experience always reigns over non-experience.
Depends how well the quality and amount she produced when she did and also what her methods are.
Word UP!... personally I like doing things my way... i learned a lot when I gre and it was a bunch of fun! It even got me interester into maybe going into horticulture!Quote:

1) don't say 'she used to be a huge dealer' if you value security
2) The times they are a changin'.... her experience is a great start but with today's advasnces in lighting and fertilizer technology, you guys could be a killer team... ad everyone know I am all for parent/child grow coops lol. Very very good for bonding but watch yourself, you know? Her gardening skills will always translate... get her on this site!!!
i meant like 30 years ago lmfao..ill be sure for that in the future xD i fixed it anyway
Yeah, get her to join up and take her experiences and modern tech and put it all together - it'd be a good team.
we alrdy have 1 regular heating lamp. she says thats all we need ^_-
A heating lamp? Hmmm, tbh im not too sure.
that would almost definately depend on what type fo bulb is in it...Quote:

If you're just using the SOCKET... fine. Call it a socket.
Go chill in the grow area and help mum catch up to the 21st c.
i never kenw there was a specific bulb for heatlamps? lol.. i thought it just used w/e bulb is in it...
you know tho.. now that i think about it, what i said doesn't make much sense... cuz CFL bulbs don't get hot... i didn't think about that atm o.0 but yeah, i have a cfl bulb mounted under my computer desk for my fly traps and it never gets over about 80-90 degrees or so....
btw, my disclaimer is as follows:
when it comes to growing, my words are never to be took as truth, just assumed possibility until a real grower confirms or denys it... i still know nearly nothing about growing... i just try to offer input where i can... but any grower here, should have their word taken over mine :D trust me... it's for the best lol..
yup takes lots of juice and emits as heat rather than light. red and infrared if i am not mistaken. very very bad for plants. too much heat. not enough usable lumens. makes your electrical meter spin around like the exorcist.Quote:

But yeah man just get your mom up on the know how, and also learn up yourself. You should do fine.

5 baby green-neck mallards.. even tho i had that fucked up heat lamp thing, they lived... but it was a rough battle.. they almost didn't make it =/ (got 'em when they were chicks)... once they got big tho... i quickly found out they had to be relocated to a farm... it upset me, cuz i loved my duckies.... i grew them to full size, but our yard wasn't anywhere near big enough (the pen i had 'em in was about 4-5 feet wide at the most, and maybe 6-7 long...) a customer of my grandpa's (he mows yards, or used to) had a huge ass farm type place for 'em, so we let her take them in so they'd have the room they needed...
Back in her day a decent amount of bud might be a minimum amount of bud now :p. I wouldn't recommend anything less than 250 watts for flowering..It never hurts to update the way things are done. I think it needs to be done right if possible. Check out the cultivation section.
edit: I just read through the posts and heavens no a heating lamp or w/e that is wont work lol. I'd recommend CFL's or some kind of fluorescents for seedlings and vegetative plants and HID lights (more specifically HPS) for flowering. Or you could just use an HPS for the whole grow. I'm doing it now and it seems to be going pretty well so far.
I didnt read this thread so sorry if someone already said this but you should totally have a contest to see who can grow a better plant.
