Loss of magic? Or tolerance?

I am very familiar with tolerance and all that shit. When I first started smoking about 3 years ago weed used to fuck me up. It filled me with wonder about all sorts of things. And when I smoked it I sometimes felt like I came in contact with god. Pretty spiritual. But needless to say back then it made me trip and laugh uncontrollably and made me hungry to the point where I couldn't control it and it would last all day and I would wake up feeling great.

After about 6 months I started smoking multiple times a day, a few bowls to keep me high all the time. After a year to a year and a half I started to smoke about and 1/8 a day of mid quality bud. I was still getting super high tho.

But now three years later I don't know what happened. I still get high from weed but not nearly as high as I used to. It is no longer spiritual for me. Most of the major effects I used to feel are gone now. I don't really laugh that much more on weed than when Im sober anymore. I definatly don't feel like im tripping, i feel almost just normal as bad as that sounds. But i've been smoking about a quarter a day of dank ass weed. Regualr weed doesn't get me high anymore, only dank. And when I get high I feel a really weak "stone" for about 15 minutes, then I just get really tired and groggy and can't even tell if im high or just tired.

I think weed has just become a habit for me. And I smoke so much that it isn't special anymore and it is just a daily routine. But my question is, is tolerance really dwindling the effects of weed to this point? I would stop smoking weed for a little while but I cant sleep without it.

It's tolerance. That's what tolerance does. This is how tolerance effects most people, but i find for me it doesnt make the bud any less potent, just the stone doesnt last as long as it used to.

If you went on a break for a week or two and then smoked, you'd be back to being fucked everytime. If you went without for a month you'd be at noob level again.

It's up to you what you do, but because you need it for sleep [i assume from what you said] maybe just cut it down to a couple of hits before bed.

Once I can legally buy alcohol i'll take a month break off of weed (just a few beers though to feel a buzz and take the edge off) so when that month is over I can get fucked the hell up again.

Lol after 3 yrs of smoking and you haven't heard of a break? The "magic" isn't gone you just need to take a break or stick to buying dank if it's the only thing that does it for you. Take one and you'll be glad you did.

take a while off. if you need pot to sleep thats not a good thing. part from it for about a week, then take a gbanger and youll be super stoned. :rastasmoke:

indeed... ive been smoking everyday for 2 years, then take a break of only 4 days... man... when i smoked after it, i become heavily stoned... i could not even act sober (what im used to do very well)... i was with a friend of mine, and after toke we went to his house. I know the way very well, but that day if he had left me alone, i could have lost myself... i could not recognize the streets, the streets i walked almost everyday during years... so.. take a break, and all the magic of weed will come back! :thumbsup::jointsmile:

my friend was like that once, he then took a 2 month break cus he wanted ot get rlly high, so after the break me and him smoked a half ounce(i only stopped for a week) but after that we were soooo fuked up, he actually had a tear come down his eye cus he was so happy he was this high again ahaha it was soo fukin funny.

Really a week or two break will do all that for me? I thought it would have to be like 2 months which I can't really do because I always have weed around me and the temptation to smoke it is pretty fucking strong. But no i've never taken a break. And why is it I can't sleep without getting stoned first?

Well... when i smoked waay more than now, i used to have problems to sleep if i didnt smoke. Do you drink stimulants like cofee, or coke/pepsi/whatever often? If so, maybe they are interferring with your sleep pattern, so you only can sleep because the stoning effect of thc. In this case, drinking this things only at morning/afternoon can help a lot.
Anyway, im sure a break of 3-4 days will make you very stoned. Try a small break. If it dont work enough, try a greater break (1 week), until you find the best duration for a break.
Last year i used to smoke twice a day, and the effects were not sooo high... then after the break i did, i only smoke once a day, and it makes a GREAT difference... now my higs are FAR higher than when i smoked twice a day... and i feel better too... more alert, and less burnt... moderation is the key.

Yea. What to do is, smoke a weekend, and then break that whole work week. If you need, take a couple shots (preferably) or a couple hits to get you to sleep. When Friday hits, buy your normal amount and smoke with some buds and just chill all night. You WILL get high. 4 days is great. And as others said, 2 weeks, a month, two months also add some to it, although the first few days of break lower tolerance the most.
