where are you looking???
Skink,
Is spell checker a mod only feature because I don't see it in right corner where your picture show? I see the up/down arrows and the A/A button, but know spell check.
Typing it in word and copying it to the box works well if you are writing a big post and want to make sure words are spelled correctly.
Google works well to for words you aren't sure on.
Not a mod privilege, I have it too. I do remember having to download it from somewhere but can't remember exactly.
Yeah Mid is right,,,but I DLed and installed it from here... The last time I reinstalled my OS I grabbed it from the site,,,so hit it and install it... let us know if it makes the link apear here...
ieSpell - Download
Hmmm... not compatible with OSX, what a suprise.
And I use firefox.
I may and try and find one that will work, sometimes I can't spell for shit.
proof read maybe? i have never in my life used spell check... :)

If you download Google toolbar there is a spell checker plug in you can install on your browser. It works for anything you post on the net.
Sorry, I dont mean to butt-in, but if you use firefox it has a built in spell checker(options>general>browsing) It will check it as you spell. It makes me look much smarter than I really am!
If you already knew this, Just ignore me. ;) It wont hurt my feelings I promise!
well midlife...maybe everyone should be? ;)
that explains it,,,IEspell is for IE and that is what the link here is to,,, IEspell also... I don't know if the forum software here has it's own spellchecker,,,but I will investigate...
I have found some stuff on google that states that the FF spellchecker is not compatible with vbulletin forum software...
anyone using the FF spellchecker with our board???
I use it all the time. Works great. No problems with compatibility.
cool, there is the solution... I am not to happy with IE spell anyway,it misses words all the time...Quote:

As far as I know there is no amount of proofreading or a drug (sorry to say even cannabis has it's medicinal limits) that can cure even the symptoms of this let alone the cause.

ill keep that as a donation to lacquer my table for you, thanks... :)
LOL
How do I use the spell checker in firefox. I searched google and saw that they have a new version of FF so I DL'ed that.
It said there is a spell check built in to this new version, but I don't see it anywhere. It is possible i'm over looking it.
When I go to the spellbound site, and try to download and install the library's for OSX it is saying it is not compatible with my version of FF (both the old and new.)
Why does it seem like technology goes out of it's way to fuck with me sometimes?
Ok, well I get a red line under words that are misspelled but don't see anyway of finding the correct spelling in this browser...
right click on the misspelled wordQuote:

As Long As The First And Last Letter Of The Word Is In Its Correct Position, You Can Position The Middle Letters In Any Order And Still Make Sence Of It. Our Eyes Just Glance At He First And Last Letters Of A Word.
kinda freaky,,,I had no trouble reading any of that...Quote:
