NEED HELP...Plants very yellow
Well, my one plant in the top right corner of room is in week 5 of flowering...others are in week 2...having some real problems in the last week...plants yellowing and crisping on the ends of the leaf...first i thought the lamp was too close which was wrong...gave it a light dose biobizz biobloom, cal mag and liquid karma on sat...plants got worse...any ideas...think it may be ph b/c i had a low ph problem during my veg cycle and added some earthjuice up...did the same today hoping it helps...any other suggestions?

when in doubt just flush them.
when you flush make sure the water runs clear out the pots removing all the yellow from the soil, then add 1/4 of nutes and PH the water and pray she pulls out.
those plants look very behind for 5 weeks how long has this been?
NEED HELP...Plants very yellow
no...three of the plants are 2 weeks into 12/12...the one in the first pic in the top right corner is on week 5...(i've included a close up below) can't seem to figure out what went wrong...buds are big on the plant on wk 5 but leaves are very yellow...others are just beginning to form buds at only 2wks of 12/12 and two of the three are also very pale yellow with drooping leaves and curled tips...check out the pics from above PLEEZ

Well are you checking your ph? if so what is it? If not....start because it sure could be your problem.....especially since you added more nutes and it got worse.

Here's a really good link to plant problems. Check it out and see if you can find the problem....has lots of pics and good info.

good luck. ;)

now that link is even more complicating...cuz it looks like my week five has a nitrogen deficiency...the other two look like maybe nitrogen and zinc but i'm very unsure...better check the ph tomorrow...had a low ph problem previously that was very similar...adding ph up today with some superthrive at ph of 7.5...not sure if that was smart cuz i didn't check the ph...but like i said its almost exact to my problem that i had in vegging which was low ph...thanks

its a toxic salt build up, the crips leafs is a give away.
Make sure you flush it well or you will have a lot of nutrient build up to smoke and that can ruin your flavor.
NEED HELP...Plants very yellow
thanks zandor...i will flush them heavily tomorrow...should i then use 1/4 strength nutes as invision suggested?
NEED HELP...Plants very yellow
Do yourself and your plants a favor and use a commercial flusher.
You are so late in flower you may want to think of 1/2 strength and only feed every other water. It will take them time to perk up and you don't have that much time left. If you are going to use boosters make sure you cut back on other minerals or you will over feed the others too. Some strains can take it at the end but not all of them.

That is so cool....

so today i went and puchased botanicare's clearex...directions said 7-15 ml per gal...went with 15ml...said to give each plant two quarts of water but i gave all 3 a gallon each because the pots are 17in. (rather large)...post some pics in a week to let u know how they look...should i give em 1/2 strength nutes on the next watering or just give em some time b-4 i begin my nutes every other watering at 1/2 strength?
NEED HELP...Plants very yellow
thanks for all the advice...i was wondering what time frame u were talking when u said it will take awhile for the plants to perk up...u mean like a week or weeks? also how long should i wait b-4 i begin nutrients again...thanks in advance

It can take anywhere from 5-10 days for most strains to recover from any shock or nutrient problem. Monitor your Ph and stabilize it before you feed them again. Most likely Ph was the first problem that causes the second problem.
Check the nutrient availability chart posted in the grow FAQ section. Follow that chart while you finish your grow to avoid problems again. The chart will show you the different minerals available to the plant at variable Ph levels through out your grow.

always wondered...how can u check ph day to day without drowning the plant....isn't the first step in checkin ph watering until run-off and then testing the run off...i assume continual watering during a recovery process is bad...is there another way to check the ph?...or should i have checked the ph after my 1st watering (which means i already messed up)...definitely need help...thanks
NEED HELP...Plants very yellow
plants are beginning to look much better...figured out the problem i had continual ph issues...was mixing my nutes with the suggested ph level for hydro 5.2-5.9 instead of the in soil recommendation of 6.2-6.5...my ph must of dropped badly every time i fed em cuz the ph was so low...they're recovering slowly but surely and are not takin up nutrients i believe b/c of the adjusted ph of the nute mix and the flush...thanks guys....pics coming soon
NEED HELP...Plants very yellow
ok, so the plants seem a little stuck still...like they need a boost...u think a very dilluted foliar spray with bio-bloom would help or just further irritate my plants?
NEED HELP...Plants very yellow
It looks like a PH problem to me. Have you checked your water source? I had some like that before and it was the PH.
NEED HELP...Plants very yellow
no i think i was overfeeding them...flushed em again and just keeping my fingers crossed
NEED HELP...Plants very yellow
flush and start over with recipe paying careful attn: to ph.........is my best guess

Well in soil you cshould use a proper ph tester. They are found at wall-mart, Home depot and any garden store. They will cost you less then 12.00 usd. It's a combo moisture/Ph soil meter.
You balance the water you use yes but the run off is one way to monitor the PPM and the used salts. Much the same way you can use a brix meter as way to check how your plant is doing on the nutrients you are feeding them.
You may want to pick up some CalMag Plus and use it with every watering too.
