Can anyone please tell me some good tecniques for getting a good, large, crystallized yield. I'm gonna be growing outdoors. Also give tips for organic fertilizer so i know how much to put so it stops b4 the last two weeks of harvest.
P.S. Has enyone used the carbon monoxide tecnique on seedlings to induce females? did it work?
can you explain the carbon Monoxide idea. I would think that since carbon mon. can kill humans it can kill plants.
CO and CO2 are REALLY different... I have never heard of any application of CO in ag... not to say it doesn't exist bu tdo you have a reference for that?
well i already carbon monoxided my plants and they are fine.

apparently from other research, people have tested other plants and it showed that CO gave 100% females even in a plant that is monoecious.
hmmmm........thats interesting reading. would it really be worth it to risk your life to get your plant female? if it actually works.
well actually i just hooked up a box to the back of a car exhaust with the seedlings inside and turned it on so it would go into the box. then i turned it off when i thought it was full of carbon monoxide. i repeated for a while and after that i took them out and they were fine. hopefully i did it right.

most modern cars do not put out much co emmissions,computer controlled engines and a good functioning convertor in exhuast really cleans up emmisions from modern cars and you may have just gave them a good dose of c02 rather than co if you dont have an old car,you may want to use the lawn mower next time.

Even is this technique seems plausable in the and I vote that link a stick, I've answered that question so many times and most of what I tell people is in there. well I stuck the exhaust pipe from the back of a 72 nova and turned it on while the pipe was in a box with the seedlings... i did it outside too. I think the risk of carbon monoxide exposure outside is pretty low. it isn't like im stickin the pipe into my lungs or in a closed space.
get a chopper like on cheech and chong and rev the sucker up! keke

Plants dont need the green light so much,so you might ask why SP is this so strong in photosythetically useful radation (PUR)The light is actually stronger in the green avalenths than any other coulors.

Sulphur plasma has the ability to give you the growing power of the sun here on earth when ever or were ever you need it.

hmmm I'd be careful that site had some techniques that were a little iffy, interrupting the photoperiod for one, I have only heard to do that when you are trying to shock a female male, be safe!
i think it worked! i did it to my four plants and they weren't given adequet lighting so i saw very tiny pistils on all four. i still can't tell what they are but it looks that all of them have it. i might have all females.

So it's been four years, has anyone proved that this actually works? I'll be starting a grow of about 100 after Christmas. I'll post the results.
This only works if you keep 4 nickels in the grow room - one in each corner, tails up... sounds like a wives tale to me. Post results though. Prove me wrong!

Personally, I would think it would screw up 'photosynthesis' and what is the purpose of that?

I'd favor 'femenized seeds' or a clone over wasting gas at $4 plus a gallon! Not to mention exposure and the environment.
If you do try it, will you please submit a grow log and keep us informed, please?
Would like to know the answer. But, not sure I wanna screw up Mother Nature! I am thinking, how many gallons of gas vs. yield. Or just good Ferts?
Your lucky, gas in Australia is $5.70 a gallon. Anyway my idea was to shove a garden hose into my little generator with the other end in a little camping tent with my seedlings. Then run it for 3 hours. Apparently it doesn't hurt the plants. ----96 bottles of beer left!
Well, at $5.70 a gallon, you must have a pretty good idea that this will work. For 100 plants and 96 btls on the wall. Will be anxious to watch your grow. I doubt the C02 would hurt the plants, since they synthesize C02 and give us cleaner air! Grow a ton of 'um outside and they will not die in the C02. The more trees and plants the cleaner the air! Wonder, if they work harder for photosynthesis if that makes them stronger bud. . .and counting 96 btls and filling um up! pr
Fridge a bit empty now, having a hard time counting em! Carbon Monoxide -CO is different to Carbon Dioxide -CO2, Idea was to hit em with exhaust gas for a few hours and that's it. Might be dreaming but other folks seem to think it works
You do realize that carbon monoxide will leave solid deposits,that settle on the plant. Thats why it is never recommended,that you grow outside near expressways or highly traveled roads.Emissions..Ewwww! Rule of thumb!

CO is carbonmonoxide and is deadly tif use indoors or a closed area . People have died by bar b que ing indoors or sleeping in cars with defective exhust that gives off CO or carbonmonoxide. Stay away and stay alive. CO2 on the other hand is not as deadly as long as there is 20% atmospheric oxygen available cocerntrationos above `1500 ppms could cause a problem.
carbon monoxide is poisonous, just stick to planting more seeds if you're that worried about getting females.Quote:
