get you a good soilless mix.
I love hummus. But peat hummus is gross. I prefer extra garlic, or roasted red pepper.
Oh wait... HUMUS... lol
Meh, if you can find something other than peat, it's worth the extra search.
If your a bit of a hippie make sure it isnā??t peat taken from a natural peat bog - its very un echo friendly!
but it will work.....?
im getting hungry
Peat is very acidic and really not suited for a healthy plant. Most potting soil mixtures have it but usually it's used only as a filler and bags with it listed first on the list of ingredients should be avoided.
what is the absolute best and where do i get it????
I use Fox Farms potting soil with great success and can be easily found at _____ .

Fox farms - Google Search
Look at them all ^^^^ Don't let a little search engine like Google intimidate ya!
you can use a good sterile soil, mix it with perlite about 60-40, and add the nutrients yourself. this way you can control what you are giving your plants, avoiding guessing games played with fox farm.
or you can go with it, whatever. I used ocean forest my first grow, and it was pretty good. It's filled with some good organic fertilizers, but it may be a little too hot for young seedlings. I'd say use Light Warrior if you want to go the foxfarm route, and add some perlite for drainage.
