those spam mails ALWAYS have a link to some site, or tell you to go to www.whateerthefuck.com and search for them there... adn you go there and it's just another porn site...

It depends, but often code can be written on sites to display the location as wherever your IP registers to... Like the porn sites say "Looking for pussy in (INSERT CITY HERE)" and if youre on your own IP its usually your city... Meaning that if you go on an anonymous proxy or some shit it registers to like russia. ha.
