do you like a bong with a carb or do you like a bong that you have to pull the bowl to clear? Personally I enjoy the smoke from a bong without a carb and I also like the look because it does not have a big hole in it. I guess the point of this thread is see what people like better.

I thought carbs on bongs were just for people too cheap or poor to buy a bong with a slide...
one of my bongs has a slide and a carb...so i get the option everytime i smoke

I wonder what the one persons reasoning for choosing the carb was. I really want to know why he chose that over the slide.

I'd like a bong with a slide if I could find one. I have been looking everywhere to order one lol. And no I don't have a local headshop so I can't go there.

I prefer slides. But me and my buds have to buy in large quantities, because somebody always drops the slide. It never fails.
What's the benifit of having a slide? My bong has a slide, but I have no clue why it's better, I just think it's cooler.

I like carbs just because they don't break, and I break a lot of them on my concrete basement. I must say that sliders are easier to cash. But overall I like the fact that I can let air in and cover it again. When the smoke becomes too thick I can thin it and keep hitting. Overall my hitting endurance is longer and I waste less bud, than with sliding.
Carb, easier to do same hit also as burnt toast said. and with a carb its easier to double hit it then with a slider. if that makes sense haha

Our homemade bongs used carbs, and yeah, after you take a hit you need a buddy to suck out the smoke that's left in the bong. Pain in the ass and a waste of grass. Our new bong has a slide.

i like carbs, dont c ws wrong with em...ive only used a slide once tho :o lol there not verry popular around these parts.
Also i dont c the point in paying out extra for a bong with a slide when its basically the same except theres no risk of ya bowl falling of n breaking...
being new to the whole thing (smoked since february only), I've only tried one of each myself. ive got my own bong, which has a slide, and my uncle that lives here too has a bong with a carb. in my sessions smokin with him ive gotta say i REALLY don't like the carb compared to the slide. slide seems to hit a LOT better and less harsh at the same time. i can barely get a decent hit out of the carb half the time, but then again im a noob. tally up the numbers and ive gotta say i love my slide.

Having one of each type, I definitely must say that slides are much better, at least in my experience. They allow the smoke to be inhaled faster from what I've seen.
i think slides are a huuuuuge pain in the ass, id rather have a carb and be able to clear it as many times as i want
The hit depends on the size of the carb really, i made my carb about 5mm bigger so that i could clear the bitch easyer lol.
I dont dislike slides its just that i know if i had one it would get broken quickly.
