I don't like Carlos Mencia for the fact that none of his jokes are original, a lot of them are based on jokes that George Lopez made.
Alot of his 'jokes' are sterotypes. Even though they are funny he just, cant do it. He doesnt have the voice. I hate him too.
george lopez is a much better comedian than mencia, but its because mencia cant correctly pull off the jokes he tries to. it just dosent work for him like it works for george lopez.Quote:

Some other comedians, like Chris Rock use similar comedic methods, but he doesn't tell the same fucking joke every freakin' routine.

wow....i have always liked mencia...he is just another kind of comedian....
he may do similar jokes, and whatever, but if you think about it, a lot of the great comedians do....you go see eddie murphy, robin williams, george carlin, whoopie godlberg, all of whom i love, and they are still doing most of the same skits that got them famous, way back when....russell peters, same thing with him and east indians, and he is great.....everyone likes something different..

mencia is and always has been a douche. first of all lets get one thing straight, he owes getting famous to dave chapelle. mind of mencia is a ripoff(albeit an unfunny one) of chappelles show through and through. he also has this pretentious air about him it is hard to explain but i think you all know what i mean, like how he has all these things figured out. then you find out he ripped off all his jokes. and the comparisons to other comedians being influenced is laughable. influence and plagiarism are different. his comedy was incredibly low brow in the first place though and even with ripping people off i dont know how he got famous. really his jokes amount to, black people are athletic criminals, mexicans are caled beaners and want low paying jobs in america, white people are wannabes it is the most tiresome jokes i have ever heard it honestly sounds like a robbed his jokes from a junior high student who was just made aware of the existence of racial jokes. someone kill this asshole because i am tired of seeing him say beaner and der duh der on commercials. if you are a fan of carlos mencia you should be ashamed of yourself
