Wtf is up with society these days

Why the fuck do people need fancy cars and high paying jobs. The point of life is to be happy and why the fuck does society tell people that u need these things to be happy. Society looks down on pot heads because "society" thinks that marijuana turns people to shit. But in reality marijuana helps people see through the bullshit and allows people to be liberated and really most pot heads(i do any way) feel sorry for the nieeve(spelling) people of the world that fallow the rules and believe our governments. Those poor people think our governments are being honest with us. Poop bastards. Anyway people who listen to laws that effect noone but themselves are fucked in the head in my opinion. I agree that theives beong and jail and all murderers should be shot but drug laws are jokes. I think the only reason they are in place is that if everyone smoked weed and became able to see through the bullshit than everyone would stop workin for the man and be free spirits but in order for governments to make money and survive "society" must adhere to a strict set of rules in order to keep "us" under control.

oh ya one more thing every time u get a chance to stick it to the man do it. Jus dont get caught cause we all know what happens when the man gets pissed.

All you can do is get out there and try and change something for the better...even if it's just a tiny thing. And be happy with your life and yourself...cos if you'r not then it's all been pointless.

I agree. I don't really care how much I make after college ( as long as I can live confortably ) , I just want to enjoy it and get the best out of it I can. I don't want to work all the time, and that be the focus of my life.I'm going to live it up doing whatever I enjoy, and spending my time freely. :rastasmoke:

People like the idea of becoming happy, and believe that someday they will be happy by chacing it. Well..you are eaither happy or your not, everything you are feeling at this moment is what you have, you can't get anything else from some outside source of satisfaction. If you want changes, then change in this moment and only this moment because it is all there ever was and all there ever will be.

I am in total agreement with Frank.

I mean, you're born into this world with people demanding things of you, demanding you go to school, demanding you do your work, get a job, support to economy by making community service mandatory in order to graduate, and being told you should go to college so you can rank in the money.

Well, while everyone else sells their life to the world doing what they're told, have fun, I'm doing what I wanna do. Hangin with friends havin a good ole time! That's what matters to me.

we are told from an early age that success can be measured by the things we own and the opinions that others hold of us, that happiness is earned by hard work and that civilization is mankind's greatest achievement. it is drummed into us that society's goal is the common good and that the rules and laws of our society can keep us safe from descending into the barbarism from which we emerged. the golden rule, the american dream, the ten commandments; all of it in place for our protection. we know it's a crock of shit, but still we reach for that brass ring (it sure looks like gold, doesn't it).

but,

the choice has always been yours. follow the path cut by others to that illusion of comfort and safety or lead yourself to your own happiness. obey the materialistic constraints of society and live inside of that dream or walk alone and run the risk of losing what little you have. in both cases the destination is death, so i suppose that in the grand scheme of things it really doesn't matter which road you choose.
