For those trying to make a bong:

hey, i just have to share this with someone. when i get high, i become very inspired to make things, and the other day i was inspired to make my own bong and water pipe. not on;y are they made from household items, but they work perfectly, look real, and are incredibly durable. here's what i used:
-big tomato sauce glass bottle with tin top
-bowl (any type: metal, glass, tin foil)
-several feet of tubes (you can get these at any hardware store)
-knife or drill
-water and ice
-bubble gum
-duct tape
To start, cut a hole in the top of the sauce bottle the size of the bowls stem. then attach the stem to the tubing, make it air tight using bubble gum. the next step is to cut another hole on the top and insert tubing. the tube should only go half an inch into the bottle, but can be as long as you wish. using the duct tape, make the container air tight from the bottom, and then use bubble gum to seal any holes from the top. when the container is air tight, cut a carb wherever you find it comfortable. these are incredibly durable and look very nice, they hit hard as hell too. i've attached a picture.

Very slick!! I would recommend Silicone sealer or clay or anything more durable than gum though... if ya got it around (which I do, being the toolman I am :p )...

If I had a firewire hookup for my comp I'd snap some pics with dad's old digi of my homemade water pieces, but I don't :(

buck, next time ill try your way. sounds like it would make them even better, not bad for a first time builder though, considering i was high. bubble gum just seemed like a good material at the time cuz i had alot of it, and was way to high to go into town to buy clay. thanks for the feedback, i'm gonna go hit that big bong now. peace

BTW, what did you use as a bowl on that bong? Looks like a 5/8 socket or some shit...

haha, dont get me wrong, i enjoy constructive critisism. yea, the bowl on the big one was actually some type of socket that i "borrowed" from the woodshop at my school. they have plenty of them. on the smaller one i used some type of metal bowl that is meant to be used on a hose in one way or another. both bowls work perfect, they hit really hard. peace

How does that socket hit? Can you check the size, I'll bet its 5/8" does it take a standard sink screen?

haha, potheads for life. yea, it was 5/8, and it hits beutifully. the total height of it is 2 and a half feet right now, and when i took a hit, it nearly knocked me on my ass. i just use a metal pipe screen, and cut it to fit the bowl. if you ever in NH we should share a bowl. peace

the tubing only costed a total of around 30 cents, so dont worry about spending all that money on your gift card unless you plan on making a few hundred bongs.

yea, tomarrow ill post some picks of the inside.

heres the photos you asked for of the inside structure. as you can see, the stem from the bowl goes down much deeper then the stem that you suck from. when filling the bong, the water level should be about an inch or two above the bowls stem. the tube you suck from must be a few inches above water. hope this helped. :rolleyes:

nice...some friends and i made a 3 hose bong sorta like that.
and for people making their own...just go to home depot, or a similar store. you can buy
6x12 Feet screen roll: $5 (enough to make in the area of 500 bongs)
Steel Bowl like joints: 90 cents
10 feet of small PVC piping: $1
Tubing : $1
Glass Drill Bit: $6

Imagine all the possibilities!!!! For so little money

ok heres an easy bong get a bottle like 500ml and stab a biro pen into it take the stuff out put a bong head on it put water on and figure out the rest not fance not gd looking not realy a gd bong but when u got no papers u use wots handy

heres how to make the most simple bong i know of (in desperate times of course)
ok u take a twenty ounce bottle ,empty it,then take the wrapper off, now right where the wrapper was burn a hole the size of your thumb with a lighter or candle, when the hole is burnt take a piece of aluminum foil and poke tiny holes all in it with a needle, put the foil around youre thumb and then push it into the hole, make sure theres a little foil left on the outside of the bottle and push that flat with the outside of the bottle.....
after uve made it pack the bowl with ur favorite kind of astro-turf and suck out of the part where u drink...
