What happens in your home when you get caught smoking ganja by police?

I was wondering. It just happened to me today. Here, where I live the cops pulled like a bad cop, good cop fucking routine. They referred to us in obscene ways and all. It pisses me off cause I know -and it was that way, that all the fuckers want is money, hey, they even took our stash and say they were going to smoke it. Assholes.

here we get taken into the police station and then have to go to court and pay a fine and maybe go to jail...

My advice is don't toke up in public near money hungry bribe accepting police. Love peace and afro grease.

I if had been taken by the cops they would've put me in jail but for one day, and also told my parents >:(

I live in New Jersey and cops here still arest you here... I wish We could just pay them to go away but cops are only here to make money for the state that is their job and they love being assholes...

in the u.k useally just a slap on the wrist, where im building a house at the moment this community cop walks past every day and always stops for a chat, i always have a j in my mouth i never try and hide it but i dont smoke it while i'm talking to him, i can see him thinking that cant be a j because i'm so blatent in his face with it, sorry cop 1 - 0 to me you dumbass.

Here there's a good chance they'd just ignore you. The best they could do if they're up to be assholes is confiscating (and prolly smoking it later) your stuff and get you on the police station for identification. No jail or anything.

I always thought of colombia as being a a huge jungle that's run by drug cartels and has a bunch of villages. I also wasn't aware that any one cared.

Last time i had cops come round i'd just finsihed smoking an few joints, and had a 1/4 oz on my table. They saw it, picked it up, smelled it and put it back. If it's in your own house in the UK and it's 1/4 or under they normally wont even confiscate it, if it's anymore you'll probably get a fine at the very very most. Even if it's more than an oz you'd only get a suspened sentence, so it's pretty safe in England. But if they knock you havnt got to let them in - and they cant search. They'd have to get a search warrant and by then you could smoke it all or get rid of it.

my room mate was arrested with a few grams in his pocket. they didnt find it till they got back to the station but the cops started criticizing the quality of his pot and talking about how they only smoke "the best shit in new haven".

Lol I can actually believe that, I have a friend who is biploar. The cops came round her house, she was stoned and theyve said to her they would rather deal with stoners than pissheads.

The cops i dealt with we're pretty cool with it - when i got back to the holding bit before being booked in by the lazy ass custody sgt i was talking to one of the cops for just over an hour about it. He agreed with nearly everything i said [which was a real surprise]

He said most cops dont want to deal with people smoking something - he said himself its a waste of their time, court time and money.

I supose that changed my view of cops - but the problem is you dont know if they're pricks or not, so i treat them as pricks untill i know what's going on.

Man... i think its disgusting when people from another countries have such opinion about the place where we live... Ive heard lots of people, mainly from usa, to say brasil is a jungle, with monkeys and snakes in the streets... and much worse, they think the capital of brasil is Buenos Aires!!! Thats an insult, the mentioned city is the capital of Argentina! Argh!!

Anyway... to your question... it depends on the city you are, and the badness of the cops. When i was in college, the city i lived was very cool about smoking, so the cops would just take the weed away (and smoke themselves), or even ignore it.
The city i live now is far greater, and much more violent, so the cops here are really bad. If you were busted, probably you will be beaten (as the cops love to throw their anger on anybody), and will have the weed taken, obviously. Unless the cop is very good. In this case, he just will take you weed and ask for some money for dont take you to the jail. But bad cops, after beating, can ask for money also... so, all in all, is losing or losing...

In Aus u get a on the spot fine for anything under an ounce ,abt $150 AUS.Anything over that you get locked up till u can get bail.what a joke hey? all cause a plant is a crime.
