maintaining six or fewer mature or 12 or fewer immature marijuana plants per person with an identification card.
does mature mean flowering?
can i have 6 flowering plants, and 12 vegging? or can i only have 12 total? i'm a bit confused
i don't expect to grow that much; i'd like to have 3 plants flowering, 2 mothers, and 3-4 clones.
so the two questions are:
1. what is MATURE? must it be flowering? or would a vegging mother plant be considered mature?
2. can i have 12 total, or 18 total?

The operative word is "or". It is not "and". I grow no more than a total of 11 plants at any time (for me and the hubby, both med users). It would be nice to have 24 plants, but I'm a bit paranoid and distrustful of my local government. I've never been busted, I keep a very low profile (no card) and by keeping below our 12 "mature" plant limit, there is no way I will be busted for growing too many plants. In my area, they are busting over-enthusiastic medical growers. Granny's advice is to grow no more than 6 plants, and treat it like it was still illegal- don't tell anyone!- Granny:hippy:

me, i'd at most have 3 plants flowering, 3 mothers, and 3 clones. now do i have 3 mature plants cuz they're flowering? do i have 6 "mature" plants including the mothers? what is "mature"? just flowering? if i have more than 6 plants total am i over my limit?
it does very clearly say "OR" but the wording is pitiful; who wrote this?

what if you have a mix? if you have ANY flowering plants, does that mean you can have no more than 6 plants TOTAL??? that's what storm crow is saying
someone else please weigh in; i realize perhaps "to be safe" i shouldn't have more than 6, but man, i'd like to know FOR SURE, because if i had the opportunity i'd certainly be growing more than 6 from time to time
i'll only be flowering under 250w hps and probably SCROGing so i can't have many plants anyway, but i'd really like to know

and i have another question for med users and it is this: what if i get pulled over while driving, what is the rule for DUI (or DWI or whatever it is called)? i don't drive when stoned, and i don't smoke while driving, but i may smoke, then drive a few hours later; i realize that i should try to not get stopped, but i'm paranoid (and man there's cops all over down at the beach here in OC) that a cop might pull me over while i still have a little buzz going on
can i be charged with DWI for ANY mj in my system???
any advice here would be appreciated; med users, if a cop asked you if you'd had any alcohol/drugs today would you say no? would you say "yes, i'm a med mj user??" i would plan to say "no" but then if they found out would i get charged with lying to a police officer or some such?

Shit man in my state medical just passed and we cant grow. It is fukin stupid we pay 120-180 for and 1/8 of serious dank(white widow, train, etc) its cheaper on the street. This whole prohibition is stupid, I wish we could just grow, the canadias prices are down to 100 for and OZ. and were paying rent payments and car payments for 1 oz. Stupid:pimp:
Yes you can, but it is probably pretty unlikely because you would have to fail their sobriety test (where they make you touch your nose with your fingers, walk in a straight line, etc.). I wouldn't say anything, I would just play it cool. If you say you smoked pot earlier, for whatever reason, they will have more reason to harass you, or search your car (IE mess it up for you to clean up later).Quote:

MMJ is legal in California and there isn't a damn thing LEO's can do about it. Make sure you have a copy of your scrip in your wallet, your glove box etc. If questioned, produce your prescription then keep your mouth shut.
Under California's "Implied Consent Law", you must submit to a breathalyzer test if a LEO demands that you do so. Breathalyzers can't measure thc - you know this, the police know this... Draw your own conclusions.
As far as California's law on the number of plants goes - it makes no sense. It says "... 12 immature OR 6 mature plants..." So ya grow 12 plants and when they reach the point of maturity you kill six????? It makes no sense, but that's the way the law is written.
Anything you say can be held against you as volenteered info before you are read your rights. Do not volunteer info. Cops are tought to lie to get you to say anything. You can not be held responsible for any lie till you are read your maranda rights. You can say your from mars till rights are read to you. I have just learned a great deal about how it works here on the eastcoast.. All a cop has to say is he smells pot or beer and he has the right to search your car or home without a warrant. He ( cops ) are tought to lie about that in order to search now and not wait for a warrant. This info is straight from my lawyer and an ex narc officer. Tell me is this protecting your constitutional rights ? Or just going for a bust for the good of the comunity.
Ey I just gotta add that, since you live in cali I'm sure at most all you'd get from a cop is a little harrassment and your weed taken away MAYBE. Chances are they wanna smoke up some of your dank. Anyways just trying to reduce the paranoia there. If that is the law 12 immature and 6 mature. I think they made it like that so if you start from seed, lets say half turn out male? Atleast you got 6 females, but you are getting less bud than maybe espected or w/e....I think it's something along those lines.

i wouldn't keep hitting the dead horse (really alive and very confused horse) if it wasn't important, but ideally i'd have:
-3 plants flowering
-3 mothers
-3-5 clones
at any given time. i just don't know if that is legal or not. i'd rather not just have 6 but that seems like i might have to
another thought of mine was that i would veg plants for 4 months; in my veg room have: mother, her new clones, and 2 month old clones, and just cycle that way.........anyway, WAT-EVA :)
And remember, you are relying on a cop's perception of what a "mature plant" happens to be! If he says your twelve 3 inch babies are "mature plants", you'll have to prove they aren't in court, which costs you time, money, and your plants! Just keep it at 6 plants or less plants-period! you're right i'm sure; it'll be ok at first but rather a bummer that i'll have to limit my mothers; makes me think that perhaps i should just keep a room for a couple moms, and then when i take cuttings, just root them and then flower them right off, SOG style, anyway there are options, but i'm gonna have to maximize those 6 plants; lots of scrog and lst possibilities :)
