Obama goes rude on Rudy

WASHINGTON -- Democratic presidential candidates on Wednesday rebuked Republican rival Rudy Giuliani for suggesting that the United States could face another major terrorist attack if a Democrat is elected in 2008.
Illinois Sen. Barack Obama said the former New York City mayor, who was in charge on Sept. 11, 2001, should not be making the terrorist threat into ''the punchline of another political attack.''

''Rudy Giuliani today has taken the politics of fear to a new low and I believe Americans are ready to reject those kind of politics,'' Obama said in a statement.

Former North Carolina Sen. John Edwards and Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton also joined in the criticism.

Giuliani's remark Tuesday echoed sentiments expressed by other Republicans in election time. The former mayor said if a Democrat is elected, ''it sounds to me like we're going on defense. We're going to wave the white flag there.''

But, he said, if a Republican wins, ''we will remain on offense'' trying to anticipate what the terrorists are going to do and ''trying to stop them before they do it.''

"I listen a little to the Democrats and if one of them gets elected, we are going on defense. We will wave the white flag on Iraq. We will cut back on the Patriot Act, electronic surveillance, interrogation and we will be back to our pre-Sept. 11 attitude of defense."

So what part of this statement isn't true? Hard to hold back terrorists with a handfull of daisys.

Personally, I believe the above to be the best news ever, Get out of Iraq, A 10, cut back (or out) the patriot act, A-10+, do away with electronic surveilance, A-10+, Unlawful detentions and torture, an 11, if those statements are true, I say hooray, we've rejected the politics of fear.... Honestly Psycho, the bottom line is that it really doesn't make a difference who is in the White House and who is in control of Congress. 9/11 would have happened if Gore had gotten the votes in 2000...um, well..you know what I mean, and it would have happened if it was a Republican president that Monica had been blowing instead of Clinton for the 8 years prior. Who's really responsible for the deaths? Who's supplying the IEDs? I find it VERY strange on how we degrade our own but yet don't speak up about those like Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

Does it really matter who's supplying the IED's? It was Dubya who sent those kids to die for his own little cause. But yeah, Ahmadinejad's a bad guy who should be kept on a very short leash. Especially now that the world has seen what happens when you give a bad guy control of the world's most powerful military and don't keep him under control.

Anyway guys the conservatives are done in 2008.Many Americans are waking up to realize what a big mistake this war has become and the will of the people are being ignored again.Any politician that wants to increase the troop levels in Iraq wont have a chance come election time.The majority of Americans want the troops home now.

Yeah can we really sit here saying that the 8 years clinton was in the house was on the offensive of terrorism. NO we cant! the entire time he was in office, though it was good for our economy, well set us up for much worse circumstances for the future as we can see.
