Do these look OK to you guys ?
These are NL from Nirvana, 3 weeks into veg, no nutes yet just tap water everyday. The lights are 2x125w(6500k) envirolites, photoperiod is 16/8. I will get a PH adjusting kit soon as i approach 12/12. Any advice you can give us?
N.B. I am concerned as to the brown marks on the plant in pic 3, is this just burn from the light ?
Thanks guys.

I noticed that they are all growing at a different rate, some fans are fatter than others from plant to plant, i guess this is just genetics. Please don`t laugh that they are soo small.
Why are the so compact ? no lateral branches yet.

More of the same, i hav used milar, not tin foil and the lights are about 2 inches from the tallest plant.

Hey splat u said the plants are 3 weeks old ?....If so they look a little undeveloped for that time frame?hmmm...I would think maybe u should switch to a light period of 24-7 for another week or so....just to get them a little more developed...or 20-4....have u used any superthrive with ur waterings i used it and it works very well for the transplanting and for vegging....its not a nute its an additive and contains vitamins and hormones for building healthy roots and increasing foliage....u should definately get a ph kit and test that tap waters ph.....just my 2 cents:thumbsup:

Thanks for the reply dude, i would say newrly 3 weeks, and yes i will increase the light cycle to 18/6 and see if i can get some superthrive and see then what happens.
I have moved the lights a couple of inches away incase it is heat stress.

no prob.....I would try to put them under for 24hrs for 7days or 20-4 for a week......just to give them an extra boost....How far were ur lights? I keep my cool blues about 3 to 4in away max..... u want the light close but not that close to burn them.....the browning of the leaves might be a ph problem....need to check that asap before u start adding any nutes...here is a pic of one of my plants blueberry strain..in first week of flowering:thumbsup:

Wow how long has that been in veg for ? Looks nice and tight, bet you`re looking forward to flowering?
I`ll get a ph kit today, do i need to test the PH of the soil or just the water i`m adding ?
Regards.

Splat,
You have good light obviously because your internodes are tight.
But it is time to start feeding.
One thing I am seeing is that those plants look a little overwatered. Luckily they will be ready to repot very very soon, and when you repot them, mix even MORE perlite into your potting soil for better drainage. You may be also seeing a combination of low pH and wet soil. That yellowing and spotting is not JUST from the lack of nutes.

Thanks dude that plant was vegging for almost 3 weeks and its in its first week of flowering....I would get a ph kit from ur local fish aquarium or pool section and use it to test ur water with or withought ur nutes and see what ur ph is at...... if its low u can get a ph adjuster u want it between 6.5 and 7.5 if ur going to give it some nutes get something high in nitrogen at 1/4 of the reccommended dose to see how ur plant reacts and remember always check ur ph levels after u add ur nutes to ur water.....and listen to stinkyattic she is one of the best at given advise here..peace

Thanks Stinky for the reply i have gotten a PH kit and my tap water was 8.0, i have shifted the PH i`m using now with a little vinegar, i will overpot this weekend as soon as the soil dries up a bit, i`ll post more pics soon if things improve, I have ordered some Biobizz grow and bloom nutes will this be ok do you think ?
I have set the timer now for a 20/4 photo period to get them cooking.
Thanks everyone for your help and Haze21. Peace !

I agree they do look slightly overwatered, your lower leaves will yellow first with overwatering. In the grow bible it says to water well, wait 2-3 days for next watering. Your roots need oxygen as well as water, so the days without water give time for air to creep in among the roots. Good Luck and Jah Bless.

transplant shock looks like to me (noticed them in bigger pots), it'll take a few days for that to be overcome, just be patient and slow down the watering.

Cheers all, i watched a video Stoned Free Guide to Growing Cannabis. - Google Video and the trouble shooting section explained about over watering. I was watering everyday, sometimes twice in the same day. Lets hope the over potting and less watering will save them, i`ll keep you posted people.

Yes the droopy leaves could be ur over watering bud.....glad to see u added the perlite in there with the soil that helps greatly with the drainage.....A good way to water is to lift the pots if they feel lite then its time to water....if there heavy then leave alone....sometimes the top soil will be dry but underneath its still wet....stick 2 fingers about 2 inches deep in the soil to see if its moist....peace....

Do you know what your runoff pH is, or your soil pH?
What exactly are you using for soil, anyway?
I really strongly suspect that you may be running too low. The stunting screams low pH to me, made much worse with the excess moisture.

HI stinky !
i had a look at my soil run off PH and it`s 6.4 i am using John Innes Potting Compost #1 Base
7 parts sterilized loam
3 parts peat
2 parts sand or grit
Fertilizer: 4 oz / 8 gallons (3 grams / liter)
Lime or chalk: 3/4 oz / 8 gallons ( 0.5 grams / liter).
My weeds are already looking alot better and have lost the droopiness they were showing, i do have some Bio grow 8/2/6. I dont want to add any just yet or should i ?
I have`nt watered for 2 days and the leaves are standing up better.
