Saturday night, i baught a fish from my local pet store, while i was real high. I named it peppers, it's such a great colorful fish, whole setup with food, bowl, fish, rocks and a plant. any suggestions on taking care of a fish lol

don't kill it?..lol...I wanna get one soon..I have the tank and filter and everything..and my girlfriend was gonna give me a baby koi out of her pond until it was too big to keep in the tank..but I haven't found a good place to put the tank yet
clean the bowl whenever the water gets dirty..make sure you clean it out good and try to keep the water you put the fish in a constant temp (same as what was in the bowl before..what you put it in while cleaning and the water you put back in the bowl)..other than that not too much to worry about unless it gets sick..but you can always get another fish
dont use a bowl, make sure your treat the wtaer too! If you dont it will die!
If its fresh water, you could always buy ammonia, nitrite and nitrate test kits to test your water and make sure they're at appropriate levels.
lol, fish aren't quite as hard as they say, Treat the water, put it in some graval and feed it, its not harder then that really.
in highschool a few of us had fish in our locker. they lived for like 2 years, overall, it must of sucked to be a fish.

The only thing i used to do is throw all my rubish and half eaten snacks into a cupboard in my tutor room that no one ever looked it, and i built it up over 2 years, and at the end i swear i had created a new life form. My god it honked. Bloody disgusting.
I also used to buy lockers of people and sell them double the price to the new kids that came - and they excepted.
Oh, and on the last day of the year all the older lads used to go round the school setting off the fire alarms every 10 mins or so, and the fire brigade stopped comming out to us.
I say you bong the tank. Let the fish try out what us humans call fun :jointsmile:
When i was kid i won a fish from the fair. It was in a little plastic bag and i cycled home with it all the way across town. It's dead now...but it lasted a good few years...

I think the funniest thing i ever did was snap all 4 legs off my tutors chair, and then prop the seat bak up on them - he came in and it all collapsed! It was so funny.Quote:
