Typical Bounce Back Period for Clones in growing Medium?
Clones aren't perking up as quickly as they have in times past... this is a different strain than usual so perhaps these are a bit slower? I am growing Da Purps... got some clones from a buddy. Some were very mature, showing plenty of true leaves, with almost too much root to be put into a 5-6 inch pot. Others had smaller roots, and less true leaves. In any case, they aren't bouncing back and standing proud nearly as quick as the ladies I got in the past. It's been about 36 hours and alot of them still look quite weak. My r/h is at 48%, I would like to raise that but don't have a humidifier, only a d\h. Clones were put into Sunshine#4 and were also given ten ML of B1 per gallon for the first watering. Thanks gang.

they should bounce back whithin the next 12-24 hours

its mostly likely just the strain. Just stick at it, see how they do. Got any pics handy?

Here are a few pictures... this clones have been in the sunshine#4 for about 36 hours now.. not much sign of improvement, in fact.. some of them look worse. Is this typical with some strains? I was told that a friend of a friend is doing the same strain, and that his clones took close to a week to look good.... but also all of his clones were about 6-7 inches tall, while some of mine barely look mature enough to be planted. Any advice is appreciated.

Pics didn't load RP
What was the source of the clones?
You say some came with lots of roots... had they come out of an aero system? Or were they rooted in some type of plug?
Typical Bounce Back Period for Clones in growing Medium?
I assume they were in a cloning machine, I was told the guy who gave them to the friend to give to me does a pretty good job at what he does. Also, a friend of a friend is growing the same herb, from the same source, only his clones were taller. I get the feeling I was given clones that were not paid as close attention to... and perhaps are not as stable. Lowered the light a foot... hopefully these ladies perk right now. Here are the pictures.

As you can see, a few of them just look straight up dead...I was given 54 and only paid for 50, I am fine with losing 5-10 of em, as long as I have over forty good ones to put through this cycle. Otherwise, I kind of got ripped off. I don't want to jump to any conclusions just yet, for it is too early... but this is not my first time, and these are without question the slowest to come back to life. I gave them B1 mixed with their first watering.

Smaller cuts like that are less desirable... they DO get off the ground slower.. and if you got cuts from low on the plant, even worse; different hormone and brix levels=slow ass growth.
I hope you got a REALLY good deal- at least that your friend paid way more for his given that they are going to be more vigorous.

No, did not get a good deal... these looks pretty shitty don't they attic? I am a bit concerned here. I paid $500 for 54 of them, and I must say...I am a bit annoyed right now. Do most of the small cuttings take off eventually too it's just a slower process?
I have to assume this guy knows what he is doing... but still, at that price they should be nice and developed.

Hey razza, you from the Boston area? If so, where did you get the Sunshine mix #4? I've been wanting to do a grow in that.
Typical Bounce Back Period for Clones in growing Medium?
Nope, not from Boston... grew up near there though but currently living in Cali. Clones not looking any better, get the feeling I was given some bunk ones... a few more have shriveled up and died.

What strain is it? I didn't see it while reading through the thread and may have missed it but some strains are just plain hard to get rooted. I've been having similar probs as yours with Slyder while the C99, White Russian, Ak47 and others all rooted fine and were in pots by no more than 2 weeks from the cutting while the Slyders come through the process a week longer and usually at two to three times the mortality rate from normal (60% vs 95%). But Slyder is some of the best, if not the best smoke I've seen for some time now and well worth the extra effort!

Geez RP that's no good whatsoever.
Small ones, if they survive, will eventually pick up of course but that's fucking BS re: $10 a clone for lame cuts, ESPECIALLY since you bought so many! I'd be calling for replacements... but shit... the nature of this game means the likelihood of getting them is low.
Anyway hey, ya see the sox/yanks PUMMELING Friday? word WORD!!!!

Stinky,
The Red Sox have been laying down the freaking smack down on the Yankees. I am a very happy boy despite my problems in the garden right now. I believe they hold the much needed pieces to take the east this year barring any huge injuries to our pitching staff. Very exciting time to be a Sox fan tho! Will be in San Diego for those games, and Oakland as well.
Babies don't look all that much better, have lost 12 now... my friend is in the process of talking to the dude and figuring out what the deal is. I will be requesting the money back for at least twelve considering I paid a pretty nice premium on them. Not only that, but the ones that died lacked the needed root structure to survive in any garden, not mine specifically..so we will see what happens.
I do think most of the rest will make it though... so I guess I lost 12-14 out of 54. I was very discouraged, still am a bit... but a friend with more experience than I came over and said he thinks the rest will be just fine. No signs of much growth really, but I need to wait the ten days prior to making a judgement. Also found a bit of mildew on them, but I will be taking care of that shortly.
P.S The strain is da purps or granddaddy purps..or whatever else it's called. Not the easiest plant to clone\root in the world from what I have read. Hopefully things start looking up soon!

Sorry, forgot to add... gave them another dose of B-1 today with their water... as well as vegging nutes. Total PPM was under 200, going to go conservative until these ladies show me they are adjusting.

Yikes!!! Was just in the room to say good night to the babies and see how they were doing.. .sitting on the ground carefully looking at them and low and behold I find a fucking web with spider mites chilling getting all up on a plant. I am about to apply neem oil, hopefully they are only one a few of the clones... I have a Hot Spot Strip in there, going to replace it shortly just to make sure and spray the hell outta these things.
Hopefully they didn't reproduce. Can anyone confirm their reproductive cycle...I believe it's 5-6 days? I have had the clones four days now, but hell,I'm sure they had bugs prior to even getting to me. YIKES!!! Wish me luck...

Gave em a nice solid dose of neem oil, never needed to use the stuff so I am curious to see how well it works. I only spotted a web on that one single clone, so hopefully I got to it fairly quickly. I'm also going to go to the store tomorrow and get some type of bomb..I want these critters dead...now.
Definitely not helping the mildew situation that I needed to folar spray tonight, but when you spot those things..you need to react. Hopefully everything will be in order within a few days and these honies will feel better.

OMG did the mites come in on the CLONES???
Wow... that's some serious screwage from your cutting source. He needs a smack upside the dome.
Typical Bounce Back Period for Clones in growing Medium?
Most likely they came with the clones I'm sure. I just found out this guy doesn't even grow herb, he just dishes out clones to make some extra money. I'm sure he is loaded with bugs because he has enormous mothers that he tries to absolutely max out everytime. I hope they are controllable man... god I wish my original source was available for cutting this time. Guess I'll have to roll with the punches and hope for the best.

shitty clones will come around, if you can keep them alive. smites suck big time. and the cycle is 4-7 days...
hope that helps...
