Man Dylan is the greatest songwriter of all time. My all time favourite has to be 'Don't Think Twice, It's Allright' but I have loads more like Silvio, Like a Rolling Stone, Blowin' in The Wind, All Along The Watchtower, Tangled Up In Blue, It Ain't me babe, man there's too many haha.
My dad's a big Dylan fan, I like hime too. . . I got a fav but I can't think of it. . .
lol :P
he has sooo many songs,, heaps of good ones, subterainian homesick blues is my fav atm
Bob Dylan is THE MAN!!! His music captured an entire generation, and I love him to death.
Blowin' in the Wind has to be his best song, just through the sheer power and depth of the lyrics, but everything he's done is genius.
Times they are a changing
I dont belive eve of destruction was writtian by bob, it became a hitQuote:

Im a fan myself. My favorite song would have to be Hurricane. He is coming to cleveland June 14 and im hoping to snag a few tickets.
I love All Along The Watchtower. For a long time, I thought Jimi Hendrix wrote the song, but when I finally heard Dylan's original, I was blown away.
ahhh to many to name.
I like whole albums lol.
Another side of bob dylan
Highway 61 revisited
to many to name.
And i saw him about a year ago and it wasnt bad but not great. Hes never been known for his live shows and his voice has definately been hurt by to many years of smoking the ole wacky tabacky.
I have 21 Dylan albums and I love...most of them. Some are terrible, namely his Live: 1964. But by god do I love his music. I'm mainly into his early accoustic stuff, which is why I love the Bootleg series.
Has anyone watched "No Direction Home?" I must say, I had far more respect for Dylan BEFORE I saw the film. When the great wordsmith says things like "I don't write topical songs," to avoid speaking up for a generation, it's a bit dissapointing.
i LOVE listening to some bob dylan...
my favorites are:
all along the watchtower
and
like a rolling stone
He's got some Great LPs .. my favorites are Blood on the Tracks, Blonde on Blonde, and Time out of Mind ... but reasonable people can argue all night long ..
My favorite song is Idiot Wind ..
Ive seen both No diection home and dont look back and i dont see how you can lose respect for him. He does nothing out of the ordinary for dylan, rejects all media, condemns them for labeling him and such.Quote:

My favorite has to be tangled up in blue. It makes me a little choked up every time I hear it.
Too many remakes of all along the watchtower have kind of ruined it for me.
I love Dylan's tunes too but one thing that always bothers me about him is he denies ever using weed. Yet he wrote about weed in his songs, Dude WTF?! I still love his music and if this wasn't a cannabis site I wouldn't even bring it up.

"No Direction Home" is great, "Don't Look Back" is worth a watch and one i've not seen fully is "Eat The Document" watched a bit where Dylan and John Lennon are stoned, chatting in the back of a car. :)
Ooops nearly forgot to add Rainy Day Women #12 & 35!
Dylan sang a lotta good stuff but my favourites are.....
Hurricane
Knockin' on Heavens Door
Maggie's Farm
Like a Rolling Stone
The Mighty Quinn (Quinn the Eskimo)

When the Beatles first became famous in America, Bob Dylan heard their lyrics "I can't hide I can't hide I can't hide", from the hit song I Want to Hold Your Hand, as "I get high I get high I get high". He thought that they were tokers, but they had not yet tried it. They popped pills, but were still under the impression that weed was dangerous. Here's the story, by the music writer Al Aronowitz, who introduced the Beatles to Dylan, and marijuana, in a New York hotel in 1964:Quote:
